The cane attack is implied from the guidelines in the Reaverbot Event, so we're getting that for sure. As for ranged attacks, that's still up in the air. I think it's a bit early to be thinking about Tuttle's special weapons, but who knows? There may end up being an event for that, although I can't swear to it. Tuttle may not be sticking special weapons directly onto his arm like what Megaman does, since I personally think it'd look disjointed with his outfit. I'm still curious how his special weapons will look, and the idea of a 'hat cannon' to replace the regular buster even floated up in iScribble. Sounds kinda silly, so it was mostly implied as a joke. However, if something like that happens to become part of the finished product, Tuttle might lose some of his class when he attacks, but at least he'd still look fabulous, right? I'm kinda akin to seeing an Oddjob tribute appearing as an optional weapon of sorts, allowing Tuttle to throw his hat at enemies to cause damage. But yeah. I have no clue what they've got planned for any of Tuttle's long-range attacks. Yeah, there totally needs to be a weapons contest. I just thought of too many ideas of Tuttle attacks

I personally feel that there should be a 'NES Dr. Jekyll Mode' for TLT! Make it so that Tuttle's cane is only effective during mandatory fights. It'd add replay value! ;D
Or, if you're feeling particularly sadistic, make it useless for the duration of the game. Unwinnable by design!

This is a little off topic, but I think it might be something to think about regarding TLT. Capcom's licencing a Mega Man fan game called Street Fighter X Mega Man and apparently using its reception as a way to gauge where to go next with Mega Man (source: www.rockman-corner.com/2012/12/capcom-will-watch-street-fighter-x-mega.html) This kinda ticks me off, considering Capcom's pretty much swimming in Classic Series data already, what with all the digital re-releases, MM9 and MM10, Classic merch, Soundtracks, comic books, etc. It got me thinkin', though: Do you think they'd be willing to do the same for Tuttle's Legendary Travels? And if they were, would fAB and Blyka be up for that? I'm getting the feeling that Capcom won't be putting much out to test the Legends waters on their own and if they'll licence a fan game for Classic, maybe they'll do the same for Legends? 'Course I don't even know what licencing a fan-game entails. Is it just putting a stamp of approval on a finished product, or does Capcom supply some sort of aid for the developers, like money, resources, or manpower? In any case, I thought I'd bring it up here, see what everyone else's takes on it is.

There's actually already a thread for most discussion regarding the crossover fangame. If any discussion's regarding the game by itself, it should be in that thread; but as far as TLT relevance goes, you make a good point. I'm not entirely sure what went on between Capcom and the fans that threw it together, but part of me kinda hopes that TLT doesn't come to that. If anything, I bet if Capcom sponsors it, they'd be looking to put a price tag on it purely for themselves, since 3D modeling & such high quality map rendering can take so much more work and is less prehistoric than 8-bit sprites. Even if TLT was originally going to have a price tag, I'd buy it. This is the highest devotion to a fangame I've ever seen thus far, and it's breathtakingly awesome. If you ask me, Capcom needs to reach the decision to contribute something substantial to Legends by themselves. I personally believe that they don't need any tie-ins with TLT besides the 14-year-old general concepts, and the 12-year-old main character, but that's just me.

Whether fAB and Blyka decide to go that route or not, I don't think the game's quite ready to show Capcom in any capacity. Demo 0.1 falls flat in the Legends charm department due to its early nature, and the charm's really the series' selling point. When it's done, though, I could see this game actually influencing them to take another look at the Legends series if it gets popular enough, considering it's starring one of the most obscure characters in the most obscure game in the series. If they can make that popular, then it'd be proof that Capcom really never tried hard enough with marketing Legends in the first place. I'd totally buy TLT if they were legally allowed to put a price tag on it too.

So by when can we expect the results of the event? Obviously it's going to take a while, but just to have an idea about it

I hope this isn't in bad taste. I did this a while ago, but I didn't want to post and have anyone think I was trying to curry favor for the reaverbot contest. But yeah, I'm (still) really excited about this game and all of the original characters and aaaa. I can't wait for new information about the Sturm Force. Also, this is probably a question better suited for elsewhere on the forum, but does anyone know the name of the lead artist for the Legends series? I've been looking into trying to emulate their style but all I have to work with is strictly finished Legends stuff.

Bad taste? No way, it looks pretty great!
I think Hideki Ishikawa was responsible for a lot of the Legends 1 concept art, but don't quote me on that. I'm also pretty sure there was a switch between 1 and 2.

All it takes is a lot of studying and practice! Look at the way Ishikawa draws and figure out what's different from the way you've been drawing things, if you want to get good at that particular style. Since you're already good in general, it's not like you're starting off from scratch or anything.
Actually, there's nothing wrong with copying his art directly, either, if it's just for training purposes and you don't try to republish it as your own work.

Like Dashe said, practice makes perfect! It's a well-known phrase for good reason. And don't get disheartened if your style doesn't match his exactly--in the end it's still your artwork and it's awesome.
I actually learned a great deal when I used to copy Ishikawa's work when I was younger. Then I tried out other styles, feeling lost and a bit dazed regarding where I wanted my own style to go. And then I eventually pulled bits and pieces from the various styles I worked with to create the style that I felt most comfortable with. It took a while, but I kept practicing and got it. Basically, practicing is a thing and it is awesome.
I'd suggest trying your hand at Ishikawa's style a few times a day in a sketchbook, even if they're small doodles. Anything helps.

A little late to the table here what with the holidays and all, but awesome work, Eris!
There's just something really gratifying about seeing fan art for a fan game that's not even finished yet.
