X4 has the best music in the series, so naturally nobody really remixes it. If someone told me I could only own one Mega Man game and it had to be from the X series, I'd definitely pick X4 without hesitation. I don't really care too much for X5, though. I guess it's cool if you're into Guns N' Roses, but I couldn't get into it at all. I liked the characters from X4 better.

The X games from the PSone were basically guns, explosions and Rock n' Roll. Literally. The music is very nice and the graphics are amazing. Having said that, the gameplay and level design leaves a bit to be desired, especially after X5 (and before X8). But that's my opinion.

Grab those Master Balls! Buy a bunch of Potions! Spray that Max Repel and choose your starter: Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, or Pikachu! Why? Because it's time once again, Pokemon Trainers! Get ready, because on February 27th, 2016, it's time to go back to our genwunner roots and set off from Pallet Town to conquer the Indigo League, and stomp a mudhole in Team Rocket all over again! THAT'S RIGHT! Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow are coming to Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console next year! And that's not all! Because, exclusive to these Virtual Console ports, is a feature coming for the first time to Virtual Console: VIRTUAL LINK CABLE CONNECTIVITY!That's right! Through wireless connectivity, you'll be able to complete the Pokedex with your friends all over again by trading for the 150 Kanto Pokedex pokemon, and battling to see who the better trainer is! This was verified on both the official Pokemon Twitter feed AND during tonight's Nintendo Direct!

Oh wow. 10/10 will buy, and it'll probably be one of the only purchases I ever make on the eShop. They better NEVER drop support for the virtual link cable.
Next year's gonna be a fun time. Thanks Fatman!

My highlight from that Nintendo Direct was that Dragon Quest VII (3DS) is finally coming out over here! DQVIII's 3DS version was also announced, but that VII one is a pretty big remake from what it looked like back on the PS1.

So I just learned one of my two favorite strategy RPG franchises has a game coming to PC via Steam. Which one? Why, Disgaea, of course! The best part is it comes with all the content from the PSP version, Afternoon of Darkness!
The Hoopa giveaway at US McDonalds restaraunts is ongoing! Here's how to get it: - Go to your local US McDonalds
- Make sure your 3DS is on or in sleep mode; it will connect automatically to the free WiFi
- Start up Pokemon X, Y, Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire
- Choose Mystery Gift from the main menu
- Choose "Get a Mystery Gift"
- When it asks "The communication channel must be opened", say Yes
- On the next menu, choose Recieve Via Internet
- It will read the connection, and show you the available Hoopa gift. Choose Yes to receive the gift
- Once you receive your Hoopa Wondercard, start your save file, visit the nearest Pokemon Center, and pick up your Hoopa from the blue-suited lady
- (OMEGA RUBY/ALPHA SAPPHIRE ONLY) In OR/AS, visit a PokeMart with Hoopa in your party and speak to the new shop attendant standing by the counter to receive the Prison Bottle
- (X/Y ONLY) Take Hoopa to the library in the Parfum Palace in X/Y to read background information on Hoopa's abilities with its interdimensional Hyperspace Holes
I just got my Hoopa for X and for Alpha Sapphire. I didn't have to visit McDonalds for mine, though. I won't divulge how; google it if you want the secret so badly! COWABUNGA, dudes!Gematsu reports that Platinum Games, who developed Transformers: Devastation, is in the works of developing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan for PS3, PS4, X360, XBoner, and PC! Sooo, time to vacuum off the dust from this thread and breach the great unknown. Last night was the Nintendo Switch presentation livestream, the archive vid of which I will link below: So what we know about the Switch is this: - The system has a 2.5-4 hour battery life. The system charges via the new USB-C standard and video outputs from the Nintendo Switch dock via HDMI.
- The system comes with two Joy-Con controllers, which support high-definition precision rumble and accelerometer motion controls much like the Wii Remote, and the Joy-Con Grip for traditional gamepad gameplay.
- The system's online features, much like Playstation Plus and XBox Live, are subscription based, and most likely will be paid for via prepaid cards much like the Nintendo eShop and its modern console counterparts.
- The system sports an NVidia Tegra processor, made for mobile gaming, specially tooled for the system.
- Launch titles include 1-2 Switch!, a party game which takes advantage of the Joy-Cons' HD precision rumble for screenless player-versus-player gameplay, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild.
- System titles include Disgaea 5, Skyrim, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, a new Shin Megami Tensei title celebrating the franchise's anniversary, a new sandbox Mario game named Super Mario Odyssey, the sequel to the smash turf-war shooter Splatoon (we are all kids now squids now again), a new Musou-style Fire Emblem game, Dragon Quest X (only in Japan) and XI, and an interesting boxing combat game named ARMS using the Joy-Cons' motion controls.
- The system's retail price will be $299.99 USD (!) and the Switch Pro Controller will retail for $80 (!!).
How do we feel about this?

