Again, listening to your dramas remind me of JLPT exams. Overall, the voicing sounds improved from your last one, especially since you had to voice a similar-sounding cast this time around. I have had the idea of Trigger being a more mature version of the Rock we're familiar with, so hearing him being the energetic character of the drama was an interesting experience. Some of the sections emotes well, but felt a bit hard to follow on occasion especially with Master losing his patience in several instances (voice felt a little flat; even if I think Master is intended to be stoic). I definitely caught the shout out to RMD2 about the music track sounding like 'something from a video game'. Good times.

Yes! I finally get to talk about the audio drama! Again, listening to your dramas remind me of JLPT exams. Is that supposed to be good or bad? (*imagines a bunch of foreigners taking Japanese conversation tests, speaking forced and performing very badly*) I've never taken one of those, so I have no idea. Jiji/Geetz gave me a lot of trouble because of his politeness. It's a politeness level that I'm not used to, so I probably messed up a lot there. Overall, the voicing sounds improved from your last one, especially since you had to voice a similar-sounding cast this time around. The bigger the cast is, the more confusing it gets. With three men, and Sera being the only woman in the group, it was hard to make everyone unique. I have had the idea of Trigger being a more mature version of the Rock we're familiar with, so hearing him being the energetic character of the drama was an interesting experience. I imagine the canon Trigger being more mature too. But for my story, I decided to go with something different... In my fic, Rock actually manages to be more mature than Trigger. I'm glad that I was able to transmit Trigger's cheerfulness! Some of the sections emotes well, but felt a bit hard to follow on occasion especially with Master losing his patience in several instances (voice felt a little flat; even if I think Master is intended to be stoic). The Master was hard to do. I did many retakes and struggled a lot with the volume of his voice files... He was the hardest to differentiate from the others. In the end, I couldn't get him to sound that much different. At least Trigger makes up for it . I definitely caught the shout out to RMD2 about the music track sounding like 'something from a video game'. Good times. Nice! Thank you very much for listening!
Back to that Japanese voice actor talk. If I could choose Japanese VAs, I'd leave the original Master as is, but for my story, I think I'd go with Katsuyuki Konishi. I'm still unsure about Trigger. As for the others, I'd keep the originals. I think Sera's original is very cute rather than cold and serious... That's probably why I cant resist torturing Sera by putting her in frilly pink dresses and stuff . And I can't imagine Jiji not having Shin'ichiro Miki's voice.

The style of speech sounded like it was addressing the listener (though much less so than actual JLPT examinations), though perhaps it was the chime at the beginning that got me thinking that. Thankfully, Jiji's politeness was not very jarring, considering he was a bit more of a 'background' character compared to Juno's overbearing polite and fabulous speech. Unless you count Trigger, who you gave a cheerful child-like voice to. Though I admit I got confused between Trigger and Sera at times. Which brings the question: Is Trigger supposed to be portrayed as having a laid-back energetic personality when off-duty which doesn't match his physical 'mature' appearance, or is he completely identical to Rock as we've seen in the games? I remember Master having a particularly defined voice (being voiced by Koyasu's deeper voice definitely helped), so I can see why. I always enjoy these subtle hints and shout outs, even in my own works. ... at least the first vocal tone that comes to mind is Konishi's debut role as the stoic robot ninja Volfogg from GaoGaiGar; a massive contrast to a certain hyperactive character role he is currently known for in the West. For your take on Trigger, I still think Romi Park would be fitting (same as my idea for Rock in RMDL) because of her ability to go from serious male voice to hyperactive young kids' voice in a few split seconds (just call her character 'short'). Sera I imagine can be voiced well by the late Sayuri, who did an excellent job voicing stoic creepy young kids (again) in GaoGaiGar FINAL (OVA). Indeed. Miki cannot be replaced, enough said!

Sera's narration addresses the listener. The chime? ... Hahahahaha XD. The first option. ... at least the first vocal tone that comes to mind is Konishi's debut role as the stoic robot ninja Volfogg from GaoGaiGar; a massive contrast to a certain hyperactive character role he is currently known for in the West. I thought of Sakaki from .hack//G.U.. I keep imagining the Master with that voice saying "Trigger Kun..." For your take on Trigger, I still think Romi Park would be fitting (same as my idea for Rock in RMDL) because of her ability to go from serious male voice to hyperactive young kids' voice in a few split seconds (just call her character 'short'). Actually, I imagined him having a young adult male voice (as opposed to a childlike voice), which would be about the only thing matching his more "mature" physical appearance (and clearly, my voice doesn't reach there ). No VAs come to mind at the moment...

Update: chapter 5! www.fanfiction.net/s/10564022/5Again, a long chapter. Sometimes it's necessary to have a chapter that's mostly setup. I'll bet you 100 zenny that their day trip destination turns out to be Kattelox. Not really Kattelox (it's a bit too far on the map, isn't it?) but it gets special mentions.

