According to the Mega Man Network (who got the news from the Playstation Blog), two Servbot avatars (one waving and one yelling) are available on the Playstation store for $0.49 (USD) each. Interesting, huh? What do you think- just hype-feed for Legends 3, or perhaps an indicator of something else? :E1:

Indeed. While nothing relevant, it shows that Capcom´s starting to move out of its Street Fighter- Dead Rising comfort zone for once- albeit, a inch. A few weeks ago, they put out some Ghouls n´Ghosts avatars on PSN. Other than baseless speculation for just for a quick fin, I hope we see more in the coming weeks: I would proudly wear a good Tiesel or Trigger avi, if those come down the line.

Am I missing the reason this couldn't be for the Dead Rising crowd? They're just Servbots, after all. Servbots are everywhere these days, but they're pretty recognizable from Dead Rising.. Although I can see what you're suggesting. That'd be cool if it were true. Foreshadowing? Let's hope so.

Well the official list calls it "Mega Man Legends 2 Avatars", so it seems like it might be official art from MML2. I'm thinking it has to be related to Legends 3 being made. Capcom USA probably approached PSN and offered it.

Ah yeah, I figured that might be it. I was thinking the Legends 2 categorization could just be for the sake of clarity. (i.e., to not upset people who might get angry if Servbots were wrongly categorized as Dead Rising characters)
Why would PSN be running these avatars to support Legends 3 which is for 3DS? That doesn't sound right. I think it might be a nod toward re-releasing the original games on PSN, if it's not just something for the Dead Rising crowd. (It's just a thought, of course)

Hah, the Hype Train stopped at PSN. XD Where to next? I've never used PSN before in my life, and I think I've touched a PS3 controller all of once...so I'm not sure how this sort of thing works. It's good to see Servbot avatars hitting the system, though. Legends is seriously making a comeback...any of you guys remember Mega Man Universe? I don't. Still, it does seem a bit odd that this is on PSN if Legends 3 is going to be on 3DS. The way I see it, either Capcom's going all-out to hype up Legends 3, or they're planning to put the first two games on PSN. I wonder if they ever did get around the red tape with the voice actors.

It's official, Capcom's hijacked the Hype Train! Maybe all my worries about a poor marketing repeat were for nothing after all... Huh, Data's ears look awfully small. Now I really want to see what they're going to do to Teisel. Hopefully he'll still be looking as gooooood as ever.

Capcom can have the Hype Train™, so long as they take it the hell away from here. (← teasing)I don't think this is new art, is it? o__O The Servbots weren't. Don't think I've seen these Datas on Legends Station, but I think I've seen them before. They're filed under Legends 2, so I'm gonna venture that that's what they're from. (You can find some art of Data with small ears, about the same size, on Legends Station actually — not these actual pics, though...) (If they're new, they're going in my mml3 folder. :3)

Well, they've added a couple more Legends avatars. Another Servbot and another Data.. Not the most interesting thing in the world. I'm really starting to wonder if maybe these really are meant to hint at something. And I'm starting to wonder if these Legends 2 avatars will ever be of anything other than Servbots and Data. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I bought the Servbot throwing Paper Plane avatar. A large amount of my PSN friends (all from the backloggery) also have servbot avatars. We're basically calling it Operation "Take over PSN, for Ms. Tron!" MML is quite popular on the Backloggery. I'm hoping that we get more than just Servbots and Data tho, I want a Tron avatar! nerdmccloud: PSOne Classics are not updated at all when they're released on the PSN. They literally take the ROM image out of the PS1 disc and put it on PSN. The PS3 then runs it on a PS1 emulator software inside the system. This is why certain games that don't emulate well (like MoTB) will never be released on PSN, cause Sony nor the developer touches the code at all. Basically, they're re-releasing a PS1 CD for a budget price of $5.99-$9.99 that you don't physically own. The only games that are getting updated graphics released on PSN are PS2 games. And even then that's only making it widescreen and applying anti-aliasing, with mild improvements to textures.

I bought the waving servbot, but my girlfriend was putting amazing pressure on me to buy Data, but she doesn't like Legends so she doesn't get a say.
