Well, I had searched and didn't find anything that suggested that another thread had existed with this topic, so...
What was the last live action movie/ series/ show/ comedy/ soapie, etc. you had seen recently? Was it good? Was it bad? Was it the first time you saw this series and you were hooked? Was that episode the worst episode ever? Did that movie live up to your expectations or were you disappointed? Tell us here!

I'm watching the first season of How I Met Your Mother. I like it so much I bought the second season for my brother, since he let me borrow the Season 1 DVD and I'm probably not going to see him for two to three more weeks. I can honestly add Robin to the very short list of female fictional characters I can relate to, too. Along with the entire mane cast of My Little Pony, save Fluttershy.

I'm just after finishing the second season of Sherlock. It's umm.... an awesome show, to say the least. The modern representations of Sherlock, Watson and Moriarty are spot on, and the season finale felt like a roller-coaster of suspense. I'd recommend the show to any fan of the books. You'll probably love it.
The downsides? Each episode it almost ninety minutes long, so it'd take some dedication to sit through one. Granted, there are only three episodes per season, so that makes for a grand total of six so far. The worst part, is that the second season is over. Now I need to wait another year and a half for season three. :21:

Hmm. I watch alot of live-action stuff, so I would have to really think. Excluding the documentaries and TV talk shows I watched.
I guess the last live action I watched was a repeat of Doctor Who. It was the special where the Doctor meets Christina (the jewel thief0 on a bus and it gets transported to a dead planet of ant people. A really good special with clever writing. I didn't like Christina as much as I did Martha Jones, maybe because she's not a hot black chick played by a hot half black half Indian chick. And because she's a fairly rude character. But the special itself is good.
And hey! I didn't know Dashe was a fellow How I Met Your Mother fan! I watch that show all the time.I don't know what episode I liked more. The cockamouse episode, Robin's secret or the hot to crazy meter episode. Or the one where Lilly reconnects with her dad and gives him the you're dead to me look. It's hard to choose!

The last live action series I watched was "TMBG Kids Video Podcast". Funny stuff, and actually very educational.
The last movie I watched was "Real Steel". It was good, in a contrived totally-predictable-but-makes-you-forget-to-predict-what-you-knew-was-coming-next sort of way. Good CGI too.

So far my favorites are pretty much anything involving Robin Sparkles. COME ON, EVERYBODY! LET'S GO TO THE MALL! I'm a big fan of Breaking Bad, too. A very recent big fan, since my dad acquired all of the DVDs from Season 1-3. Not so much a big fan of what RJ Mitte's been doing with his hair lately.

How I've Met Your Mother: Funny and Enjoyable, as always.
Young & The Restless: Jana had locked Kevin in the room while the others are looking for her. It's funny that as much as I used to like Jana before her drastic personality change, I really despise her now. I hope this arc would be over and done with soon.
7de Laan: While this drama is usually very good and down-to-earth and its only flaws would be how quick people fall in love with one another, I really am not looking forward to the new storyline they had started this Friday. I can't believe that Herman would fall for Helena within a day (and he even seems to forget all about Felicity) , but luckily he broke up with her ASAP when he realized what he's about to do. Helena found out why he broke up with her. Now Helena's going to make his life miserable. Argh, stupid writers. Better wrap this up as soon as possible.
Isidingo: I really enjoyed this week's episodes.

Psych: I think this may very well be the funniest show I've ever watched, I'm absolutely hooked. I love a good comedy and a good mystery.
I'd also like to second Sherlock as a great show. I was hesitant at first, but that premiere episode really got me hooked, it's a great rendition of the classic detective in a modern setting.

The last live action show I watched was Saturday Night Live. The host was Channing Tatum, and while his acting skills in his monologue weren't the best I've seen, it was one of the funniest episodes I've seen since when Ben Stiller hosted. I hope next week's episode has Stefon in the Weekend Update. He's my favorite character from this current generation.
Would wrestling count since it's half-action show half-combat sport? In that case I just saw a brilliant iPPV show on DVD. Chikara: High Noon. That show was stellar. Chikara is basically a character-based wrestling organization, produced to feel like a comic book come to life and it does that concept very well. Not a bad match in the whole show, and each one of the rivalries were epic and believable. The main event between Eddie Kingston and Mike Quackenbush that crowned the company's first ever grand champion is one for the ages. By far one of the best iPPV shows I've ever seen. It's so much better than the crap WWE produces and the confusing dribble on TNA.

I've been watching a lot of Nurse Jackie lately. Back when it was new, my best friend at school showed me the first three episodes and I've finally found the time to sit around and watch the rest of it. I'm not sure what it is about the show that I like yet, except that one of the creators did the voice for Dr. Hutchinson in Rocko's Modern Life.

Hey hey! Let's bump an old thread! I just started getting into watching Breaking Bad, after hearing about it from two sources (MMLS being one of them, naturally). And I gotta say that it's pretty awesome. I finished the second episode of the first season, and that... was a pretty hilarious ending. It's got the perfect amount of action and suspense tied into it. I'm watching it at a pretty slow pace so that I can give a friend time to watch it as well so we can ultimately try to be up to date on it together, but... he's really dragging his feet. He's watched like 7 theatre movies since the last time I watched one of those though, so. I don't know. I think I may end up getting the better deal if I leave him 7 episodes behind. Definitely gonna do episode 3 tonight before bed and tell him to get his rear in gear for this series.

Anyone else into The Walking Dead? I'm not really a zombie/gore person, but my college roommate introduced me to the series, and the character interaction/dynamics sort of got me hooked. Season 2 was a little slow, and there are a few "filler" episodes, but for the most part the show is excellent!

I really love watching New Girl! Zooey Deschanel is really fashionable and the male characters are very interesting and hilarious.
Nick is my favorite character, pretty much since the beginning. He's kinda like the guy who was cool through school, but after that he lost his touch and became an alcoholic.
I also watch SNL, because who doesn't love political humor? I have antenna TV, so I get the three channels that all play late night shows and that's all cool. The other night the show Last Call introduced me to a new band. Neat.

Anyone else into The Walking Dead? I watched all the Walking Dead that Netflix had before switching over to Breaking Bad. I know there's more Walking Dead than what Netflix has, but I'm making do with what I can as I await for AMC to get on the ball. I'm leaving the friend behind for Breaking Bad. He's too much of a busy person, so. I'm a bad person. Currently on Episode 3 of season 2.

Last time I checked (like yesterday lol) they had seasons 1-4 in full. Season 5 is currently airing now, though it's on a mid-season break.
