Hearing this makes me happy to know that I used my real name when I signed up to Facebook.

GetMeOffTheMoon is a Page run by (hopefully) a real person, not a fake person/group mixed thingie. Basically, it won't be deleted by Facebook. However, if you mean about fake accounts that have liked GetMeOffTheMoon... Sure, their deletion would decrease the likes a bit. However, their deletion would also show the world (And to those fanboys who care enough, to Capcom) the true amount of people that seriously want Legends 3. I mean: C'mon! It's obvious to everyone (Even to Capcom) that there are fake likes on that group!

I mean: C'mon! It's obvious to everyone (Even to Capcom) that there are fake likes on that group! From my impression (EDIT: which could be wrong, since I don't frequent those circles), there's some denial (EDIT: in GMOTM's active populace) of the possibility that a sizable amount of the likes at GMOTM are of fake identities, junk accounts and other non-people. With only a ~8,000 like leeway right now, I think it would be a very harsh reality if Facebook stepped up, found a way to identify said "unwanted accounts" with any reasonable accuracy, removed them, and have the group's numbers crash below 100,000 again. After all, there's been a lot of chest beating on how awesome and powerful they are simply because they have 100,000 likes. I think the more telling number is how many people have servbot numbers, simply because there's more involvement than simply hitting [Like]. Last time I heard, it's somewhere between 15,000 and 20,000, but even then, there's surely fakes amongst them, too, since there's more than enough obsessive people in the community willing to sign up multiple times if they think it'll help them get what they want.
Seems like it'd be better for Facebook to focus on the spammers, scammers, and bots, instead of those accounts that were made for pets or fictional characters. They'd actually be improving the service for everyone instead of ruining what could be seen as harmless fun.

The Servbot number thing's been out of commission for a few months now. I'd say the best way to tell would be to look up Devroom members. Ultimately, though, yeah. It'd be best if Facebook just focused on spam and bot accounts instead of trying to fish out every dupe account. The regular, non-spammy dupes usually aren't doing anything malicious (unless they've already been banned for things like harassing or threatening other people through FB, then there's an issue).

FYI, I was mainly referring to the few real people with fake Megaman Legends names.

And what if I name my child Mega Man Volnutt? How would Facebook know that it is a fake name? They have ways of finding out. Oh... they have ways... :14:

While I'm glad I used my real name for this, I find myself not posting on the page all that much because I like keeping real life and online things separate. This is where I wish I could be Bean (or a nickname that includes it) to just be active, but I don't want to screw up the counter either.
