Anyone think that the museum curator in MML1 is a bit of a jerk? All she does is request that you give her rare and expensive artifacts for free, and does absolutely nothing for Megaman in return. Think about how much free money from admissions she gets from his "donations".

While this is true, the whole point of the museum is to collect enough artifacts to get some girl to show up on the top floor who has one of the components to make the Shining Laser; nothing more. Since the items simply show up as names in your inventory and serve no other real purpose, I would actually find myself excited as a child to take the junk to the curator; just so I could actually see what it looks like.

Mega Man must just like seeing his name in print. You'd be surprised how many people work for free publicity. It's actually kind of sad.

Yeah, I was excited too to see what they looked like, but Megaman already knew; he was the one who found them in the first place.

Also true, but you have to care for the player more than Megaman in a lot of instances. While he knew what they looked like, the player didn't. So video game logic dictates that as enough of an incentive to donate them to the museum. Besides, in doing so, Curator's happy, Megaman's happy because publicity and OP weapon components, and the player is happy because they get to see the fruits of their work, artifact visuals and all. Is there really a downside for the effort given? Oh yeah! Roll's happy as well, because she gets to spend alllll the Zenny you ever make to upgrade the blasted thing.

I've got to say though, those grade 3, 2, and 1 national treasures are probably worth a boat load. I imagine the Guild Master would pay good money for them since he has a Kattelox Bell of his own. Or perhaps that chick freaking sold it to him. That would be appalling.
The positive thing is that it's going towards education... sort of. The Curator doesn't seem to know jack about these artifacts and their museum descriptions reflect that. That's kind of crap. I hope Megaman let Barrel take a look at those before giving them to that no-talent hack. Perhaps Barrel didn't think they were that important. They probably wouldn't offer any knew information to him, except maybe the Human Doll.

I hope during the time Mega Man's been on Elysium the Kattelox Curator's gained the technology to google the artifacts' descriptions.

Not to mention wondering all the different weird situations that you could imagine in how the heck Megaman carried all of those in the first place. Since... you know. Hammerspace.

Well in the curator's defense she does ask in the beginning if your willing to donate anything rare you find so it's not like she is shaking you down for rare things out of the blue. Also her not knowing what things are is no surprise since no one is allowed to be in the ruins most of the time. These rare items were just pulled fresh from the ruins by the blue boy. If she did sell the Bell to the guild master it's not appalling the Digging Guild is their world's Smithsonian, they make it their job to study all the stuff pulled out of the ruins and ground. Then put it on display someplace or just make it a neat paperweight.

I personally would be offended if something I donated was sold! Oh well. That money would just have been sucked away by Rock's R&D department.

Then there's the alternate universe where Megaman could've not donated or found the Kattelox bell, then there'd be a different digger who would / could feel offended. I wonder if they took the alternate possibilities into consideration when making Legends 2. Roll selling all of Rock's equipment was a good one, but if the Kattelox Bell is with the Digger's Guild, then why?

I'd been under the impression that the bell wasn't the only one of its kind on Kattelox from the curator's use of "they're" and the fact that she was very easily able to label it as such. The Digger's Guild could have uncovered it from another set of Kattelox citizens who lived there before its latest re-initialization. Did it say how long the Guild had that one in their possession?

"MASTER'S ROOM: Left Desk: There are many famous relics from past Digs on display. Right Desk: There are lots of rare and unusual relics on display."
Well it doesn't seem to mention individual relics, I'll keep looking through the transcript though.
Wait I was looking in the wrong part of the transcripts, thought the Guildmaster had the bell. I'm gonna have to boot up the game and find out if it even says anything about the Bell. Okay found it: "Reaverbot Part: It's a Reaverbot part being used as a decoration. It almost looks harmless." Guy also has that class two national treasure shield but you can't get to it since it's on the wall right behind the bell. Lot's of interesting pictures and such on the walls in this game.

Oh wow so I guess Kattelox bells are reaver parts? Too bad they dont appear in the game. Must be extinct.

I've been really wondering if the shield could be a unique item if it's actually listed in some registry as a Grade Two National Treasure. There's no way that Reaverbot Eye (Grade 1) is one-of-a-kind, looking at all the Reaverbots there are that have eyes in these games, so if the shield is the only shield like it in the world, you'd think the eye would be Grade 2 and the shield would be Grade 1.
