Oh damn I missed the deadline because I got busy with other stuff. Better luck next year eh?

Normally, I'd do a SS update post sooner, but this past week was pretty busy. That has changed as I'm on now a long-overdue vacation so I can get to work proper. Still got a lot to do, but the idea's taking shape. Assuming I can capture the mental image soon, I can get a rough draft hewn out within a day or two.

I'm done my prompt, just need to get an anniversary picture in...but work slammed me at the last second when I had to cover for a guy who got sick! It's going to be a close call. How's everyone else coming along?

I'm also done with the prompt. Surprisingly I had less trouble with it but now there's some erm... "quality control" with the anniversary thing which I question if I should do it this way or not.

I knew I was going to be busy as hell this season so I finished my prompt only a few hours after I received it. I'm much happier with it now than the schlock I got stuck with last year.

My rough draft is done, and I'm doing a bit different to finish it up. It's going to be pretty rough as it's something I've started to work with, but I'm making good progress- could finish tonight, or tomorrow, depending on how long it takes to set up.

I had less trouble with it but now there's some erm... "quality control" with the anniversary thing which I question if I should do it this way or not. My litmus test is, if you can tell what the picture's supposed to be of at a glance and what prompt it was, then it works. If your risk involves doing something in the style of Jackson Pollock or Piet Mondrian, then you'd have reason to be concerned. Also, if it helps, we usually suggest considering the audience's taste when you're doing a Secret Santa piece. Since the anniversary one isn't necessarily attached to a user, then maybe think about what you or someone else would want to see. It's gift art, after all.

Just finished and turned in my assignment. Took longer than I expected, but this one turned out to be very interesting.

Despite my best intentions I got a late start this year, but after a few days of intense effort I've finally just submitted my main prompt. Going to try for the premium tonight... which should be fun, seeing as I haven't settled on an idea yet. XP

I also turned in my piece yesterday. I just didn't say anything before because i'm not sure if it qualifies and I'm yet to be given the "all green" check.

I finally got mine in. Took me all day but I'm happy with what turned out.

Finished both the actual Secret Santa and the premium challenge. Neither one of them is impressive, but hopefully the recipient likes it well enough. If it seems lacking, blame my seemingly perpetual stomach issues.

Done and submitted. Whoever I got this year is getting an exclusive 4K version by PM.

Mine are both in, too. I actually didn't make a huge mess of the medium this time!

It appears as if the official deadline's passed! I imagine late entries can still make it in with no foul before the morning turns old, but don't quote me on that. Can't wait to see the products tomorrow evening!