Perhaps it's time for another face to appear in this thread, no? I've actually been following your work since the beginning, Aiyumi. Dunno why I never posted about it, but hey, better late than never. For starters, your grasp of the English language is pretty spectacular for a non-native speaker. Most people tend to find the written language tougher than that whole oral/aural bonanza. Secondly, your characterization of the MML cast, like Dashe mentioned, is a unique breath of fresh air. I'm well-aware that there isn't too much "personality" to the Elysium dwellers. Regardless, it great to see you're not afraid to deviate from the norm! Can't really comment on the radio drama aspect, since I barely understand Japanese. Blerg! I'm really gushing about all this stuff, aren't I? Okay, okay, I'll shut up now. You've got something special going here, Aiyumi. We're looking forward to your continued work.

*Forks over 100 zenny* Geez, I have to follow Kyle's feelings? Crap. I scored 16% in feelings. I was just gonna say, "Awesome, you brought back the coffee!"
Your take on Juno was pretty awesome too. Unauthorized modification, indeed. Plus, considering pirates to be Irregular Carbons was pretty cool too. Trigger would probably rank high in the feelings department if he were ever tested.

Dunno why I never posted about it, but hey, better late than never. Wow! A reader coming out of the shadows! For starters, your grasp of the English language is pretty spectacular for a non-native speaker. Most people tend to find the written language tougher than that whole oral/aural bonanza. I try. I hope to be improving after Dashe's pointers, but I don't know... Secondly, your characterization of the MML cast, like Dashe mentioned, is a unique breath of fresh air. I'm well-aware that there isn't too much "personality" to the Elysium dwellers. Regardless, it great to see you're not afraid to deviate from the norm! Nice to see that the characterization was well received! Can't really comment on the radio drama aspect, since I barely understand Japanese. Um... Maybe you could enjoy the background music and sound effects or something? Blerg! I'm really gushing about all this stuff, aren't I? Okay, okay, I'll shut up now. You've got something special going here, Aiyumi. We're looking forward to your continued work. Thank you so much for your feedback! From the numbers on Fan Fiction's stats page, I believe that a few people are reading the story. But almost no one says anything, so any feedback I get is worth double! I was just gonna say, "Awesome, you brought back the coffee!" It was too good an opportunity to let it pass. But this time it isn't instant coffee. Different things for the Units to try. Your take on Juno was pretty awesome too. Unauthorized modification, indeed. I was wondering about what people would think about Juno. Even Geetz thought, "That description didn't sound like Juno at all!" Definitely a sign that he had gone Irregular...

Here you go, now you've got a depiction of ToC Trigger! Or something reasonably close, at least. I went with something resembling Battle Network because the art director for Legends 3 seemed to really want us to pick that codpiece-less armor in the polls, but it just ended up reminding Blues of Tron Legacy. Ah well. They never did tell any of us what Trigger or his armor originally looked like, after all.

That was fast! Thank you! I asked my mother to describe it for me. We like it! By the looks of it, he's surely going to enter caffeinated mode soon. When that happens, no one will be able to stop him (not even myself). I can already see him ignoring the rules about crossing fan fic universes and wreaking havoc everywhere.

Here's chapter 6, "The Reaverbots!" www.fanfiction.net/s/10564022/6Argh... FanFiction changed their WYSIWYG editor, and I (or rather, my screen reader) can no longer find the only two buttons I ever used: the one to preview, and the one to edit source code! I can edit the text externally and reupload (that's actually what I usually do), but not being able to preview isn't nice because the site sometimes does weird things. I hope nothing is wrong with the formatting.

Thanks for the shout-out! The formatting looks normal from here. You seem to have rationalized the Master System's appropriation of Reaverbots and ruins pretty well, too. I kept thinking that sulky middle girl in that one family with the baby was going to do something like run away and try to break into a car, or pull some absurd attention-grabbing stunt, though. Like find a hostile group of Reaverbots and take them all out with a stolen buster gun and save the town before Rock even gets a chance at it...and it's all for nothing! Even after getting her picture in the paper and becoming the town's most successful digger at an absurdly young age (because she is secretly adopted and another purifier unit), her parents still like her little brother best! ...Geez, I've really got to stop writing tragic NPC Mary Sue headcanons. I think I've had too much of the famous coffee.

Thanks for the shout-out! The formatting looks normal from here. You're welcome! Thank you for always taking your time to fix my grammar errors! It's nice to know that the formatting is okay, and that I can somehow get around the lack of those two buttons. Hmm, this sounds like my idea for alternate PSTC Aero.

Cool, they have a store with all of my favorite instruments! A lot of people in this fandom are guitar people, so it's always great to see the violin family getting some attention, even if it is just because the Master played it. Pianos are cool too. I've noticed that people getting into music either start with a guitar or a piano. I'd definitely pick the piano. Yuna scored some points with that. I've never been in a musical instrument shop but I have a feeling I'd probably get kicked out for trying to play everything and lacking any form for it whatsoever. Actually, I'm surprised nobody got themselves kicked out of the place. Teenagers and aliens and monkeys in a music shop sounds like a recipe for disaster! Yuna is pretty awesome in this, but I had to balk a little at going to Manda to buy Matilda a gift. That place was a real snoozefest. Matilda must be into little trinkets or something...or zetsabres! All those units looking around for a cure and cause for irregularity...being irregular doesn't need to be cured in the first place, does it? The Nutcracker Suite has been all but completely ruined for me thanks to Bob Rivers. Maybe that was the version Yuna was playing.
