Can you imagine what it'll be like once Teisel finishes Tron's book? "Hey Max! Max, did you read it yet?! You said you'd read it! Why is it taking so long!?!?! There had BETTER not be food on it when I get it back..." Oddly enough, this has actually been finished since last April, but I'm really results-oriented. Meaning my biggest sense of accomplishment comes from reading the comments, even if the comments are actually terrible, so now I feel more accomplished because now people can comment on the whole thing. I'm not complaining about getting mostly nice ones, though! Now it's your turn to finish a long project! ToC needs some attention! Get to work!

Don't you worry Dashe, i'll be working on a little essay for you once I reread the story. I've determined that it's not quite an allegory though. It's highly symbolic and better off without being an allegory. If it was like every little thing would have to be telling 2 stories. It'd end up being clunky and weird.

Heh. Symbolism's funny too. This is going to be absolutely fabulously unintentionally hilarious.

I'm not complaining about getting mostly nice ones, though! Hmm, so you had the whole story ready before you even started posting it! I agree that the real accomplishment comes only after everything is published. From a reader's point of view, I'm one of the people that usually don't comment much, because more often than not, it's hard to come up with something more interesting to say than "I like it," and if I only say that, it feels like it's just for the sake of saying it and it completely fails to convey what I really meant. it's hard to find the right words to express what feelings the story evoked on me and explain what exactly I like about it, and that usually results in me staying quiet. But from a writer's point of view, I guess getting some terrible comments is better than getting no comments at all. Now it's your turn to finish a long project! ToC needs some attention! Get to work! Aye-aye, Miss Dashe! (*scurries off to the ToC thread*)

I never would have pegged you for someone who doesn't comment much. Your comment rate's been the most consistent out of anyone since you started reading it and I really looked forward to that! Then Tahj from 100k on Facebook is probably second, and Loken's third. Commenting with "I liked (thing that happened in the chapter) because it was adjective" is fine. I wish more people would do it and I try to say stuff about people's work when I'm familiar with the source material. The part about citing a specific thing is really what makes a review awesome, even if it's something they didn't like, because that actually tells the person who did the work that the reader actually read it or watched it or whatever kind of work it is.
And dammit, when do I get to get that gender neutral title I keep asking for? >_< Captain's a high rank, right? Can I be Captain Dashe? That rolls off the tongue fairly easily.

Really? Great to hear... Read...? Well, PSTC was an exception. It managed to inspire me to write comments a lot of times. This doesn't usually happen. And dammit, when do I get to get that gender neutral title I keep asking for? Huh? I guess I haven't been here long enough to know that... I was looking for a title from Legends, but it looks like there aren't gender neutral ones.

If you're ever not sure how to write a review, all you really need to do is write one sentence and mention something that existed in the story and the author will usually think you read it even if you haven't. That's probably how I got through high school English papers. But I'm glad PSTC was good enough that you didn't have to resort to my patented cheating formula!
I like to think that Mega Man Legends just didn't get enough sequels to really have a character use gender neutral titles. Inspector's a gender neutral title! Maybe that would work if Loken doesn't mind. He's a big fan, to the point where the Kattelox Inspector's always in his avatar. Legends 3 could have had a captain in it. Actually, MoTB DID have a captain, from the Ryship police force!

I've got to say I was a bit disappointed that Mayor Klatt was not joined by Vice Mayor Bakerly, who I imagine would do the interrogation.
On a more serious note I'm surprised that Roll didn't inquire further into the whole Rock situation. I really liked how Data was almost an accessory to genocide, but then freaked out about dropping the cactus.
Finally I appreciate the golf cart picture and the group picture. We get some rare Father Bonne fanart there along with a real boy Bon, and an MMLSer illustration. The group picture is great mostly because of the copious chest hair.

I've got to say I was a bit disappointed that Mayor Klatt was not joined by Vice Mayor Bakerly, who I imagine would do the interrogation. He's going stealth. Teisel can't know he's anything but a baker! Roll got pretty shaken up when she thought she killed Data and Teisel. The chest hair and general pantslessness Teisel was rocking in that situation didn't really help her much in the focus department and throughout the whole conversation she was probably just thinking about how she's going to have to burn that towel if she ever gets it back. I was a little worried the amount of chest hair was going to be inadequate since you seem to favor levels that can only be described as "sasquatch-esque" but it's nice to hear that it meets your standards.

Actually, MoTB DID have a captain, from the Ryship police force! Ah! I completely forgot about the Ryship police! I'm looking into MoTB, recently finished watching a Japanese version playthrough from the newly (re)released PSN version, and I'm reading Estil's script again. MoTB is supposed to be fresh in my mind (it'll be very useful for my RP role as Tron!) but the police completely slipped my mind. Back to PSTC related comments, I had thought they would meet Barrett again after all those years. I'm not disappointed that they didn't, though, because I didn't even like him much to begin with (I'd have preferred if Legends 3 (or at least the prologue) had Roll and Tron as protagonists trying to get resources to build the rocket, instead of a new cast of characters).

During development I was willing to give Barrett the benefit of the doubt just for the sake of having another game. I mean, for all we know he might have turned out cool and it's not like anyone short of Capcom's famous Top Men could have stopped him from existing. But since there isn't a game, in my headcanon he is this obnoxious show-off who's probably overcompensating for something that might have to do with being constantly upstaged by a teenage boy who's been dead for ten years. He travels around with his spotter and has a Class SS License and he has no intention of reconnecting with the Bright Bats at all.

I may as well speak up to say that I'm reading the story myself; and as of this point, I've passed the halfway point for sure. Although, that's just chapterwise. If the majority of the rest of the chapters end up being as long as chapter 18, maybe I'm not even at the halfway point yet! But one thing's for sure; it's nice reading through at my own leisure, and not having to wait for updates. Isn't it nice? I think it's nice. And no I'm not bumping this topic so it's easier to access. Well yes I am. It's not on the first page of most recent topics anymore, and it's well below on recent posts, so yes. Pretty amazing writing, for what it's worth. Although, I'm giving Dashe a bigger scope via pm session right now. Bump's in order regardless though. Bump bump bump.

Hey Mikey when you finish the story why dont you make a bog post about it so we know what you think of it? I still have too finish my review too. Ive got maybe ten or so chapters I havnt commented on in depth yet, and then I should probably reread some of the first chapters.

I typically find short and sweet responses to be better, but I suppose Dashe is into big reviews as shown earlier in the thread. I did give a bit more depth via pm per chapter, expressing my thoughts as a first reader. I typically find that to be more fun than reviews. Unfortunately, now that snow week appears to be over, and it takes me thrice as long to write reviews as it takes to read content for the first time, a blown-out review will probably be held off until the summer, if not altogether. I'm just glad to be in the boat now.
