I'm surprised that nobody else has made this thread yet; And if they have, that it's so difficult to find. So here's a little hangout for all you Blue Bomber-loving Squid Kids around here to gather in. Talk about your latest matches, show off your fresh gear, or just lurk in Spike's alleyway. Every day's a Splatfest with your fellow Inklings!

I have this game but have yet to play it at the moment. I've kind of been going in a rare non-Nintendo made game kick lately, but this is one of the first ones I'll go to when I get back to playing Nintendo's stuff again.

Hopefully you can wait about a month before you'll get any Super Sea Snails. Splatfest ended only a few days ago, and you're going to want to have those to get better abilities on your gear.
Scratch that last post, we're getting a second Fest in one month here. The theme is "a classic battle as old as time itself" according to Callie. Pirates VS Ninjas
On that topic, I think I'd like to make it clear which side is superior I'm rooting for. Let's face it. Everyone agrees that ninjas are cooler.

Team Ninjas? For shame. Ninjas are boring. Pirates are fabulous and over-the-top and exactly my kind of thing. There's a reason Gilbert and Sullivan called it "The Pirates of Penzance" instead of "The Ninjas of Penzance," after all. If I had this game I'd have zero trouble picking sides whatsoever.

So, I forgot to mention. I may be starting my own Splatoon ask blog soon. Soon being whenever I decide to stop procrastinating for months on end. But before I can launch it, I may need feedback on the star of the show. You guys seem to be the most qualified candidates to pick out the flaws in a character, and I'm afraid the current story for her is riddled with reasons to label her a special snowflake wannabe. Also, Team Ninjas.

So, while I procrastinate further on that blog I promised myself, the next Splatfest is drawing near. The theme? Burgers VS PizzaAnd as much as I love being biased towards the saltier Squid Sister's pick, I just can't stand to lose another 'fest. Watch Team Burger crash and burn faster than this Miiverse Post can reach another hundred Yeahs.

Seriously? How is it that we always end up on opposite sides of these polls? Burgers are the best. Bento Box didn't make an awesome show called "Bob's Pizzas," after all. If I played Splatoon your pizza people would be outright scraping themselves off of Walter White's roof.

Looks like something was misinterpreted here. I'm pledged to Team Callie Burger this fest, but I have a feeling that karma will have team Pizza get the win just to maintain my incredible lose streak. Either way, I'd have a Extreme Bacon Boy over a flimsy Extra Cheese any day anyhow.

Oh yeah, something was definitely misinterpreted here. Because I do not play Splatoon. I might figure out how these team pledges work for real someday. I'd be willing to wager it isn't like a frat rush though.

It's simple, actually. The two Squid Sisters, Callie and Marie, get a message from "on high" and announce it on their news show. After the theme "descends", the pledge box opens. Here you pick a side based on your preference of one option over the other. Or if you're competitive scum like me Tauné, based on their popularity-to-skill ratio, where one value inexplicably grows conversely to the other. On the scheduled day of the Splatfest, there's a 24 hour time window for both teams to go at it in a Turf War. As incentive, Individuals have their Team Title rise as they win matches, going from lowly Fanboys and Fangirls, to Fiends, to Defenders, to Champions, to Kings and Queens. Would you rather pass and play Ranked Battles? Too Bad. Official League's closed, go pick a Team or go home. Once that's all done and said, in the next news update, Callie and Marie announce the winner of the month's Splatfest. This is decided based on the percentage of popularity, plus six times the percentage of victories.
Any questions?
