How did Rolls parents get on Forbidden island in the first place?
The wind could tear ships apart.
And it was Barrel who made the blueprint.
So why did Joe have it?
If Rolls parents came to the island with a dropship how did Joe get of the island?

Roll's parents used a dropship to get to Forbidden Island. I think Gramps might have mentioned it, and that's why when MegaMan first explores it, there are dropships there. The dropship was designed not to be affected by Forbidden Island's winds, so that's how they made it.
Actually, it WAS Roll's father who invented the dropship, not Barrel. Roll herself mentions it several times at the beginning of the game. Because Joe has the blueprint, it's commonly assumed that Joe is Roll's father.
Yuna was the one who got him off of Forbidden Island, along with everyone else who crashed there. That's why people started suddenly appearing in Yosyonke near the beginning of the game.
That should answer your questions.

To go into a little more detail, Mistress Yuna had the people who travelled to the island put in those ball dealys you see there. Then, I believe after she took over Roll's Mom's body to save her, she was unable to do so, and THAT is why she started bringing people back from Forbidden Island.

If you remember correctly, a Dropship containing Yuna's original body can be found on Forbidden Island.

Actually they don't explain that part very well, meaning how did Von Bleucher and Gramps get back to land while most everybody else was frozen? Not to mention Joe... That's why I don't think Joe is Roll's father, but I don't really know...

Yuna sent them away. She probably used Geetz to bring them back. And I bet that Joe DID make it there through the dropship. He just didn't go all the way.
Also, Gramps' ship is probably in the rubble at the entrance to the island. He probably crashed like the rest of them.

SIMSteven, you meant gatz right, I thought geetz was with Sera and Gatz was with Yuna. Anyway If she said there are too many unanswered questions, she probably meant something besides the forbidden island, since thats all cleared up I believe. I also believe that Yuna's body is in the dropship because that was where Roll's mother was and when Yuna tried to save her and took control, she just put her own body where Matilda's was.

Yeah, I meant Gatz. I ALWAYS tend to get them mixed up.
And you're thinking too hard.
Yuna's body was probably in the drop ship because it was easy storage. Not because that's where Matilda was before.

Well I thought that might of been where matilda was because Joe woke up with the drop ship plans in hand. My brain hurts (explodes)

No, Yuna used up too much nano technology on Matilda, and possessed her body. Then, she just put her original body in the drop ship so it was out of the storm (probably).

I just had to reply to this. First of all, yes it is Yunas body in the dropship. It is unexplained why some people made it back and some didn't. If I recall, gramps and Von Bleucher were the first to try to explore that island. After that, "Joe" and Matilda tried. Joe was sent back, but Matilda was injured so Yuna used her technoilogy to save her life, but used too much and could not stay in her Mother Unit body, so she took over Matildas and stored the her original body inb the dropship "Joe" and Matilda used. As for whether Joe is Roll's father, yes. It hints toards it most of the game, like the fact she after him, no one else returned until Mega Man released Sera, as well as the fact that he had the blueprints for the dropship ROLL'S FATHER designed. Then it blatanty slaps you in the face with it when you return to Yosyonke. After you talk to him about the train, it shows his girlfriend leaving, and he says, "Roll. He's the one. You can trust him. If anyone can do it, he can." then he DROPS THE PICTURE OF HIMSELF AND MATILDA THAT GRAMPS AND ROLL HAVE. It's thats not proof I don;t know what is.

People - or I think just "Joe" - -cough Banner-cough- - - return from Forbidden Island because since Yuna's not in her original "shell" she doesn't have her uber mother unit powers - namely the ability to seal people in those sphere things were they hibernate, so to speak. Since as Sera mentions later in the game, abandoning her shell pretty much cuts her out of the system entirely, her uber powers are gone, so she has Gatz fly them back. As for Barrel and Von Bluecher Why they aren't sleeping peacefully on Forbidden Island, I'm not sure. I'm guessing that by then Yuna got tired of sealing people away there, so she decided to return two and see what would happen.

Actually, I’ve sometimes wondered if Banner even was on forbidden island. For a dropship to work, a ship must be available for it to drop from. Well, someone has to pilot that ship. Aside from that, a dropship can only hold one person and only one was ever made, and we know Matilda was the one in the dropship, so Banner must have been piloting the main ship.
Perhaps when he lost contact with Matilda, he gave up and returned to Yosyonke where he tried to reconstruct a dropship and rescue Matilda, but he eventually gave up and tried to put his past behind him by pretending to have amnesia.
Of course, his ship may have crashed and since Yuna had already taken over Matilda, she just had Gatz fly him away. Still, he may have never had amnesia either way, just suppressed memories. He didn’t want to remember what had happened and didn’t want to face the truth so he convinced himself that it was only a dream or simply tried to forget it all together, but when Roll showed up things changed.
As for Barrell and Bleucher, from what we can tell they’re the first to try and explore the island. Maybe Yuna figured they weren’t going to be any trouble so she had Gatz take them to Yosynoke. In Barrel’s diary, it says that many diggers tried to explore Forbidden Island after his semi-successful journey, so Yuna probably got fed up with it and began sealing them so they wouldn’t keep coming.
