I know its late to reply but...oh well.
First and foremost, you said you got MML1 for N64? BUY IT FOR PLAYSTATION! It's alot nicer. Graphics are a little better, gameplay is better, and the N64 version cut a good amount of music from the original because the cartridge couldn't fit. Most improtantly, IT CUT THE STAFFROLL THEME!!!!! *Dies* but ya, MML2 is fun. I can beat it in like 6-8 hours rushing my arse off and only spending money on things that will benefit me later. But i like to have fun. As of current. i'm in the library, but i dont wanna face sera yet. so, i'm gonna go back, do some digs, get 100% items and stuff, and then, use ALL the zenny i got to upgrade my SHINING LASER!!! I love the laser. I Beat Juno from 1 with it literally within seconds. The first form took me 2 and a half seconds to destroy with the laser, second form took 5 seconds. So if you exlude movie time, i owned juno in 7 seconds, front to back. I love how he still says "It seems I have miscalculated, eden will not reach peek for another..." blah blah blah i think he says like 5 minutes and it only takes me 5 seconds. XD
