Capcom's dusting off one of their crossover series, with Deep Silver in tow (take that as you will.. ), and it looks like X is in as a proper fighter, as opposed to being an alternate skin for Zero.

X alone has made me excited for it. I hope that the tease at the end is Sigma. (And also that Tron returns as a playable fighter.)

That's what some folks are speculating, though it could be Ultron, or some are suggesting a possible fusion of the two. Some are calling it as Sigma's Kaiser body at the end of MMX3.

Either way looks fun. Wasn't planning on getting one but PS4 is starting to look mighty tempting.

Oh hell yes. It's MAHVEL, BAYBEE. So hype for X. Hope he has some interesting moves; I wonder which game's Special Weapons he'll use. My hope is he at least uses Rolling Shield and Shotgun Ice from X1 for some throwback goodness.

Rolling Shield would make a good counter for those who love to turtle offense against you. Since I hear X is able to employ his first armor set, perhaps he could use special weapons in an upgraded fashion, similar to Arthur's. Depending on how the armor is implemented, it could make things interesting. Though that being said, I hope you won't need to hold a Gem for that..

Speaking of the whole Infinity Gem mechanic, I'm glad Capcom is including it in another modern Marvel game. It really hearkens back to the old days of Marvel Super Heroes and fighting Thanos.
Who knows, maybe since the Infinity Gems are involved, maybe this will tie in with Thanos' appearance in the MCU.

It could, but I dont' know it'll equate him as the final bass, as they've already used him as a final boss for Marvel Super Heroes. That being said, it would likely rule out others like Apocalypse (X-Men vs Street Fighter) and Onslaught (MvC1). And since the last one was Galactus, it'll be a tough act to follow...
But with the Infinity War being set up, we could see Thanos make a return, as he IS starting to acivetly hunt for the Gems. Thought it makes me wonder about the two-faced being we saw in the trailer- early indications point to Ultron and Sigma (I could really see them doing a lot of damage with the Gems).
... I may be the only one thinking this, but I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of Monster Hunter make it into this entry- either something like the Ace Palico, or one of the more infamous flagship monsters like Rathalos , Gore Magala, or Brachydios.

I'm really not sure how a Monster Hunter monster would work in Marvel, but we did see the PTX-40A in Tatsunoko VS Capcom, so anything could happen.

Proably in a fashion similar to PTX and/or Gold Lightan. Depending on the monster, fighting styles can vary a bit- if something like Tigrex, you can expect fast and furious attacking, Deviljho would be a tank- being able to take lots of damage, but slow, and dishes it out. There's plenty of monsters and just as many styles you get figure out from them, I just hope they keep the roster more varied, this time around.
... Though fighting a battle on a sandship, or on the back of a Dahn Moh'rahn would be pretty sick. XD

If they put a Megaman legends character on this game I hope they use anything but Tron, I'm SICK of Tron, she's in every crossover game....it's almost disgusting. If Capcom wpn't do anything like a Legends collection or a third game at least Give another Megaman Legends characters a time to shine, Bon bonne, Sera, Yuna, anything I'm just sick of Tron and the Servots.

I'm honestly down for Teisel as a fighter though I doubt they would do it. Any MM representation at all is nice at this stage in the game.

I mean is nice to see X, But there's so many mega man series and characters they can use...Instead of...you know...Using almost half of the Capcom roster only for SF characters, Also I miss Roll and hope she comes back as a playable character.

You have to keep in mind that characters that are chosen to be in crossovers have to be somewhat recognizable in order to move units. TvC was a more niche title which is why we got some of the more obscure Capcom reps, but MvC is a huge franchise in its own right. X is arguably the smartest decision they could have made for MvCI. He placed #1 in the Capcom Unity US Poll last year ( EXE placed higher in Japan), he's never been in a fighter before, and his popularity allows him to play a pretty big role in the plot this time around (main villain looks like a Sigma/Ultron hybrid). This is one of the smarter moves they've made with the franchise in a while IMO. Also, Capcom's crossovers have never been guilty of overstuffing the games with SF chars. We're generally given a wide variety of reps from franchises both old and new. I'm hoping for Gene from God Hand this time around, personally.
