A bionic eye to aid those who have lost their sight or those who have lost their eyes completely. If this news doesn't catch your eye, then I'll get some laser surgery. Source: www.theverge.com/2012/4/27/2980568/bionic-eye-testing-2013Thus, the era of cyborgs is about to begin. Screw the era of non-enhanced cybernetic replacement parts! Give me my damn scanner+zoom+x-vision+etc eye already!

It's nice to know that 50 years from now, I'll have the option to see perfectly clearly again. Maybe I should start saving my money now.

I am actually not surprised that bionic eyes are going to be tested on humans so soon.
I'd like to see how well it went when that time comes.

I'm pretty sure it will be a success, but it will take many MANY years before it is perfected. I'm pretty sure this is gonna take a lot more than 50 years for this to happen.
Although, if it can only thing you can do with it is see, then its probably not as important compared to very other advancements we've made. All we are doing is trying to recreate something humans have had for many years.
If they don't at least give it the ability to change eye color, then it is probably a waste.

That's "SketchMan3". Capital S, capital M and the number 3. It's official (nicknames are ok, though)

This is really cool. We're one step closer to the world of Megaman Legends.

Look at technology that wasn't available 50 years and now today, technology progresses extremely fast and seems to be going even faster and faster. I could see, maybe not bionic, but some solution to different kinds of blindness in the next 30 years. Hopefully this will lead to super powers like x ray vision and laser eye rays.

Now we have to find out how many people like Fez are out there. They would be the kind of people to ruin this for everyone.

If those bionics are really going to work like that, then we must all have lead somehow worked into our clothes so that no one can peep through.
