I was looking at the article of the Megaman Battle Network series, and I saw THIS!.....: "The team that worked on the Battle Network series was the same team that did the Legends games (Capcom Production Studio 2)." I may have been completely ignorant of such a fact, but this is the first time I've been told of this! But, think about it for a second: The Battle Network Games..... The very games that are keeping us from another Legends game and the very games that are also the pet peeves of most of the members on these forums. These games are from the same family tree as the legends series. Now, bear in mind that I read this on Wikipedia and that it's not 100% reliable. But still, if this is true, think about everything we've missed out on. Instead of dealing with the countless slop that is the battle network series, we might have had a new legends game. (Sigh), I'm just wondering if and I mean IF this battle network series ever ends, that Capcom might find, buried beneath the piles and piles of papers and documents of Megaman battle network ideas, the plans for a Legends 3 That was my rant for the day, sorry if anything like this has already been said, I might have spent an entire thread on topic of conversation that could've lasted one post.

Stallmaster just come here. *slaps him over the head. I'm sorry, I had to do it. Yes, CPS2 creates the battle network series along with every bodies favorite the legends series. I'll pm you all the games that they have made as soon as I find the list again. www.gamespy.com/company/568/568094.html there's the list. I also PMed you the list for future reference.

Yes, I'm somewhat amazed you didn't know. It's mentioned about a billion times on the boards.. o.o
Either way, yes. And this is a big part of the reason anyone with sense on these boards is furious about the New EXE series. It's done by the same team, which bascially means they won't be making a Legends 3 until after the new series dies down. Could be as many as six more years, if not more, though hopefully less. Twice as long as we've waited already.
EXE supposedly was over. Six had an actual ending that actually said "The End" and ended the story. It could've been continued, anyway, sure, but a new EXE series was quite literally the worst thing that could have happened for a Legends fan. Plus, this game is for MegaMan's 20th Anniversary, which totally overshadows DASH's 10th, which basically means the next Anniversary year it would be likely to hope for would be in five years.. >_<

May I say a thought?
You guys blame this on the games. Consider this: Maybe the team that worked on Legends lost intrest. Maybe Legends didn't sell so well. Either that, or you guys are jealous. Just, try not to bash things that could be totaly irrelevent, ok? Don't want to sound like n00bs. I'm not saying that you do, I'm just saying be careful.

I don't think CPS 2 lost interest at all. They have the little cameos in Battle Network form legends.
Also Inticreates (Zero team) tried to make a Dash 3 and offered to make it but Keiji turned them down.

DASH Team IS the Battle Network team. Thus, when Battle Network is being made, DASH isn't, and thus Battle Network is the reason DASH isn't being made. That, and a good number of us have actually played the games. I have, and in my personal opinion Legends > Anything Battle Network has to offer. Considering that Battle Network is the reason DASH/Legends isn't being made, and the games don't do much for me, I think I have every right to bash the series as much as I feel like, as do any other individuals like myself. It's not irrelevant, that's my point. I can see what you mean, but sorry it just isn't true. We've been waiting for a Legends 3 for six years. EXE has for the most part, actually pretty much has had a new installment in each one of those six years, plus ridiculous amounts of off-shoot games, and other products. DASH has three games, re-released a million times over but never followed up, and a ridiculously rare line of merchandise. You, ma'am, have no right to tell us not to be angry.

Ah, but you missed my point also. But my main point is I'd appriciate it if you didn't bash it all the time to the point it lost meaning, as some of us, even if I am the only one, like the series. Oh yeah, and there is one things EXE doesn't have that Legends does...
Crappy camera angels XD (I'm not attacking Legends. Inside joke.)

Wow.... I must be so out of touch with today's Megaman society, I was probably the last member in the entire forum community that knew about this.
Anywho, about this whole legends vs ExE war...... I'm not for or against ExE, I haven't really played it fully, I only remember playing a bit at my friends house when I was younger. Since then, it hasn't really interested me. So I can't really take a position on this, except that I find that the Battle Network series in my opinion has spewed out a ridiculous amount of sequels and the company has wasted precious time and money that could be spent on making a new DASH game.
I'm just saying is all.....

*laughs* Don't worry SM. You weren't the only one who didn't know! XD Now that I know this, I hope new Dash games (if created) are developed by another team. I don't like most of the "new" games on their list! ^^; I guess they ran out of steam... Off topic: I also just noticed that Shu (and her brothers) is in the Battle Network series. ^^; www.ciel-network.com/Gallery/displayimage.php?album=1&pos=73Of course, this team hasn't forgotten their past and may still want to make a Dash game, but it's not really their place to do so. They make what the boss/leader/creator wants. But then again... There could be a Mr Driller story here... (For those who don't know, the original Mr Driller game was created by the DigDug team just for fun and wasn't really going to be released to sell.) Just maybe, the team does have something in the works but isn't official work.

Yeah, Shuuko was a blue haired version of Shu. Poor girl has a depression problem, I wouldn't blame her, being from a series Capcom doesn't care enough about to throw its fans a fricking bone.
There are several other Legends cameos in Battle Network, which I hope goes to show that they haven't forgotten about it. In Battle Network six they borrowed an entire scene, sort of. In the beginning you have to save a girl from a dog. xD

Hmmm...
I'm just thinking here, but, why can't they work on DASH 3? Is the entire team only allowed to work on new .EXE games? They can't take a break from making .EXE at all?

Look at all that's been done for EXE in the past six years. They don't take EXE lightly. The chances of them setting it aside for Legends are slim and none. We're screwed.

I just don't feel that a decade of waiting is enough to crush all of my hope... Sure I'm disappointed, but I still feel that they'll pull through.. I mean come on, there was a 16 year gap between the release of Star Wars Episode VI, and the start of production for Episode I.

Just maybe, the team does have something in the works but isn't official work. I seriously doubt that. Games are expensive to make. They are not going to spend a lot of money on a game they will never release. Also if Keiji wants to be involved with the making of Dash 3, I don't see how he would find the time. Right now Keiji along with Capcom production studio 1 are working on Dead Rising and Lost Plant. How in the world would he be involved with it with these two games on his hands.

I mean come on, there was a 16 year gap between the release of Star Wars Episode VI, and the start of production for Episode I. Yes, but Star Wars started with the ending and ended with the beginning. XD It actually had an ending. The two trilogies can be enjoyed separately of each other. Like Ender's Game. The book itself makes the points and tells the story it sets out to tell, but Ender's Shadow tells the things that went on in the background, that you didn't necessarily need to know to appreciate Ender's Game. MegaMan Trigger is stuck in space. He's been there for six years. That and many other, very much needing to be known things have been left out by Capcom, and it's not fair. Not fair at all. I know I'm rather pessimistic about the whole thing. But not only does New EXE deny us any new Legends games for a good long time, but the concept of new EXE sucks. Flat out. Even EXE fans don't seem to happy about it.
