I honestly cringe a little when I see the title. I'd prefer the title be "The Mayor and her two students/pupils" rather than "Quiz Girls.", but that's my opinion. Does it have to matter? Most people would call them the quiz girls anyway since it's easier to remember and more people would 'get it' when someone is talking about them. Besides, that title seems awfully long. If you linger around in the Sulphur Bottom, Barell will tell you about the mayor of Pokte who loves quizzes and that he himself took her quiz which he described as hard (he wasn't kidding about that). That and Ofuton calls herself the Mayor's first student, and it would only be fair for Yaito to also be one of her students. The game is old enough (though exceptions can be made to those who just jumped in), so I'm pretty sure almost anyone would know them as The Mayor and her pupils. Also I'd prefer long and detailed than short and ambiguous. P.S. Was I the reason for the reply that may have banned you?

P.S. Was I the reason for the reply that may have banned you? Banned? Hah. She actually rage quit. It wasn't anything on your part. As far as contributing to the thread goes... I dunno. I honestly thought the quiz girls were a meaningless impossible addition without GameFAQs, and that's the first and only time that I've ever had to actually go there to look up their answers. Whether it was for the 10 question quiz or the 100.

Pretty much speaks for itself. It's not that we're not aware of their real jobs either. We know it's the mayor and her pupils, but prefer the nickname "quiz girls". From a gameplay standpoint, these characters are far more significant for the quizzes than for mayoral duties and pupil studies. It sounds like you don't like the term "quiz girls" because it belittles their significant village status, it doesn't pay them the proper respect. They're fictional characters though, so I don't care about such formalities. They're quiz girls. That's a good enough title for most fans.

Ah, names. Names are good. Names will help me track them down when I seek my revenge.
too many hours spent on those quizzes why can't you just give your village savior the prize money lady dont be ridiculous.

I seriously don´t understand why the title bothered blayze16. Anyway, if some character have a name then it´s easiest for you to familiarize with him and grow some kind of "friendship", although I feel like I hate Yai because she always points me and laughs of my ineptitude. (Did Someone remember "Duck hunt" for Nintendo? I wanted to shoot at that mocking dog.)
Youkan deserves to be the mayor, she knows how to get funds for the village, Z200 every time you want to get the Zetsabre and it´s almost impossible to answer 100 questions without GameFAQs. I tried a few times without cheating but I only finished Yai´s quiz once, and never tried again.

Let me tell you: there's a big leap of difficulty when you got done with Yai's quiz and you move oon to Ofuton's quiz. I think I only encountered the subject of her questions on my junior high history class (and I was on the 5th grade when I played this game).
And I finally stopped cringing.

I had heard about the little girl's name being Yai before, but not about the other two being named Youkan and Ofuton.
Yep, Yai can really being annoying when you choose the incorrect answer ~_~;

Huh, never knew they had official name or cared for that matter. I always called them the quiz girls. But surprisingly it was pretty educational since the game used real world references which was a very nice touch that more games nowadays should do. I remember me and my siblings had to look up books and ask our dad on some of the questions lol and the quizzes would take hours to do. Now his was before the internet became prominent so we couldn't look up a guide back then.

I wonder if now that it's been 20+ years since the game was released, I'll have heard of all of those 80s bands in the quizzes. And that's just knowing who the bands are. I'm still not sure I'd be able to answer questions about them with any consistency.
