(Note: Not sure if this has been posted before, but here goes.) Kickstarter LinkAs some of you guys may have seen in posts on Rockman Corner (among other news sites), TruForce Collectibles started a Kickstarter to fund the incredibly detailed Mega Man X action figure based on a Katoki Design parody made for Capcom's April Fool's Day some time ago. As posted on RMDL's Twitter and Facebook feed earlier today, I went through it earlier and found the proposed detail put into this blows the D-Arts series completely out of the water. Being incredibly rare for action figures to sport Die-Cast metallic parts and even light-ups for its size and quality build, I gave it the $250 highest tier backing in support for seeing more nice things like this hit the niche market (for starters). Also I'm a sucker for the X series and anything that looks like Katoki worked on it.
It's only around a couple of thousand away from hitting the target funding at the time of posting this, so I decided to share this with everyone else and see if you guys want to get this cool piece while there's still a chance!

If I recall right, ZeroRevive indirectly gave a link in the RTAN thread, but never actually made a topic about it. So you're good.

Yeah I did, no problems here. I'm gonna try to scrap around for some money to fund this at $80...i'm halfway to my personal goal, but, things are looking tight. Least if I miss the funding, I can still nab it from a retailer.
I will agree with this blowing D-arts and similar lines out of the water. That Die-casting and LED lights alone takes the cake.
I wonder if this gets enough popularity...would they consider doing their own rendition of Zero? Kinda wishful thinking, but I can see it happening maybe. I'm a nut for semi-realism takes on characters like this.

For me it's just frustrating to see the X series getting all of the figures! I mean, this time it makes sense because Capcom made that April Fool's prank, but usually most of the figures go straight to the X series. They don't really give fans of the others much of an opportunity to throw money at hero-shaped shelf decor, huh?
That aside, this one looks really well-done, so I shared the link on facebook. Hopefully they get the $2000 they need!
EDIT: Oh, looks like they did. Awesome.

I may throw some money in, myself- the figure looks nice, and getting the production art of it is really tempting me to make a significant investment.

That's Dashe for you; share a link and get $2000 within an hour. Hope Capcom's watching.

I wonder if this gets enough popularity...would they consider doing their own rendition of Zero? Kinda wishful thinking, but I can see it happening maybe. Oh hell yes. If the next April Fool's would get a Zero, it'll be another project waiting to happen. Same here; this is also practically Katoki's philosophy in his mecha redesigns. One popular example being: The funds breakdown shows that licensing is obviously paid, so if anything Capcom's legal/licensing department would be aware of this.

The funds breakdown shows that licensing is obviously paid, so if anything Capcom's legal/licensing department would be aware of this. Right, that much is obvious, but what isn't obvious is what their mindset is. They've yet to make or announce a significant game outside of Xover, unless I'm extremely out of the loop, and instead seem to enjoy simply giving out licensing of Megaman to Nintendo for Smash and Truforce Collectibles for action figures. It looks just the TINIEST bit sleasy. So I'll amend my statement to "I hope Capcom's paying attention." They have so much potential that they don't seem to know what to do with.

If Capcom payed attention to kiclstarters they would have begged Inafune to come back by now. :-p Or ask just what the heck have the supposed "Top Men" been doing for the last couple years.. In any case, I'll wait until thursday to put in a backing for some swag- if I can get in some extra work hours, it'll make the backing this figure a bit more painless. *Update* I did get in a couple more hours, as planned, and I"m considering opening commissions formally on DA (at present, I've only one customer- steady business, though ) , so I decided I'll get the figure, the shirt, and the print. The figure itself will retail for $80, so a small chunk more for the other two doesn't sound too bad.

Thats great news Raven!
I was thinking guys. If you could have a statue of this quality but of something Legends related what would you want?
I'm tempted to say Teisel or Roll but I think I would have to go with Karamuna Bash. Or maybe Hanmaru Doll. Or canaam...

Volnutt or Annihilator Juno would probably work the best with the lights and metal parts. Bruno would be cool too. Really, any Reaverbot would look good, it's more a matter of which Reaverbot would sell the best.

Oh yeah stage 2 Juno would be great! Thinking about It you are totally right about basically every reaver being a good candidate. Even a Zakobon would come out looking pretty sweet. Although im still pulling for Canaam. If it had a heavy duty suction cup and you could hang it upside it would be wonderful.
Feldynaut would be pretty neat but I would want it to be posable. If only these high quality statues were more like action figures. If I ever win the lottery im going to commission a huge series of legends action figures and a Kattelox play set.

My vote goes to the Gustaff. You could get a lot of variety with it if they came with all the interchangeable parts from the game. Heck, a guns akimbo Gustaf tank would put D-Arts Vile to shame.

Riverboats, huh? My money is on (and would definitely go towards) a Rimblemenji figure! That's the sorta originality that deserves to be Kickstarted!
