Just discovered this pleasant corner of the internet. I'm a 3D artist who likes retro games

Welcome to MMLS! We've got an art forum where you can post renders of your work, if you're so inclined. I see you're interested in the modding scene, which is great because I like to encourage everyone to keep up the hard work, but I will be the first to admit that I'm not yet capable of providing meaningful feedback that can actually help the process. Most of that goes down on the Discord server. I do a pretty mean Legends 1 Volnutt impression, though.

So, you're a 3D modeler eh? What do you use to make yours? Though I create some myself as well, I doubt that you're using some second-rate software like me. So, what kinds of models do you like making? Might I mention that I've made quite the number of various Reaverbots as well as a few Mavericks from the X series as well, and other for reference purposes, I don't usually make a whole lot anymore... bah... If you got any 3D models that you'd be interested to show, just create your own little corner in the thread that Dashe was pointing out to. Considering that you said you like "retro" stuff, I'd be interested in seeing what you'd bring to the table. Many folks around here prefer stuff of the Legends variety of course, but feel free to post any renders you have saved up (I might be a bit slow on the response as I only visit here a couple times at the end of the month, but eh. Routine.) Anyways, welcome to MMLS! V Apparently there's software "worse" than Maya (this), primarily because it's primarily made for 3D printing. A typical basic, bare-bones Microsoft app, as I like to put it: "the MS Paint of 3D modelling programs." I do have Blender on this particular device from which I post stuff from. Unfortunately, I find it's UI confusing and unintuitive as heck and have no extra time for watching tutorials...
Also, I'm also a big cheap-aleck as well, so I know the value of keepin' the ol' wallet happy.

Thanks for the welcome friends I doubt that you're using some second-rate software like me I donno. If you're using Maya, you're the one using second-rate software! There's just about nothing worth doing that Blender can't do pretty well, except detail sculpting and texture painting. Anything else people tell you isn't good is just from not knowing how to use the software. Eh, but I'm also a full-blown free software zealot, so I'm never going to be happy using anything else [/quote]

Welcome to the forums! I think I heard someone talking about 3D modelling? I'm also a 3D enthusiast and also love Blender, please feel free to create your own thread and populate it with all your work, people here won't sell your posts as NFTs, at least that's what I think. I'm also a 2d artist and currently working on a redraw of a certain scene from MML1, I'm making it in Blender using also the grease pencil, so it's going to be a 2.5D artwork. I'll post it when it's done.
