It was a 100MB file though, it would've taken forever. Unless you have cable or DSL.
If you have the MegaMan Anniversary Collection (GCN version) you can unlock the entire G4TechTV show.

I got to see it before it was deleted, actually... Thanks a lot for the link!
Typical G4 fare, if you ask me. I really am not a big fan of that channel. It's pretty much like "Wow! Thanks for telling me stuff I already know and could get online quicker and without having to put up with your annoying show hosts!" There was nothing there that I hadn't already heard and in much greater detail. It did the Mega Man games no justice at all, especially not Legends. You just can't, in half an hour.

"Wow! Thanks for telling me stuff I already know and could get online quicker and without having to put up with your annoying show hosts!" Someday I will make a Tee-shirt with G4 printed on the front and that written on the back and everybody with the common sense of a spoon will want to buy one because its so true, especially for those non-gamming non-technical: wearejustabunchofdumbidiotswholiketomaketvshowsbecausethatistheonlythingweknowhowtodoXorsomethingofthatnature; shows that make you want to move to the mountains and live like a wild man for a little while. %(# I hate those!

Ever see how excited G4 gets when a 3D first-person shooter comes out. It actually seems like they're only showing first-person games lately. And then, they really don't have much taste with other games. I mean, they did an hour-long show on Spiderman 2! Is that game even any good?
What's worse, is they show the same shows every day. I saw Spiderman 2 aired 3 days in a row. XO~~~

I plainly think that G-4's views are warped beyond repair. I liked tech-tv before G-4 came but I barely ever watch the channel now. there are some great first person shooters but they get way too excited over high profile movie games(that in most cases stink). About showing the same episode in a row they usually repeat episodes from the night before during afternoon. Its very annoying because I'm usually up at night. I plainly think G-4 no longer cares about some kinds of gamers.

They also only care for today's games... Although sometime's on Filter they talk about classic games... for about a minute.

I am going to go pout in a corner: The link died. I might just go pester Feldi for it on the faint hope that she might still have it. I'm curious.
Anywho, it makes sense - they should care about the games of today. People are not only greedy snots but it's how the gaming world makes progress. Game classics are not being ignored though - look at the Gameboy Advance reviving some old SNES titles. Seriously, I am looking forward to the day when I can take Chrono Trigger or (Here's a pipedream) maybe E.V.O. around in my pocket.
But compared to the other series of the Megaman kin, Legends is sinking into the depths of time. Yes, it made Greatest Hits - but some other games did and they're going through the same fandom struggle. I used to be apart of the Parasite Eve fandom and it was about as small as Legends and like it, it was dwarfed by other Square offerings like Final Fantasy. Amazing it gained any ground.
To add to the cartoon point, I think it's also because there is a lack of cliché appeal to the series - Yaoi/mxm couples and girly men are all the rage these days. There are no main characters that Trigger can be paired up with without looking... scary (TEISEL X MEGAMAN LUV AHHHH!). This is more of a yuri series, as there are more appealing female leads. (Roll, Tron, Sera, Yuna...) And, honestly, I've seen more rabid yaoi fangirls than yuri.
One a side note, a lot of yaoi girls also like to hiss and spittle at female characters. I want to kick them in the shins since they often want to kill Tron or Roll simply because they're standing in the way of their Mary Stu androgynous girly boy.
Yet again, it's a double-edged sword: we could live without them. I have no problem with homo or hetro couples but I don't tolerate frothing fangirls too well. Just ask Feldinaut.

Fire -- You're right about the revivals, but they are missing out the greatest classics! Wing Commander has to be in the top 10 video games ever created, it might not seem like nothing today, but in 1990, it was the best ----- It had the best graphics at the time, it had the best story for a video game, it had the first real score for a video game, it was simply an amazing game...
Hence, the series is most successful game series in gaming history, there's even a Wing Commander movie (Even if it's not that good), there's a series of novels, there was a card game, there was a TV show, there's an amazing website (www.wcnews.com), and Wing Commander IV is the most expensive video game ever created -- $10 million.
Yet, there's no re-makes and such... The most we Wing fans have gotten since 1997 is a port of Wing Commander Prophecy to the GBA last year.
There IS a reason why there's no Wing Commander games --- Electronic Arts owns it.

I remember seeing that Mega Man special on G4 earlier this month, but I forgot when it was on and missed it. I used to watch Tech TV all the time just because they showed the reruns of "Max Headroom: 20 Minutes into the Future" a lot.

Get this, G4 gave NFL Street a 4 out of 5, and in the very same show they gave .hack//QUARANTINE a 3 out of 5! Talk about LAME!

You probably mean X-Play.
I'm friends with the host of the show, Adam Sessler, not in real life, on the message boards/chat room.

Ummm... first off, BM1-3, could you put some spaces in your post with the really long run on word, cause it's making my screen a mile wide and the scroll isn't working.
2nd, FG, if you wanna see the icons special you can either rent or buy Megaman Anniversary Collection for either Gamecube or PS2.
3rd, it was an awesome icons, the best one I ever saw! I love Final Fantasy, but the Final Fantasy Icons sucked cause they talked about VII (the worst in the series, IMO) for like an hour. But this Icons, they barely dwelled on one subject for too long and they actually interviewed Keiji Inafune!!! I learned stuff I never knew like the fact that Megaman was gonna be named Knuckle Kid. It was sooo cool!
4th, classic games are great, but newer games are where it's at. I love some old games to death, but they lack one thing that most newer games have now- stories. I need a reason to play a game, like to figure something out, not just complete a task. That's why Legends was so great! It had an excellent story. But if you look at old games like Metroid or Super Mario Bros., they pale in comparison to their replacements. Super Mario Sunshine has the best story of any Mario game, same goes for Metroid Prime. I say we should take the game play and quality of the past and use the vast storage space of the games today to make the game compelling and worth playing.
