Lighting bolts? Wow, Can't wait to fight this guy. Looks like it'll take some time to beat him. This thing is actually creepy to me. Floating Reaverbot symbols on the clouds... Anyways Megaman is smaller than the giant lighting bolt coming striking down. I want to be in these contests, but m artistic drawing is horrible.

I want to be in these contests, but m artistic drawing is horrible. That doesn't have to be a problem. In case you missed it, what we did here was basically design by committee. For Seeteufel, lots of members posted their ideas in the forum thread about the contest, then those of us comfortable with the drawing side of things coalesced those ideas into a design that we submitted with everyone's name attached. With Kaetoriizu and Hankuruten we mostly formed teams in iscribble sessions where we would discuss ideas and the artists would draw them out at the same time. If there's another design contest along these lines (although it's looking like they're far enough into development to be beyond this point by now), then I hope we collaborate again, but with more of a Seeteufel approach. It really helped having the notes on the board to start with instead of trying to weed them out of the chat, and it was a lot more fun going at our own pace rather than trying to keep up with the organization during the Reaverbot contest.

Yeah, ditto on that, Rai. Seeteufel came together brilliantly...half the people who worked on the reaver collabs dropped out midway, too. Pitch and I had an informal brainstorming session for Seety back in the CU meebo applet, which went a long way in choreographing the battle dynamics and setting it up. On top of that, Seeteufel had a longer deadline to work with. I hope they give us another shot at a design event!

I'm happy to see Kankan's Reaverbot not change much, I am miffed they didn't at least mention him as 9, given how patient he was in having that number assigned (I added it into the database months before the mods actually got around to changing it).

I kind of like Calamity, I don’t have anything against it, but I will admit that other entries made me go “wow!” while this one…..didn’t. More of a “huh, interesting” kind of reaction.
I actually like how they didn’t change the design that much, as I personally think the updated Donner doesn’t really look like the illustrations submitted, same goes for Aero. I’m glad something stayed the same haha. Contacting the creator about Calamity shows they actually care about what he intended it to look like, instead of them just making something up.

Thats cool that they actually talked to him and worked out everything. A leebird is a leebird no matter how fancy they look or what attacks they have. You blow it up and deflectors go flying. Though I kind of liked its design, can't wait to see it in action.

I love this design. think how epic the battle will be, dashing through the field around the calamity; huge blasts of lightning shaking the earth, searing your armor as each blast strikes closer with claps of thunder following each. You barely dodge roll from a blast that strikes just where you were, your buster gun barely pelting his flank. Trying desperately to nail his glowing red eye, mocking you as it stares dead into your soul, with much the same terror one recalls frm HAl's red eye in 2001: A Space Oddysey. Wow, waaaay overdid that. Writing a Megaman fanfic prior to this, so I'm just a little incensed, lol.

It would've been neat if those cloud generators had places where they could pop into the main body. Then they could pop out and generate the cloud when the hero first encounters it. I doubt it's running around with that cloud around it all of the time, because reaverbots probably spend a lot of time waiting.
