Hello guys and girls! I've been pretty silent for the last couple of months, that's because I've been working on the project I've mentioned at the TMS thread, I finally have something ready to publish so I wanted to let you know about it here.
You may remember that the project I wanted to create was a game, a "spiritual successor" for The Master System, and that's still my ultimate goal, but I decided that instead of building a new game from scratch, it was probably better to start slow, introducing my new take on the story I envisioned, the new characters' personalities and the world they live on. It would be really hard for me to push all this new information into a new game, so I decided to tell this story via a web comic, so I proudly present to you my new project: Autonoma Mekanika Spirito The planet is threatened by a species of bio-mechanical creatures known as Autonoma, it is the job of the exterminators to control the hordes of these vicious creatures. Luna and Sol are androids built specifically for this purpose, together they try to prevent the destruction of their civilization, just like the previous one disappeared hundreds of years ago.
Since this project marks some sort of a new beginning for me, I decided to assume a new identity as well, I'd like to be known as Quetzal Androide from here on now. (I will keep my username Rockman Striker on this forum only)
You can read the comic, news, character bios and more on the main site:

Congrats on the launch! I think the structure of the website could be better. Right now, you've got just the one project running and no way to get directly from the homepage to the comic in one click aside from that menu in the top right, so there's a lot of foundation laid for something larger that's not suited for the size of the site you currently have. People want to click once on something flashier, like a picture, and the earlier they see it the better. If you could put a pair of images right away on the homepage that gets you to the comic, one for English and one for Spanish, that would make navigating much faster. Latest page is probably the best, so nobody revisiting the site has to scroll backward too far.

Actually, I don't mind being called Striker for my whole life, it's a cool name, I thought it would be right to keep my persona consistent across the web, but I guess I'll stay with Striker on this site.
Thanks for the tip Dashe, I've added a small thumbnail in the homepage redirecting to the latest chapter, unfortunately I can't find how to link directly to the last page so that's a little problem I'll fix when I move the site out of google sites.
I've also added a glossary page (inspired by HF site ) where I'll try to explain whatever word or concept I use in the comic, the first entry explains what an Autonoma is, their behavior and ranks inside a colony.
And lastly, the third page is now available on the site, the first Autonoma ever to appear is this little guy:
Please consider reading and supporting this project.

Nice new name. Best of luck on the project, i'll certainly be as supportive as I can be. Thanks! right now I'm concentrating on building up a small community on Facebook, primarily of Spanish speaking people, but of course everyone is welcome to join, Twitter and Instagram are less populated because of that but all of you can follow me on your preferred social network, I basically post the same stuff on each one.
I upload a new page each Sunday, so the fourth page is already available in the site, along with the cover of the first episode, here's the artwork I used:

I've finally finished the first chapter of the comic, it is kinda hard to try to push several pieces of information about the main characters and the world in just ten pages but I did my best, I've focused on introducing the two main characters and briefly explain what they do, I'll do the same in the second chapter for the other 3 protagonists but I want to say something about them here first. You will undeniably notice that I'm basing my characters on some characters from Legends because I love them and I want to pay homage to them, this is in no way intended to become a rip-off, I believe I gave my characters their own unique appearances and personalities that sets them apart enough to call them "original" In order to let the reader know the difference I will be writing each characters's bios on my site, beginning with Megumi, the girl who appears on the first page of this new chapter. I would like to ask you to read her bio and let me know if you think it's unique enough as a character, even if you can spot right away on which character she has been based on. If you think it's not you can also let me know why and what do you think I should change, you know I'm open to suggestions anytime. sites.google.com/view/quetzal-andr0ide/comics/ams/ams-characters/megumiThanks for reading.

Hello everybody! I have been really silent about my project on this forum, basically I've been really busy trying to manage my social media accounts on three different sites, two of which I had never used before, plus normal everyday life struggles. I actually stopped drawing the comic twice because of that but I'm trying to regain the workflow I used to follow. Now, some updates about the project: It's also available on the Akaya App, a mexican version of WebToon
I was afraid to promote my comic as "inspired on MML" because I thought that people would think it's a rip-off, but then I saw other projects that do it without hesitation and people generally receive them with open hands, so I'm going to promote it freely everywhere I can.
Here's some more art of the comic:
That's all for now, if you have any comments, questions or suggestions about the comic feel free to ask them here or in my social media accounts, @quetzalandroide on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Thanks for reading!

Back at it again? Sweet!
I have to say... your line work and attention to anatomy have improved! And I like the revamped original suits they wore in Luna and Sol's concept art. Very nice!
Aw, but what happened to Luna's gorgeous locks? I liked the long-haired variant a lot (and can't help but notice the fact that there isn't too much differentiating between the two design-wise now they're so similar... I know it's probably more practical for her, but...)

