Hey everyone! Thank you all so much for taking the time to take this survey! I'm not about to take down the survey, but I need to cut off any responses past this point. You were all a huge help. Again, thank you!

1. What attracted you to the Mega Man series in the first place? Believe it or not, the box-art for the Mega Man 3 NES title is what originally caught attention to my 5 year old brain. I thought "A blue robot fighting? Cool!"
2. Do you produce fan art/videos/games? If so, why and for which subseries (Classic, X, Legends, Zero, BN, SF, ZX)? In the past, I've used to use ideas from the Mega Man Universe to create original characters to role play with. Other than that, I haven't held much interest in creating fan art/videos/games of anything when the originals were good enough to entertain me.
3. Are you an avid collector of Mega Man media/memorabilia? If so, why and for which subseries? Other than the games themselves an a couple figurines when I was younger, not really.
4. How much of your time and/or money does being a fan cost you? A lot more time than money. I can't really give an accurate amount of time or money spend on the series in general.
5. How long have you been a Mega Man fan? From an early age discovering my love for video games. I want to say around when I was 5 or 6 is when I started to play the games on the NES. Back when my local Stop & Shop carried videos and games to rent/buy.
6. What keeps you coming back to the series? I believe it's a combination of my early love for the series when I was a child and also the challenges it tends to create for me.
7. Have you met other fans in real life? Not as much of a fan of the series as I am. All the fans I've met who've heard of Mega Man only knows him by the original series games alone.
8. What do you think of the future of Mega Man and its fandom? To be honest, I see the Mega Man series and it's fandom as a dying breed. I remember a point where Mega Man video games were being released every single year, one of Capcom's giant mascots. Because of this, I feel as if the fans were losing interest; the "same thing better look" idea. This forced Capcom to come up with spinoffs to the series, trying to keep the original fans happy but more ultimately, creating a new fanbase to try to obtain that popular fandom again.
Fast forward things to today. The only thing "Mega Man" I've heard of was the recreation of the 8-bit games (MM9 & MM10) and the cancellation of Legends 3. I feel the 8-bit games were easily funded for with it's simplicity and directed to original gamers who yearned for a new classic challenge. The Legends series has always been the least popular of the series so Capcom canned it. The Mega Man character was used as a cameo appearance in Capcom's fighter games like Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 and Street Fighter X Tekken. His appearance seem to be more a joke than anything else. Why else use the poorly designed box-art as a character?
9. Demographic information: age, location (city, state/country), gender. 23, CT, USA, Male.
10. What is your favorite Mega Man subseries? I know I make reference to the classic series a lot earlier in my responses, but the Legends series is what I love most about the Mega Man Universe. Combining the Mega Man character with this new world of Diggers, Pirates, Energy Crisis, Flying Airships, and old ruins to explore created an almost obsessive feeling for the subseries that I love. The two games and spinoff game are not enough to satisfy my craving. I would pay any amount of money to recreate some of those strong feelings I felt playing the Legends series.
(Just realized that the survey was cut off but in case if anyone wanted to read my responses here they are.)

1. What attracted you to the Mega Man series in the first place? One of my best friends in elementary school had Megaman X, and because it was the most difficult game in his household, we played it for weeks. Eventually we got to the point where I can now play through X in a few hours.2. Do you produce fan art/videos/games? If so, why and for which subseries (Classic, X, Legends, Zero, BN, SF, ZX)? No, no, no, no, and no. I've never been a fanart/fanvideo/fangame/fanfic person. I'd rather write about my own brainchild than someone else's.3. Are you an avid collector of Mega Man media/memorabilia? If so, why and for which subseries? Not really, no.4. How much of your time and/or money does being a fan cost you? Well, it would have cost me the price of Megaman Legends 3, but now it's kind of free.5. How long have you been a Mega Man fan? Oh, say, since third grade. 14 years nearly.6. What keeps you coming back to the series? The simplicity, the Nintendo Hard, the platforming, the servbots.7. Have you met other fans in real life? Lots of my gamer friends like Megaman.8. What do you think of the future of Mega Man and its fandom? I'm going to predict that it's going to slowly disappear because Capcom is more focused on fighting games and Resident Evil right now. Plus, Inafune isn't around anymore. So I think Megaman as an intellectual property will slowly die out.9. Demographic information: age, location (city, state/country), gender. 22, North Carolina, US, Male10. What is your favorite Mega Man subseries? It's a toss up between X and Legends, though I don't really care for any of the later X games. The original Megaman X was the best Megaman game ever.Aww, I got Zoidberg'd, because I don't pay attention to the forums.
