This game definitely looks promising from what I've seen. I also like the screenshots that you had posted as well. I really like how both Tuttle and Lily(?) look.
Looking forward to see how this progresses.

I need to start paying attention more to things here. I just now am listening to last week's podcast you all did. It's a shame the project is so early along in development, but good luck keeping it going strong.

Maybe it's just me, but I personally feel that this game is going to replace the several holes in my heart where Legends 3 used to be. o.o

I don't know if Tuttle can kick, but I think this game needs a few small animals running around anyway :2C:. Tuttle style is shadeless with shadows painted on, but I'm not that great at texturing .

I know tuttle was a character in the MOTB, but what are you doing for "attacks" will he have this capability? is he just gunna cane and kick stuff, and fight in melee kind of like Barrett did? i think itll be cool if you redisgned his cane to also be some sort of 'gun' per se.

For a number of reasons that we've discussed to varying extents in various places, we're going for a close range combat system with TLT. Since Mega Man fans are accustomed to doing a lot of shooting, we realize that may sound disappointing to some but we hope that what we have in mind will be well-received once people can try it out for themselves.

MML is more than a shooter, especially the second game. I fully believe you can capture the spirit of it without a buster gun. Looking forward to how you do it!

im not dissapointed at all, it jsut seems a little bizzare that he 'destoys' reaverbots with a cane. unless the game is heavily puzzle based i think it can be silly, im a still super digging (lul) the game, just curious. it seems like the most he would do would be to knock out the reaverbots (even temporarily) which can add challenges in itself to the game.

Cane combat is awesome. And very gratifying to do in real life if both canes are made of wood. I could see some very dramatic effects going on, but I'll reserve my judgment till some official combat animations are released.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to talk about event results (couldn't find anywhere else) but oh my gosh I came in third place! I can't believe I came that close! Even though I didn't win, I gotta say I'm feeling really smug about myself! Would it be all right if I could see what the revised design would've looked like? I'm curious as all heck and would love to see what my little Drakebots look like when drawn with a bit of talent.

We lock the Event threads once they conclude, so yeah, this thread works for anything that relates to TLT. You can also leave comments on the development blog of course, if you want to talk about something more specific. I hope I didn't give the impression that I thought your artwork sucked. Really, the image conveyed your Drakebot quite well, it was just the clunky nature of it that wasn't working for us. I don't mind sharing the alternative sketch, though I must stress it's nothing more than a quick take on how the design might be smoothed out and literally took all of 15 seconds to produce. Zaiy Mustn't forget there will be special weapons to spice things up a bit. Attachments:

i was playing/ beta testing the tabletop rpg i am making with my friends today and we have a reoccurring villain/pirate (blayt). as our story was developing we roleplayed that blayt ended up being the son of renown pirate, nodin, of the notorious sturmforce (they got the idea cause i was talking about yout game earlier in the day and i turned them on to your game). (even though i know little about the sturmforce or nodin, its just something silly we threw into todays game). either way, weird roleplay story aside, it gave me a re-imagining of nodin that i wanted to share with you guys. i do know that a couple people, including myself, related nodins appearance to teisels... so if you guys are redisigning anyone (even though his design seems pretty faithful to the first TLT game you made) i was hoping this will get the motors running.
