After seemingly endless delays, the Role Playing Forum is now open and ready to go! A new set of rules has been drawn up, hopefully making it easier for everyone to participate and enjoy themselves here. These rules are a revised set, compiled by me but based on two sets of rules written by Dash Myoku and Four. These are the two RP Keepers, who will be monitoring the RPs here and have the right to tell you if and when you’ve done something wrong. Likewise, it is they you should go to if you’re having RP problems, not the rest of the Forum Staff. There is no “Master RP Keeper,” both possess the same power and authority, so if you feel one is treating you unfairly you may consult the other and see if you’re definitely in the wrong, or if something needs to be worked out.
Okay, enough with the introduction, onto the really important stuff!

Dash Myoku: Ok, here we are. You guys got new RP Keepers and what comes with that deal? Easier rules to understand and...uh, a jolly good time? xP Four: To the readers bothering to have a look at this--you guys and gals have my deepest thanks. Let's begin, shall we?
Rule #1 – Legends Only Dash Myoku: Legends fan site, Mega Man Legends RPs only. This is MMLS, ya know. Four: Right, Mega Man Legends characters and original characters related to this particular dimension only, okay?
Rule #2 – Character Approval Dash Myoku: Check with the creator of a particular RP (the one you want to join) if you wish to use a character from the game(s). Four: Fan-made characters first have to be approved by one of us RP Keepers. Dash Myoku: Post your character’s profile in the appropriate thread and we'll either approve it, or tell you some changes that should be made.
Rule #3 – No Godmodding Four: Godmodding of course, isn't allowed. It's basically cheating, and we wouldn't want that, right? For example; beating the snot out of another character without even giving them the chance to fight back. Also, altering the course of the setting's storyline is also forbidden unless everyone agrees upon it (altering a particular character's storyline that isn't yours would only require his/her owner's approval). Dash Myoku: Godmodding also includes auto-hitting, invincibility, time jumping, controlling another’s character, and any other retarded things of the sort. Simply put, don't do them.
fab: Never forget that all regular rules of the Forums still apply, such as keeping your posts clean and the conversation friendly, etc. Failure to comply with the RP Keepers’ instructions may result in warning(s) and eventual ban from the RP section.

Rule #1 – Literacy Dash Myoku: Being literate can save lives...and the hassle of trying 2 unrstan dis sor fo l33tness. So, just type like you have a brain. I can understand a few typos here and there, no one's perfect (Thank Jeebus for the Modify button).
Rule #2 – Post Length Dash Myoku: Your post should be at least a Paragraph long...give or take a sentence. Four: Absolutely no one-line role play posts, and don't post anything painstakingly long. Some may like it that way, but you'll just confuse the ones that aren't so used to it, so be nice and prudent.
Rule #3 – In & Out of Character Dash Myoku: Out of character (OOC) conversations should not be made while posting in character (IC). Four: Place your OOC posts in their proper place. Every active RP should have a Discussion Thread in addition to the actual Role Playing Thread. If you really must say something while making a role playing post, then by all means go ahead but make it short and always make it clear that it is OOC text.
Rule #4 – Sharing Characters Dash Myoku: If you're playing a character from one of the games in one RP, be nice and let someone else play as that character in another.
Rule #5 – Watch & Learn Four: If you haven't had much or any experience concerning RPs, pay attention to the example of any decent RPer out there at the moment to get a feel for how things are done. You can always ask advice in the Discussion Thread as well if you are unsure how best to proceed.

Four: In addition to monitoring the RPs, we will also be the ones to review your fan made characters and RP ideas. If you keep it clean, organized and very believable in the MML setting, then you needn't worry.
Character Submission Form-- Name: Your character's name. Age: Your character's age. Personality: Go in depth about your character's personality. Description: Your character's physical description, in words. If you include a picture, be sure to write out a description as well. Role playing is about writing, after all, not art skills. History: A bit about your character's past goes here. Please note that it is not required to be tragic. Other: Anything else you wish to say about your character, such as his/her occupation, weapons, pets, whatever.
Dash Myoku: When you're finished filling this out, post it in the Original Character thread (unless your description contains important information which needs to remain secret from the other RPers, in which case send it through a PM). Either Four or I will read over it, point out anything that seems off and/or approve it. Keep in mind, the character should be made to fit in the Legends world. Four: Keep your fan made characters believable, and (hopefully) interesting. Add in as much as you like, but try to keep it simple enough, okay?
RP Submission Form-- Title: The title of your role play. Basic Plot Summary/Outline: Be as detailed as you need to be...but not too much. Please keep in mind that this is a role play, and things are not always going to stick to an exact plan. Setting/Time: Where does this story take place in relation to the Legends games? Does it take place in the Legends world or in an alternate world? Fan Characters: Allowed or not. If allowed, will there be a limited number of slots for them? If yes, include the slots in the character list below. As the Creator, you have a certain amount of control over which characters can participate in your role play. Please consider fan character participants on a first come, first served basis. However, if you feel a fan character does not fit into your story, you may reject the character or request that the character be modified to fit your story. Character Limit: Is there a limit on how many main characters an RPer can control? (NPCs and one time appearances are okay for everyone to control as needed.) Character List: Make a list of every role you plan to have in your RP. If you plan to have people RP groups of characters (ex. the Bonnes, all Servbots, etc.), then group them together below as well. Additional Rules: Any other rules you can think of. For example, "no killing."
Dash Myoku: This is the form to use when you want to submit a RP idea. Do not make a thread for your RP before you have approval for it. If you do, the thread will be deleted and you'll have to wait up to a week before you may submit the RP again, as a penalty.
Once you have filled this out, post it in the RP Approval thread. From there, you just have to play the waiting game. If your RP is approved, make a discussion thread first. It'll probably be a lot better if you get people to join first and then start the RP.
