Thanks for your interest and entries so far, everyone! We don't want to specifically comment on anyone's work while the Event is underway, but we couldn't help noticing that some people seem to be more focused on trying to create history for the islands rather than actual landmarks. As cool as that is, it's not what we're looking for. Just wanted to point that out. Hoping to see lots more entries, and remember to think big and ancient!

These are my two entries for the contest. Tree covered sub gate The roots of the tree cover the door. Why not cut the roots away? Main gate This time there is double security. A force field is created by the four pillars and the door is sealed. You need to unlock both.

I present to you The Ancient Ruin! draggeclo46.deviantart.com/#/d53ct7aThis ruined building seems to be leftover from long ago. The structure is littered with numerous pillars. Cracks have started to form in a few spots but the overall structure is still in tact. The first things anyone notices are the Reaverbot styled eyes located on the ramps and the one on the towering monolith in the center. Rumors about this place spread among diggers and pirates alike. There is a single entrance to this abandoned place and few dare to enter it. Some claim that it holds the secrets to the reaverbots, others say the eyes are nothing more than coincidence. Many also say that those who enter have never been seen again. What is the mystery behind this ancient structure? *Note, isn't intended for plot purposes, but in my opinion its an interesting idea. draggeclo46.deviantart.com/#/d53ct40More images at my deviantart.

Oh my goodness. I wish I've been around more! I've been SO busy with work shenanigans that I've been (sadly) neglecting these forums! ;A; I MAY have some ideas in the back of my head- so I MAY be participating. :>
If you guys are doing a Bonne Mech design event, count me in! Glad to be posting again!:>

I'm not very good at drawing stuff, but I'll put my idea descriptions here:
Idea #1: Nosebleed Falls A stream dribbles out from beneath a pointy rock outcropping that resembles a nose. Lots of glowing Reaverbot-ish eyes decorate the wall and bottom of a pool below, giving off a red glow reminiscent of fresh blood.
Idea #2: Pillar of Jeng A tall, rectangular column of stone made of many smaller rectangular columns, with several of the smaller columns jutting out at odd angles, or even missing altogether. Inspired by the game "Jenga."

Something I slapped together over on iScribble the other night. I imagine it being kind of a makeshift docking site, partially relying on some ancient structure off the coast for support. Or maybe they just wanted easier access to the ancient structure in question. Looks something like a large building that was halfway through construction before someone decided to repurpose it as a docking station. Think exposed piping, support beams, and cheap metal sidings in terms of visuals. Perhaps toss some random ropes and wires in there as well. Maybe it was intended to be something grander, but circumstances prevented further development. Or maybe it WAS something grander, and has since fallen into disrepair. Or maybe it was just all the locals could afford. I feel eh about this one. I was halfway through before I realized the similarities to Nino Island. And I just dislike the sketch. Ah well.

Lookin' good, people! We're down to a week left on this Event so those of you out there who still intend to enter but haven't, don't let procrastination get the better of you!
I hear the first NeoDevroom event got around 230 entries. I was hoping to reach 50 with this. So far we're only at... 14.

I'm not sure that I'll be able to finish my idea and I don't consider a textual description to be decent, taking that into consideration, if I don't finish it, I'm not submitting it. You could always add an extra week for the subscription deadline.
Edit: It might be a good idea for me to write something, in case I actually don't make it.
At the Ending of MML2, Megaman, Yuna and Sera discuss things and there's a bit where Yuna says that the Elder System the master built is beginning to activate. There's a line that goes: "If the Elders and their machines activate..." which ignited a spark in me. Now, it might not be related but I'm thinking that in Reaverbot terms, there's somewhat of a pyramid of administration, echelons if you will. I believe that the Colossus is a 2nd Echelon weapon for the elders, that's why it was designed with a control room in its head. All other reaverbots function on self-awareness and artificial intelligence.
One of the things I started working on was the fallen body of the Colossus. After it's ascent from Ryship island it started walking and chasing the Gesellschaft. I was thinking maybe a headless colossus body fallen somewhere on the shore rocks, badly damaged, fallen in such way that you could see it from the side and not from the top, or perhaps a strong current brought him to the shores, and only the torso is visible.
Another idea would be something similar to the colossus in terms of function (2nd echelon reaverbot for the elders, something huge, but with the quad-golden refractor nowhere to be found.