How do we feel about this? I'm honestly pretty excited. Super Mario Odyssey in particular is really appealing to me since I've always been a huge Mario 64 fan. The only two things that bother me at the moment are the paid internet (a disease unfortunately spread by Microsoft) and the extremely steep price of accessories.

The Switch and the new games that are going to be released on it looks awesome! Especially Super Mario Odyssey. The only thing I dislike is the paid online service...

The lineup is really solid for the Switch. Disgaea 5, Skyrim, Minecraft: Switch Edition, Sonic Mania, Super Mario Odyssey are all must-buys for me should I get a Switch. I'm not mad about the paid online though, because Sony and Microsoft both do the same with Playstation Plus and XBox Live, so I can understand why Nintendo would adopt a similar concept for their online offerings with the Switch.
I've seen a lot of people up in arms about its pricing and accessory prices, though, but honestly, I'm not looking at the Switch as a handheld or a tablet console, even though its specs indicate it has a 6.2-inch touchscreen. It's a home console that just so happens to have portability to it. I can understand why its accessories would be priced for such.

It's a home console that just so happens to have portability to it. I can understand why its accessories would be priced for such. Also consider this: Selling the Switch base pack for 30,000 yen (300 USD) is almost like selling it at an initial loss (much like Sony with the initial PS3 and PS4 launches), especially when compared to modern portable devices which easily over twice that price (at least in Japan). I can definitely see myself playing this during a lunch break or even just in transit on the train during my normal day due to its portability. As for paid "premium" for online services, I would like to know the actual pricing first though it is not looking appealing to me at the moment. I do not like the idea of only getting one game's availability per month, so I am hoping the policy might change a bit; e.g. if you played the game for x amount of time during its free availability period, a discount will be offered to you etc.). Or even better: Cross-ownership with the New 3DS not unlike what the PS4/PSVita does.

The Switch looks dang neat. It looks like Nintendo might be able to avoid having the usual first-year droughts if they do this staggered release schedule thing right for a change. And Zelda owners that don't want to upgrade right away can still get the game on the Wii U, so they didn't abandon those system owners either.
I'm really excited for Sonic Mania. It's like the game I've been wanting since Sonic Advance 1 came out nearly fifteen years ago.

Ladies and Gentlemen! The Pokémon Bank 2017 Update is now live!
Updating the Pokemon Bank and Poketransporter apps requires a full redownload of their software, and allows compatibility with Gen VII Pokemon games Sun & Moon, as well as the Virtual Console releases of Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow. It enables transferring Pokemon from Gen VI's X, Y, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire to Sun & Moon, allowing you to finally bring your A-game in Alola!
The Pokemon transferred from Kanto via the original Generation I Virtual Console releases come bog-standard with a new Game Boy marking signifying their origins in the twenty-year old games. They get a randomized nature, at least three guaranteed maxed-out IVs, and come with, of all surprises, their Hidden Ability.
Note that Mew obtained via the Mew Glitch, as well as Glitch Pokemon like MissingNo. will NOT transfer over.
Furthermore, the Bank update adds a National Pokedex feature, allowing you to track the Pokemon you've captured across Gen VI and VII, including Pokemon transferred from previous generations via PokeTransporter. It also adds some nifty-keen statistics of your games tracked!
Finally, as a gift for your long and faithful use of Pokemon Bank, Bridgette offers a special gift for being such a loyal customer: Mew's exclusive Z-Crystal, Mewnium Z! For use with Mew like the 20th Anniversary Mew transferred from Gen VI, so you can use its exclusive Z-Move, Genesis Supernova!
This special Z-Crystal is only available to Pokemon Bank users until October 2nd, 2017, grab it while it lasts!
The Pokemon Bank update requires 496 blocks on your memory card, and requires a full redownload of the app software. The PokeTransporter update requires 420 blocks. A high-capacity MicroSDHC/MicroSDXC or SDHC/SDXC card is recommended.