Thanks SULucina! I've been improving my linework and proportions thanks to that cheap Wacom tablet I bought some time ago, also studying a lot more about anatomy (I'm not talking about anything dirty, I swear!) About Luna's locks, I'll tell you a little secret... Those are actually hair extensions, she loves to change her looks once in a while so she has tons of different accessories like that, you'll see her rocking some cute twin pigtails or single or double long braids. On the contrary, Sol is kinda resistant to change so her hair won't change drastically over the time. Their casual outfits will also change from time to time and their battle suits will receive upgrades along the way, but I'll try to make some clear differences between them to retain the day/night motif I'm going for with their personalities and appearance.

On the contrary, Sol is kinda resistant to change so her hair won't change drastically over the time. Not unlike Yuna's I suppose. Supposedly... I found this bit of concept art of her detachable pigtails somewhere but unfortunately I forgot to accredit it to its source. So, yeah, apparently Yuna was supposed to be able to "take off" her hair. For what purpose? I don't know for sure. Braids definitely would be a nice breath of fresh air in the design department, that's for sure. Though, I can definitely relate to Sol on the topic of hair - this do is this Unit's trademark look, and heck no am I going to change it. Their casual outfits will also change from time to time and their battle suits will receive upgrades along the way, but I'll try to make some clear differences between them to retain the day/night motif I'm going for with their personalities and appearance. Perhaps you could also try to incorporate their crests into their suits? Fortunately, I've got a visual example: This is a snippet of an unfinished drawing of Sol and Luna I made back in late 2019 shortly after my return in time for the Secret Santas. They also wielded different weapons partly based on their Master System equivalents' attacks; Sol supposedly packs a pair of pistols (might update this later) on both hands while Luna uses a sniper-like rifle that shoots slow but powerful shots. You don't have to do it exactly the way I have it here - just try to find a way to do it that catches the viewer's interest. This would definitely help distinguish the two better (especially in the black & white panels.) Otherwise, I'd say you've set a pretty solid foundation for this comic. Just keep at it but remember to take frequent breaks so you don't burn yourself out on this project and lose interest; that's how I kinda feel about my little wireframe mini-series thingy. Alright, I expect to see another update soon. How soon? That's for you decide! (Oh, and sorry if this gets overposted by my final update. They're always prescheduled ahead of time...)

I've actually took the inspiration from that exact concept art you mentioned! I think it's kinda weird the way Yuna's pigtails plug into her head so I designed Luna's hair extensions to be connected directly to her head gear.
I like what you suggested about them having her own crests on their suits, I can't believe I didn't though about that while designing them, it's such a basic but powerful way to make them stand out more from each other!
Also... Is that the first ever fanart of my own series? It's wonderful! Did you know that I have a little list with some goals that I want to achieve on my artist career? I think you just crossed out one item on that list 😉 I would love to post it on my social media after you've finished it, if you're planning to finish it and if you're ok with that, of course.
I really like the change of the color scheme on Sol's suit, I usually struggle a lot with colors and which ones look better together (It might be because I'm partially color blind, if that's even a real thing) but I'm trying to learn a bit of color theory to improve on that.

I was inspired by your artwork SULucina so I decided to update Luna's battlesuit, I followed some of your suggestions to craft it; there's the crescent moon symbol front and center, but it's sideways, there are now some better looking stripes along the suit, the new color palette is a lot more harmonic, there's a new backpack inspired on the one on Volnutt's armor and last but not least, Luna rocks a single long braid. I'm really happy with the result so I'm planning to design Sol's suit next. But I'll leave it for later because there's a new contest on Webtoon for Spanish speaking folks that I want to participate in, unfortunately Autonoma does not fit well in any of the two categories for the contest so I'll create a new comic for it. Well, technically I won't be creating a new comic but rather resurrecting a very old one I drew back in my highschool days, that I only showed to my brother and sister, so I'm kinda pumped up about that project. I dug out the carpet on which I still preserve approximately 200 pages of that comic (I believe I lost some of them but I'm not sure how many pages are missing) so I could remember the "essence" of it... I hated that essence, most of it it's really cringy but that's to be expected because I wrote it when I was like 13 years old, fortunately I have been rewriting the whole story in my head for the last 14 years so I'm pretty confident that I can now reboot it in a logical, not so cringy story. Please wish me luck!

Heh, I'm really digging the new armor design, Striker! Also lovin' the long braided look for her as well! And yeah, while that teal color in the old version does go together with the cyan color of her hair, there was no in between color to bridge it with the purple. So, I'm glad that you swapped it for blue instead - looks much better. Also, the addition of the pack is a smart idea, since she needs a place to keep items and the other goodies they find on their quests. Can't wait to see Sol's redesign! Remaking an old comic, eh? I've done that a few times, but all of them are still just as cringy and gross as the comics they're derived from. I could recreate a few of the cleaner short 4-panel comics I made when I was like 15, but we'll see; they're mostly Legend of Zelda themed, though, with some OC ones here and there. Personally, there's no taking the cringe out of the comics I drew up as a teenager without censoring to the point of absolute sterility and blandness. Trust me, you don't want to know what they consisted of.
