Oh hi, Mark. If you've seen The Room, and I know a lot of us have PLENTY to say about that movie, you might be interested in picking up Greg Sestero's book, The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, The Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made, next month. It's exactly what it says on the tin. If you're broke, I'm sure libraries worldwide take requests. Most librarians I've met tend to just be glad people these days still read at all. The intro's here. I'm definitely going to pick this one up to add to my epic Hollywood nonfiction addiction.

...Sounds too good to be true. I was convinced that The Room permanently cursed its acting staff with suckage for all eternity, yet these reviewers love it. Then again, can you really trust anyone?

Alright, so I got this thing and read it cover to cover before handing it off to Mr. Ninja for Christmas. Turns out, at least according to the book, that The Room wasn't actually a product of drugs, and Tommy Wiseau is just legitimately insane. It contains what Tommy told Greg his past entailed, with a disclaimer that pretty much everything Tommy ever said to him should be taken with more than just a grain of salt.
There is a passage near the end where Greg talks about that scene at the end of the movie where Tommy reacquaints himself with Lisa's red dress, and it was probably the funniest thing in the whole book. If anything, this should be a guide for how not to make a movie.

Please forgive me if this is a necropost, but such a book exists!? I absolutely must track this down. Mocking The Room is a centerpiece in my internal humor. It'll never get old for me. ( ・ิω・)ノ ิ

It's fine. Riffing on The Room DEFINITELY never gets old. You can find the book pretty much anywhere nowadays, and there's even going to be a movie adaptation! From what I understand it sold pretty well all things considered.

Who would have thought that Legends Station would be the secret hideaway for The Room fans? Haha.

I don't even think we expected it.
Most of us even played through the main part of the game version found on New Grounds.
I think Dashe found the most spoons though.
