When I moved the section to General Discussion, Proboards ate all the old RPs and threads. :21: And I forgot to make archives, too.
On the bright side, the boards look cleaner. :09:

Wait, so everything's gone? :18: MML: Z-Day, Big Two: High Stakes, OOC stuff...even Shengosu!? D: I mean, hopefully one of those sites like wayback machine or something has some form of them, but this is a bit of a loss in terms of forum history, no offense meant, Dashe. I guess on a positive note, this allows for a fresh beginning? I still hope we can recover some of the old threads...

I hope so too. If I'd known Proboards would pull a stunt like that, I'd have manually archived at least the RP posts. If anyone who is good at computers or Proboards can figure one out, by all means go for it. Z-day is actually still there though. It happened later and never got shifted to the MSU. Only...there was only ever one post. EDIT: Proboards actually does offer support for stuff like this. Only downside is that fAB would have to be the one to request it, since he has the main admin account.

Oh lordy. :37:
On one hand, I'm mortified. Can't count the hours I put into the original trial RPs. I think Shengosu still stands as the only time I've ever hit Proboards' character limit for a post (their OLD character limit, granted, but still).
On the other hand, my writing was/is pretty crap. So if that all gets wiped from the records, I guess I ought to consider it a blessing of some sort.
Guess that leaves me kind of neutral on this. But still. Big chunk of forum history down the pot right there, if the threads aren't recovered.

To err is human; to forgive is divine - Alexander Pope Hopefully the data can be recovered with no loss. I tried wayback machine and it apparently has nothing for the station.

I've asked. Now let's see what the people at ProBoards support can do.
Well, looks like there's nothing we can do about it. What a terrible loss. Seems a backup of the forums was made yesterday, so the restore point is after the loss occured. My fault for not being able to get on this right away when Dashe told me about it. Sorry everyone! I too tried the Wayback Machine for good measure. There is stuff for mmls.proboards7.com, the old address. I couldn't seem to get into any of Shengosu's pages no matter when on the timeline I tried, but I did open one of the Big Two High Stakes pages so anyone interested might be able to get in there and save copies of them all with enough digging.

Anybody know how to use the wayback machine? I was trying to access that archive but it wouldn't work for me. Actually, I should probably stay away from overly technical stuff, it's what got us in this mess in the first place. :06:

Oh my, I'll never have a chance to read all of them now. ;( I probably would have never read them all anyways.
