The problem I have with this "collection" is that it's nothing that we haven't seen done before. This is more or less an HD version of Mega Man "Complete Works", and it's not enough to catch the attention of most fans. What would have worked is throwing together a huge Classic MM collection that includes the GB games, 7/8/9/10, Rockman & Forte (SNES Version), and maybe the arcade titles. Remaster the visuals, add some new features/challenges, and you'd have a more compelling product. Most of the fanbase already owns Anniversary Collection, give them stuff that wasn't on that disk.

The reason 9 and 10 won't be on this collection is that they aren't using the same engine that 1-6 do. It's actually an interesting attempt at emulating these games, but I do wish they'd go for an update and take out the darn slowdown that can happen when too much is on the screen at once. If anything, I would personally prefer a "Classic Mode" and "Realtime Mode" option for toggling slowdown as an option.

Now I think something like that was on the 2004 Anniversary Collection, and that would be neat.

Now what would be of real value is a Megaman ps1-ps2 collection. And on this collection they could include MML1 altered to be copyright violation-free, along with MML2 and MoTB. I would not doubt it if they made such a collection, but left Legends out anyway.

Having completed the Classic Collection on 3DS, thought I'd share a few thoughts on it: What I Liked:- Faithful polished ports which look better than Virtual Console equivalents
- Access to BOTH Mega Man and Rockman versions of their respective games
- Multi-lingual Menus
- Art Gallery; including box art, concept art, magazine and poster scans, and so on
- Save/Load State System, much like VC
What I Wanted: - In-game arranged music tracks from the Complete Works series for PlayStation 1
- Another game mode unlocked by beating all 6 games (much like Wily Wars)
- Japanese menu text to be recreated as pixel graphics (they look tacked on compared to the 8-bit-like alphabet text)
