Hello!
My name is Ramiro, I'm an Indie Dev and teacher from Brazil. Mega Man Legends 2 is my favorite game of all time and the game that gave me the motivation to learn game development. I'm sure I don't need to tell anyone in this forum why that game is so amazing, but as an action RPG from the PSX era, it's the best thing that I've ever played on the console. I'm going to talk a lot, so I hope you guys don't mind reading too much... videogames have been a part of my life ever since I was a little kid, I love them. One day I actually got a game with a cool green cover and a blue guy on it. It was all 3D and looked to good so I had to buy it. That game was Mega Man Legends 2 and it started my passion on creating games. As the years went by I noticed how that game was innovative for it's time and eventually found out that a 3rd installment was on the way. I got really excited but soon it got cancelled and that disappointed me a lot.
After some time I actually learned to program, first C++, then Flash, then HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and also how to properly use a lot of softwares for different things. Even though I'm used to doing all of my games alone, I've never enjoyed graphics since I don't have the patience to paint. However this month I was pondering what to do as a new project and to actually challenge myself a little bit and got a revelation: "Why not give back to the internet for a change?". About 80% of what I know today I've learned on my own as a self-taught, and all of that came from reading a lot on the internet. Recently I've learned more about linear algebra and managed to make a good cell shader for my games that reminds me of Guilty Gear XRD's lighting and thought it looked really good. However, I also remembered that the fans of my favorite game of all time didn't get to see a newer installment of their franchise and that got me thinking. Last week I've decided to recreate the Horokko reaverbot in 3D and it managed to look really good... and so I made Data. Data was different because I had to do a lot of the work from scratch since his psx model was really rudimentary, however I tried to make him look as faithful to the original game as I possibly could. After that I decided to create a scene on my favorite game engine (Godot) to test it out, and Elysium's Central Area was a great demo-room to me. I've been struggling with the water shading for 3 days but I managed to do something that looks "good enough" (I'll actually work more on it later, but I want to create more things for a demo. Well then, what am I making? I'm going to create a fan-game based on the universe from MML2. It will have some reaverbots from the original, but I'm trying to create a lot of original content as well so that it doesn't just look like a MML2 remake. I was hesitant to show it in here because I thought this was some kind of closed circle, but from the forum's rules it seems I was wrong so I'm making this post! I'll keep updating the game and plan on releasing a demo build this month. I'm open to ideas, if anyone wants to give some to make the game better. I'm planning on making this a fan-made project for the fans, so I'm not only interested in MY vision of it but also yours.
I don't know if this post is the best one to put all of this, but if I should've posted this in another section of the forum please let me know and I'll change it. I hope this text gave everyone a good idea of who I am and why I'm here!
Also, you're probably wanting some pictures/gifs of the game, so here they are:

The footage on the demo room is laggy because of the gif software I'm using, It runs smoothly on a low-end laptop
Thanks for your time and I hope you guys like what I'm doing!
