Link: www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2015/150713e.pdfThis man reprogrammed Earthbound from scratch, compressed Pokemon GS so much that the Kanto Region was added in as a result, and programmed for Smash Bros. Melee alongside fellow developers while being the General Manager. Truly a legend of the gaming industry who shows that he loves what he does. He will be truly missed. Rest In Peace, Mr. Satoru Iwata.

Quite amazing he did all that, and voluntarily cut his own salary as president during the tough times. He shall be missed, indeed.. I was going to change my avatar, but how ironic, that now, it's sadly appropriate for this...

Damn, that's unfortunate. It's not often you get a head of operations who'll actually do the grunt work, too. I'm surprised I hadn't heard he'd done all of that stuff until just now. Kind of makes you wish that information were more widely known when he was alive, you know?

Very sad news... This man reprogrammed Earthbound from scratch, compressed Pokemon GS so much that the Kanto Region was added in as a result, and programmed for Smash Bros. Melee alongside fellow developers while being the General Manager. I remember reading about what he did for Pokemon in this interview years ago (it's in the "Just Being President Was A Waste!" section, though the whole interview is an interesting read). I find it very inspiring to read about this kind of amazing achievements, and really admire skilled people like him.
