LEGENDS 3 WILL HAPPEN

I'm beginning to wonder if point 2 was a mistake. People are more familiar with Tuttle as he appeared in MOTB than he's supposed to look based on the official art. We never did tweak his features to perfection, so maybe the whole thing could use revisiting, perhaps aim for a middle ground between the art and the model... My brother and I have started making Legends figures and that's exactly how we look at it. A balance between the in-game and art. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZfZKUSyrkc&feature=plcp

Heya, guys! Excuse me if it appears that I'm abusing the guest system which you have enabled specifically for this project, but I thought you'd be interested to know that CapKobun, a well-known and respected Japanese Rockman fan famous for his blog and Twitter (he was also the designer of "The Donner Wels", the winner of the MML3 Devroom's Bonne Mecha Event), has recently responded to (and retweeted) a post I left with the GMOTM Twitter regarding TLT's first Japanese fan-event: The tweet basically says that, "The overseas fans are looking for Reaverbot fan-designs on their development site for a game they're producing called 'Tuttle's Legendary Travels'! Deadline is Monday, 12/10!" My Japanese isn't too good, so I may be a bit off, but I believe that's the basic gist of it. I'm really hoping you guys get a considerable number of Japanese fans on board this project! As seen from their Devroom submissions during MML3's development, they posses tremendous potential, and I believe their participation could result in great strides for this project! Anyways, that's about it for now. Keep up the good work, as always! P.S. Oh, right, we had another discussion about TLT in our latest GMOTM Echo Team Podcast. If you're interested to hear all the juicy gossip, Tim and I should have it out within the next week.

Wow that's great news Skybane! Hopefully CapKobun will make an entry himself! I can't help feeling such great optimism for this project! I'm practically giddy and I hate it.

I have high hopes that CapKobun will participate myself, actually, lol. At any rate, it wouldn't be out-of-the-ordinary for him to contribute to something like this, since he's always contributing to various Rockman fan-projects. Come to think of it, I recall he even made a couple "tribute" entries himself for our first NeoDevroom event (he couldn't submit any "official entries", unfortunately, since we didn't have a set of rules established for our Japanese supporters at the time ).

Hey Skybane, thanks for bringing that tweet to our attention! We'd really been hoping CapKobun would spread the word of the Event since he's pretty much the authority in the Rockman DASH world. Indeed, here's hoping the Japanese side of the Event will be a success!
And juicy gossip about TLT? When put that way it sounds as if you've uncovered some of the project's dirty secrets. Fortunately there are no dirty secrets, otherwise I'd be worried. XP
And score, that's an awesome video. I've always thought your models look incredible, but it's really something to see all the thought you put into them. I think you did succeed in striking the perfect balance between Megaman in-game and in the artwork. I definitely want to do the same with Tuttle now.

I always enjoyed his secondary weapon designs. He makes some good stuff, this indirectly reminds me of the overload of electric attack based devroom designs paha. I wish that Niklas from the reaverbot legends site would respond. Lol

Nah, but even if we did uncover any dirty secrets about your project, we'd be smarter than that; Tim or myself would have edited it out of the podcast before you got a chance to hear it. But anyway, no prob! Glad to help, as always!

So this interview is something that happened. :12: Personally I was pleasantly surprised by how thorough and well-researched the interview was, and the fact that TLT even got a nice big frontpage featuring on their site was cool as well. Do take a minute or so to give it a fair read. (And cheers to fab and Blyka on getting interviewed!)

Oh yeah, I gave it more than a fair read. There's not really much that I can add outside of the fact that I also kinda think [and am glad] that TLT's slowly filling the void left by the cancellation. Kinda bittersweet if you think about it, but things for TLT have nowhere to go but up; it'll only grow all the more sweet.

I don't know if this has been mentioned already. But will ledge grabbing be a thing for TLT? It doesn't seem to be there in the demo. I assume it'll be there seeing as how the actual Legends games had it, but just making sure here. I don't want to be missing any tough jumps.

I think there will be t, just because of the way he jumps he holds his hand out in front of him like he is grasping in a way. check it out in the demo and such and look at it. i wonder if he will have his own little movement gimmick as well. Kind of like how barrett can run up walls. Maybe his gimmick will just be that he cant swim =p

I predict it will be relatively difficult to code however, hence its absence from the first demo. Hopefully we'll be seeing it within a couple more releases.

I had a small idea when making my reavorbot for the contest . What about finding new canes along Tuttle's travels

Has it been mentioned how exactly Tuttle attacks? I imagine a cane attack would replace Rock's kick, but what about everything else? Would there be grenade launching canes, ninja star top hats, and other gentlemanly oriented attacks?

The cane attack is implied from the guidelines in the Reaverbot Event, so we're getting that for sure. As for ranged attacks, that's still up in the air. I think it's a bit early to be thinking about Tuttle's special weapons, but who knows? There may end up being an event for that, although I can't swear to it. Tuttle may not be sticking special weapons directly onto his arm like what Megaman does, since I personally think it'd look disjointed with his outfit. I'm still curious how his special weapons will look, and the idea of a 'hat cannon' to replace the regular buster even floated up in iScribble. Sounds kinda silly, so it was mostly implied as a joke. However, if something like that happens to become part of the finished product, Tuttle might lose some of his class when he attacks, but at least he'd still look fabulous, right? I'm kinda akin to seeing an Oddjob tribute appearing as an optional weapon of sorts, allowing Tuttle to throw his hat at enemies to cause damage. But yeah. I have no clue what they've got planned for any of Tuttle's long-range attacks.
