^Which is why I never subscribed to that whole "In his games he only shoots so why should he punch herrre?" excuse. I have absolutely no problem with Mega Man brawling fist-to-fist with the rest of them. I mean, this style is fine, too, but I'd have no problem with having to press "Special" or "down-forward-punch" to fire a mega buster shot. It's been a long time since I've played the original, and that's the only one I've played, but it doesn't seem like any of the characters really play the way they do in their games. BTW, does DK throw barrels in any of the smash bros. games? Is his down+attack a somersault? Does Mario simply have to jump on his opponents to damage them? Where is Fox's plane? Do Pikachu, Ness, and Pokemon Trainer have move selection menus? Can you control Wii Fit Trainer with a balance board/wii-mote gesturing? That'd be pretty cool... Super Smash Bros. is supposed to be a pick-up and play type of game. A Down-Forward-Punch Move isn't suitable for the series. And about that second paragraph... 1) Barrel Item (And a barrel that shoots you in some stages) 2) DK's Down+B attack is his Hand Slap move from the DKC games. (While I am at that, Diddy's Dash Attack is his Cartwheel Move.) 3) Fox's Airwing is in some levels as Easter Eggs. They even fire lasers, you can jump on them and the characters in them may talk at time. He also has his Landmaster as his Final Smash. 4) The Pokémon Trainer's Final Smash shows a Menu. Also, his Down+B moves allows you to change your Pokémon at will. 5) We still don't know yet... --- EDIT: Forgot to add stuff about Mario. He has an uppercut that resembles his jump, and it takes coins to boot. You can wall jump since Melee and bounce on top of a character by mere jumping since Brawl, but the bounce can be done by every character and the wall jump can be done by a lot of them. List of characters that can Wall Jump: super-smash-bros.wikia.com/wiki/Wall_jump

Yeah, the down-forward-punch was just an example, haha. I think you got my point, though. In case you didn't, I was simply saying that I wouldn't mind a crossover non-Mega Man game with a Mega Man who's move-set adhered to the established mechanics of the game. I'm fine with either style, and at least you don't have to pause the game to use different weapons . I'm just glad Mega Man can actually DUCK now, haha. Thanks, Sir Adrian. That was truly an honest-to-goodness non-assuming honest collection of questions and I thank you for not snarking at me, haha. The Pokemon Trainer thing sounds awesome, though I feel like listing final smash attacks is kind of cheating. I figured the barrel would be an item, and I'd forgotten about the ground slap. Everybody else's games play the melee thing pretty straight aside from those already mentioned (Samus). Mario has all those fightin' moves from SM64, but what's the deal with the coin uppercut? Still, Fox and Captain Falcon are pretty big elephants when it comes to adhering to the play-style of their respective games. But I guess they get a pass since they're pretty much an open slate. I heard that the man in charge is altering the adventure mode because stuff was leaked to the internet. :\ That is so lame.

I'm not sure if there is another thread discussing this somewhere but this is big big news! In a thread I once told a story of how I asked alot of ten YO's at a birthday party if they liked Megaman and none of them knew who he was. This is the answer to that (in that thread I think I even suggested putting him in SSB's) assuming the game is a success (most likely) the children of the whole will once again know the blue bomber! Thus our fanbase won't wither and die! His appearance in Smash Bros will most likely lead to a new Megaman game.
Perhaps even bigger news for us is that while he is standing on that hill he isn't wearing his helmet and his hair is in the Legends style. I think, and I know I'm setting myself up for disappointment here, that is a direct reference to the Legends games put there on purpose. Maybe it's a kind gesture or maybe they actually have something planned for us.

-What will there alt colors/skins be? This actually made me realize something: Megaman's suit doesn't change colour when he uses his various weapons. Maybe it's because of the alt costume thing.....Mario's clothes don't change colour when he shoots fireballs, either. Hmmmm...Anyway, I'm assuming Megaman's alt costumes will be the colours that his weapons would correspond to--red, green, yellow, etc. I've also been contemplating what his Final Smash will be like. Hope it's not another projectile attack. Would be awesome if he summoned Mecha Dragon, but I guess that wouldn't make sense canonically. I'd bet on something involving Rush.... Assuming it isn't just a projectile attack... it probably will be.

A Volnutt skin would be pretty amazing.

A Volnutt skin would be pretty amazing. You sure about that? They tried putting a Volnutt easter egg in Tron's ending for MvC3. People were more annoyed than pleased. And let's not forget Zero's Mega Man X reskin.

If it was just a un-helmeted version of Megaman I think it would be universally praised and give people some hope that maybe they will do something with him in the future. I think the MvC3 problem was that it seemed to be making fun of Volnutt's situation.

I think the MvC3 problem was that it seemed to be making fun of Volnutt's situation. But it really didn't. It was just Tron trying to coax a date out of him with Servbot #42's help.

I'd like to see him Get Equipped With Rush Adapter as his Final Smash, to be honest. A temporary increase in speed and agility, plus magnified strength for his weapons sounds like something workable. I'm kind of disappointed his up-B won't be something like the Wire Adapter, though; I really like the Wire Adapter.

This is MegaMan's Final Smash in SSB4! Look at these models! These are amazing! I also love how Volnutt is about to do the splits there. XD

GET HYPE just isn't enough to describe this All Star final attack. Given their wirk on GvG series, it's very Bandai Namco.

I'm by no means a fan of fighting games, even Smash Bros, but I do like the fact that a good 95% of characters who show up in that franchise get either games or revivals following their appearance.