For as far back as anybody can remember, on one of the Quint islands, the rusted wreckage of an airship has been embedded in a cliffside (or mountainside, depending on which island it'd end up on). It's been there for at least a few hundred years, give or take. This ship is not in any danger of exploding or falling out at all. It's just there, jutting what's left of its tail out into the open air like a party hat. The ship was once a brilliant blue with a mauve underbelly, but the weather's faded a lot of the color down and there might even be some overgrowth on it if the island's climate permits it. There's a conspicuous chunk of metal missing from the underside of the ship near the tail and only one of the engines is still attached. Nobody's ever been able to identify the ship's owner, but that's not surprising. Despite being visible when approaching the island, it's pretty far up and inaccessible under normal conditions. Extracting it would require special machinery and probably be very costly. On top of that, there just aren't that many people out there who'd be willing to admit they'd known somebody dumb enough to crash a ship into the middle of a cliff. Especially since there are plenty of less dangerous places it could have touched down nearby. In fact, hearing quips like, "Your mom crashed the airship into _____ Island!" is pretty common if you hang around schoolchildren enough. Nonetheless, it adds a touch of old-timey mystery to the island that surprisingly isn't connected to the Reaverbots, and tends to make for great photo ops if you can get a good angle. Perhaps that's the real reason the citizens never did much to remove the wreckage. Whether the pilot who drove that ship into the cliff was careless, drunk, or not actually in the airship, he or she gave the island one heck of a landmark.

Entry 2: The Buscan Straight Drop
The Buscan Straight Drop is a large, jagged trench ripping threw the rock of the island of Buscan. It snows around the area of the Drop year round however it instantly melts when it touches the ground. The Buscan Straight drop is so deep that no one knows how deep it is. If you were to drop a rock into it you would never hear it hit the ground. Expeditions have been sent to the bottom of the trench but as of late no one has made a safety rope long enough to get a man to the bottom. Children are advised to stay away from the Drop and may hazard signs are set up around it due to the accidental deaths of foolish travelers.

This is my entry, the ancient landing zone in Chizz island. Sorry for the sloppy drawing, I didn't have time to fill in the details as my free time is short, but please read this text in order to complement it better. Standing on what seems to be a massive sand dune lies this mysterious structure. Only the tip of it is visible as this massive complex has been almost swallowed by the desert. The ancients used this place as a temple of worship to the elder gods in an attempt to "appease" what the ancients saw as the god's wrath but that in reality was just one of the island's reinitialization protocols that, unlike Kattelox's complete reinialization system that would completely anhililate all living things on the island, the protocols used on Chizz included additional protocols that "trimmed" the population instead of completely anihilating it). Said ceremonies obviously failed their purpose, as the sacrifices people made in order to appease the gods were not frequent enhough for the system to consider the population count to be stable. In the present days, people have absolutely no idea of the temple's original purpose but it's still being used as a landing zone for incoming airships and the island's famous landmark. I didn't have time to do it, but that wall behing the spherical platforms should be filled with hieroglyphs depicting various scenes of the history of the ancients in Chizz island, and how they tried to appease the gods by offering ceremonial sacrifices and various illustrations of some never seen before reaverbots, maybe local reavers? Some parts of the wall have been eroded by time and the weather and thus have either fallen apart, or are intelligible. The design of the orange loopy thing is similar to the structure of the keys in mml2, and the symbol in the middle is supposed to be the symbol of the bureaucratic units in charge of the reinitialization protocols. Another, very important thing that i didn't have time to draw is that the place is not only used as landing zone, but it's also used as a marketplace. Being the prime source for tourism and main attraction of a desertic island, there are little stalls a la kimotoma all around the circumference of the superior plate. That spec of violet wearing a top hat over there at the stairs is tuttle.

Sketch for entry two. This one's intended specifically for Chizz. A long, snaking series of ruins (maybe akin to the subruins in MML1) that is now partially visible above the surface due to natural erosion. Dips in and out of the sand at various points. Some sections could be elevated into the air. Not necessarily active or fully interconnected. The idea was to make something more horizontally-oriented in order to take advantage of Chizz's (I assume) vast, open spaces. It's something that would probably look more impressive from the air than right up next to it on the ground. It was originally going to be the remains of an old railway, but I think this works better. Could maybe be broken open and explorable in some places. But that's another can of worms.
