Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you another Let's Play Theatre installment...
Welcome, one and all, to Let's Play Fatmancraft. This LP will run concurrently with my Pokemon Sun LP; Pokemon Sun will be weekdays, Monday through Friday, while Fatmancraft will be updated on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays.
So, what IS Fatmancraft? As you can tell by the rather snazzy titlecard I made in Photoshop, Fatmancraft is my Modded Minecraft modpack instance, specifically designed for Minecraft 1.12, to take advantage of many new features in 1.12, like Advancements, Shulker Boxes, Observer Blocks, and the like. The goal of Fatmancraft is not only to complete the main Advancements of Minecraft, but also to complete additional Advancements supplied for your amusement. For starters, the main goal of Minecraft is to kill the Ender Dragon and the Wither, the two chief boss mobs of the game... but Fatmancraft goes beyond that a bit. For starters, new ores and machines make Fatmancraft a bit difficult, but fair enough that it's not overly dramatic a shift in climate. And there are plenty of mechanics that Fatmancraft has that makes the end goals a lot more interesting to achieve.
For the record, Fatmancraft consists of the modpack itself, as well as two Advancement Packs added to it for additional Advancements. Advancements are Minecraft 1.12's revamp of the Achievement system, allowing for modpack and world users to supply their own. The Advancement packs I've added are Xisumavoid's Hermitcraft Advancement Pack, designed for fans of the Hermitcraft multiplayer server and its players, and Super-Meme-Maker's Extended Mob Heads Advancement Pack, which adds a total of 87 mob heads to collect from the game's monsters and passive mobs, as well as an advancement tracking your collection.
If you'd like to play the modpack yourself along with me, I'll supply the necessary files to play the modpack after I reach a certain point in the LP, and link them in this post. Keep in mind that when I supply the file, you'll need the MultiMC launcher to play it. You'll also need Super-Meme-Maker's Extended Mob Heads Advancement Pack and Xisumavoid's Hermitcraft Advancement Pack for the full experience; I'll explain how to install them along with Fatmancraft at a later date.
So, without further ado, let's begin!
