Megaman Legends character height chart

Have you ever thought to yourself "man. i really wonder how high that one NPC from Megaman Legends was.." well, you don't have to anymore! because now, with the power of some math, we have height values for nearly every single thing from MML!

The process was as follows:
Thanks to the Rockman Dash's Adventure Guide we already had heights for plenty of things. for example, Roll & Tron (153 and 155 cm.) and that's just what we need as a starting point! i decided to use Tron's height, because i didn't actually knew if Roll's height includes her hat or not and that could lead to some innacuracy(now i think it actually wouldn't really. but whatever).
Since i already had pretty much all MML's models at hand. all i really needed to do is open all of them one by one and compare them to tron? well, almost. of course initially upon opening the models in your 3D editor of choice (C4D in my case) the model itself is not going the have the correct scale values. so when i opened tron's model her Y scale value by default was 6305cm. the simplest way that i could come up with to fix this is to use some proportions.
as an example. we already have 2 values (155 and 6305), now we need to open any other model that we want to get it's height value from. let's take data for this. his Y scale is 2590cm. so now we have everything we need (i don't know why i'm explaining this i'm sure everybody knows how proportions work). so how we find the missing number? i have NO idea because i forgot how to do proportions! but thanks to the internet i could just enter those values into a site that does all the hard work for me! and the final output that we get is aproximately 64cm! (i rounded up the number so it's easier to work with). so i did this on nearly every model i had (i didn't do the ones which nobody would really care about like cars or really boring NPC's like birds and stuff) and here's the list!
Actually. i should also say that plenty of height values here are actually taken from the Adventure Guide itself. i think that if we already have the official value i should use it instead of what the game's model gave me.

This amuses me to no end. In Imperial measurements, that is just under 8'5". Carbons can sure grow like weeds.

Nice effort here, always fun to figure out scales. Something to consider - most of the time when Japanese creators give character heights, they don't usually include shoes and it's a pretty even mix on whether or not they include part, or all, of the hair (more often then not the base part of the hair that follows the scalp is included, but not any extraneous spiky and/or decorative bits like antennas, ponytails or such). Confusingly, when they model characters with high heels, you usually have to measure from the area under the toes and balls of the feet with the foot arched, instead of from the bottom of the heel.

In any case, to get accurate heights you have to negatively offset the models a bit to get the base of their foot on the 0 line. Doing a bit of testing, I think the proper scale value is likely 0.025 (1/40th scale, or 40 MML units = 1cm). It's a nice clean value and gives pretty good results.

With Tron that works out really well when I drag her down so that the top of that light color bit under where her toes would be lines up with 0. This makes the top of her hair line up pretty much exactly with 155cm. When I import the Support Car and scale by that value I get L:W:H values of nearly 4.5:2.8:3.6m (each within about a 1mm margin of error). This also puts Megaman at almost exactly 140cm tall, excluding the bottom part of his shoes and the spiky bits of his hair - but including the main base portion of his hair. For Roll, excluding the bottom part of her shoes, it puts the top of her hat about 1mm over her stated 153cm height.

So I feel fairly confident about this scalar value and will be using it for the models I import into Blender from now on. Anyhow, thanks for pointing out the girls' official heights and getting me thinking about this. I always wondered what the best scale would be to use on the imported models, and now I know, heh.

EDIT: Got around to importing some stage tiles today, used that 0.025 scale size with one of the gltf importers for Blender and they all ended up with very precise values, that were either whole integers or using just one decimal place. Which I think confirms pretty clearly that 0.025 is the most accurate scalar to be use for importing models.

Is there any way to get a straight on view of the Sharukurusu reaverbot from mega man legends 1? ..For prop building reasons. 😉

I’m really curious on making sure I can scale the Sharukurusu correctly to its actual scale. I want to make sure I get the proportions correct though!

Anything I can do to do a side by side or get the model height of both Sharukurusu and Mega Man accurately is what I'm after.
