Ugh, y'know, the first part of my post was an obvious joke, you know I wouldn't be serious about spitefully buying something for someone. I can respect Dashe's tastes and wishes well enough, even though I personally don't fully comprehend such positions as to only like one game franchise. Ultimately what you're doing, Dashe, is a better thing that just going out and buying games to buy and own games. I honestly apologize if I came off like I was attacking you.

Ultimately what you're doing, Dashe, is a better thing that just going out and buying games to buy and own games. I honestly apologize if I came off like I was attacking you. It's all good. If I thought I were being genuinely attacked, I'd have sent a PM, and if you were genuinely attacking me you'd have probably thought to do it years ago. My first response was serious though. If I had a New 3DS mysteriously show up at my doorstep one day I would totally seal that up in a safe like a mini IRA and let it gather interest, and double that for any promotional editions. A promo N3DS new in box forty years from now would probably be able to finance a decent bike. It's definitely pretty hard to spitefully buy the best-selling anything since the resale value is usually high. I digress in the name of staying on topic. Either I failed to note Aiyumi's sarcasm or I successfully noted an accidental misuse of the word "enraged." I don't know her well enough to tell which yet.* You, however, have been here long enough to know what rage really looks like on me. Carry on with New 3DS talk. *Cue Aiyumi shouting, "I'm right here, you know!"

Yeah, the whole exclusive games debacle irks me, too. You didn't have that issue with the PSP Phat and PSP Slim. Slightly better hardware for the Slim, but it didn't affect the games. Besides, my 3DS XL is a limited edition model. I'm not trading that in for a discount, Nintendo! Remember the N64 Expansion Pak? Shame such a thing couldn't be done with handhelds.

Dashe: when I read that you'd lock the thing in a safe if you got it as a gift, I didn't understand the reason and began wondering if you had something very very strong against the 3DS, to the point of not wanting anything to do with it, and wanting it out of your sight for 30+ years! Now I know that it isn't the case, after your explanation, and after reading that you even convinced your friend to get Azure Striker Gunvolt. Let's consider this case closed. Sorry for the confusion. Back on topic.
I never had a problem with my 3DS's battery life btw. I don't know why so many people gripped about it. My DS Lite can run for nearly 7 hours without recharging, with brightness at 2 or 3 (I don't remember which one now) and sound volume almost maxed. My 3DS lasts 6 hours at most when playing DS games, and only around 4 when playing 3DS games. That's also with brightness at 2 or 3, 3D and wireless turned off, and sound volume turned down. Does anyone have any information on the new 3DS's longer battery life?
