Every gamer has one. That ONE GAME that, above all the others, is the most prized in their collection.
Be it the best game, the most pricey game, the rarest game... Everyone has ONE GAME that they think defines their collection, that they would never, EVER sell.
This is the thread where you list yours. And DON'T list any of the Legends games - that's a bit too obvious. And be sure to tell us a bit about the game in question!
In my case, it'd have to be my copy of EarthBound.
There's far too much to this game to say here, especially without spoiling anything, but in short, it's a quirky JRPG that takes place in a Japanese interpretation of America, with you playing as a kid with a baseball bat who has to save the world from an Eldritch Abomination. Fun, eh?

Pfffbt... "Don't list any of the Legends games" he says. Truner would totally have a list for you, alright. At any rate, I suppose my Crown Jewel (apart from the copy of MM64 that I recently bought) would have to be my copy of Ocarina of Time for the N64. It was the very first N64 game I've ever played. And although I hadn't a clue what I was doing back then, I grew up with the game, and eventually beat it. Playing through Ocarina of Time 3D keeps the spirit alive, since setting up the N64 is a bother for me anymore. But, I'll never forget the 100% complete file that I know exists on my old skool cartridge.

When asked the question, only one name comes to mind first: EarthBound.

Probably Jet Grind Radio or Skies of Arcadia on Dreamcast. Or one of the Sonic games for Genesis/Megadrive.
Unrelated, isn't it a bit presumptuous to assume no one knows what Earthbound is?

WHY OF COURSE ITS MEG... wait... Right.
I could say it was Zero Collection... but I would be not saying the truth.
Mine is Bomberman 2 ("Custom battle Bomberman") for the DS. I just love it. It's kind of sad that not many people know about it... I mean.. it's your classic Bomberman... WITH VIRUSES
I don't know what it is anyway so that explained a little.

Earthbound(again) and my imported Mother 3 are mine. Giant box that included the game guide and everything for Earthbound, and the special GBA Micro and Franklin Badge that came with the deluxe box for Mother 3.
I'll never let them go, they're actually the only things I've ever went through great lengths to own. I'm usually just satisfied with the game/story alone, but something about the Mother series really made me want to go the extra mile for once.

That's "SketchMan3". Capital S, capital M and the number 3. It's official (nicknames are ok, though)

My crown jewel would have to be Super Mario Bros. 3 or Ape Escape. I can't choose between them.

You don't want to know how many people I've run into who don't know about EarthBound, and it's always better to be safe than sorry.

Everyone can know EarthBound, but it's not everyone who owns the actual cartdrige. And the price has been going up lately: buyearthbound.com/

MegaTuga: OMG, BOMBERMAN 2! I LOVE THAT GAME !!! Did you know that the multiplayer mode in that game had a DSiWare release? O.o I'm surprised someone knows that game. Regarding the multiplayer mode it's just Bomberman Battle Pack 2 included in games like Bomberman Land Touch 2 or Bomberman Story DS. So yeah I'm not surprised. After all All Bomberman games (I think Except Bomberman Hero for the n64) have always the battle/multiplayer mode.

Having to choose between Shenmue 2 Limited Edition, Mother 3, my sealed Ocarina of Time games, Project Diva 2: Hatsune Miku, KH BBS FM, KH2 FM+, Halo Reach Legendary Edition, the original Sonic the Hedgehog, Paper Mario, Super Mario RPG and Uncharted 3 LE is pretty tough.
However, nobody said anything against arcade games. Thus, the "Crown Jewel" of my gaming collection is non other than one of my personal favorites: "Sonic the Fighters".

For me, the crown jewels would be a toss-up between Final Fantasy XII (my absolute favorite Final Fantasy game of all time) and Cave Story 3D. I generally don't have anything else that counts but those two.
Final Fantasy XII is the twelth game in the Final Fantasy series, and is chronologically the first in the Ivalicean Alliance games (comprised of FFXII, Final Fantasy Tactics, FFTactics Advance & A2, and Vagrant Story). It's a great game about warring states and the gods playing them as puppets, and how humanity shakes off its strings and takes hold of its own destiny.
Cave Story 3D is a remake of the cult classic PC game created by Daisuke 'Pixel' Amaya, a one-man Japanese coding team who developed Cave Story within the span of a year. What starts out as a Metroid/Castlevania-inspired platformer about an amnesiac robot becomes a gripping story about saving the world from a madman and his army of drugged, berserk rabbit people, and becomes even more than that if you play through the harder parts of the story intentionally.

'Crown Jewel', huh? Well, I'm not entirely sure; I don't have a vast collection of games, and not too many of them are really all that valuable or rare. Perhaps something like Nostalgia, or Skies of Arcadia (for GC)? Maybe Car Battler Joe or Alundra 2? Surely the original Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga doesn't count? Do any of these really qualify for the title of 'crown jewel of a game collection'? :06:
Pretty much all of the above-mentioned games are at least part-RPG with a good amount of action thrown in, by the way.

Huh. You learn something new every day. I didn't know XII was the first game chronologically, and I didn't know Vagrant Story was part of Ivalice. Do you know the complete chronology? I know A2 comes after XII, as does Revenant Wings.

Argh, why did you have to make me choose?
My definite "crown jewel" in my video game collection would have to Sonic Mega Collection Plus for the PC as it's a collection of the Sonic games I used to play on the Mega Drive back in the day.
