Out of the two games, (heh...I wish there was 10 of 'em!) this is the best.
State your opinion!

This is my favorite game in the series as well. I just love the atmosphere, a fun romp (or LEAP ;D) around Kattelox Island with your dancing robot monkey , Gramps, and sister (?). The plot in Legends 2 totally messed me up, and all I really recall of the game is thinking "What the...WHY?!" On the downside, the graphics are horrid, in my opinion, I'm finding standard mode to be much too easy now that I'm replaying it, and the and ruins were lackluster, all things MML2 improved upon. I suppose Legends 2 is a better game, if you're going by improvements. But I still prefer the original ;D.

Hey Keenan, good to see you here. Great topic BTW, I hear all too often that MML2 is the prize of the series, but I totally think the original rules. But then maybe that's just my "love for the first" syndrome speaking out... Nah, MML2 was really awesome, but it didn't have the same feel that defined MML1, and that feel to me is what defines Legends!

Between Legends 1 and 2, I have to side with Legends. The entire network of sub-ruins beneath Kattelox and how they all connected to each other gave it a farther reaching feel whereas in MML2, there were general 1 or 2 sub-ruins per island that didn't connect to each other and didn't connect to other islands. It made each sub-ruin feel more confined that way. Also, I was left wanting to see more of the Bonnes and come to the conclusion that Bola, Klaymoore and Glyde were taking up time that could've been devoted to them. Now while I'm sure the Bonnes aren't the only air pirates out there, they certainly are the best. Klaymoore and Glyde, I liked, but Bola didn't really seem to add anything to the mix. He's the 5th wheel of the bunch. For that matter, Glyde wasn't up to his MotB par in MML2 either. His bird ship and secret fortress both looked pretty shabby. That, and I've never especially liked the Birdbots. Graphically, MML2 is superior, but MML still holds up after all this time. I find neither displeasing to look at. I do love the ability to pick up Reaverbots though! Can't deny the coolness of that! It's a tough call, but I have to side with MML1 on this for now. MML2 is a great game. It just has a different feel to it. I do know that whenever the Bonnes showed up on-screen, I was never disappointed. I love their interactions within their unit and with their enemies. They're great. The Reaverbot bosses were more original in MML1, I thought. In MML2 we had a giant frog for a boss and most of the bosses all had 2 eyes this time out. I liked that the MML1 bosses had a single Reaverbot eye- it's just one of those little things that helps make them stand apart from the other mechanical threats you encounter. Makes it seem like they really are from another time and culture.
MML1 takes it for me. But MML2 is still a great game.

Now let me explain.
I can't really explain why MML was the best, it's strange.
I was really amazed that a game like MML was kind of "split" I've never seen an action (not rpg) game with both areas where you don't fight at all, and talk to the citizens and go somewhere else and shoot things!
Being secluded to an island was another part, I thought it was really cool being in one area, trying to solve a mystery instead of being in a huge world trying to solve your own missions.

You mean I have to choose between the three games?! oh man that's hard to do um well let's see here um I would have to say Megaman Legends 2 is my favorite because it has way better side quests but Megaman Legends does come very close as for the misadventures of tron bonne I barely played the game like maybe 5 minutes but it was at a friends house because I don't own the game which sucks!

I like the Legends 1 better just because 1-You don't have to worry about a bunch of different areas/towns. 2-The ruins are much better look as well as feel. 3-I also like the sub-ruin system. 4-The obviously great storyline. However the second one does have it's perks such as the lock on system is better and the Great storyline from the first continues making it very good as well. As far as the Misadventures goes, I like it because, while its storyline isnt as strong it kinda gives you a peek at the bonnes before Megaman Legends and is fun as a bunch of little miniquests.

(Decides whether to explain why or why not)
(chooses 1/2 of each)
A yes, I think Megaman Legends 2. No not because of the classic noob answer "it has better graphics", for I am a very educated legends fan. I believe they have equal magic, but I loved the fighting style of MML2, and playing it at like a party or something was twice as enjoyable as legends 1. The story I believe is better, and the charmingness may have been quelled slightly, the fact that it is longer abolishes that!

Let me make a list....
Story: MML2 Gameplay: MML2 Graphics: MML2 Weapons: MML2 Fun Factor: MML1 Features: MML2 Side-Quests: MML1 Characters: MML1 Enemies: MML1
So that's 5 to 4 in favor of MML2. So I'll go with MML2.

Mmm... I still love MML more. In MML2 it just feels so confined, that, and all you do is "GO FIND THE KEY BLAH BLAH BLAH". Sure there was the racing bit but it just wasn't enough.

To tell you the truth, I only did the racing in Legends 2 when I first got the game. The other 9 playthroughs I didn't race at all.

I think he was talking about that one guy near that statue in Kimitomo City (sorry if I didn't spell it right). If the statue is restored or was safe from Teisel, then he'll ask you if you want to race him. I don't want to race him because I suck at racing.
