@green: (Re:"The Dark Lord of the Ruined Country") I remember reading that. Funny. It actually sounds similar to a story by Osmau Tezuka though, so it's more likely someone was trying to homage something from their childhood...while drunk. It's a cool-sounding title regardless.

What's interesting is the source. (Hideki Kamiya) And the source of the source. (drunkenness) Makes me think a bit less of Kamiya's recent Twitters, although I suppose it was nine years ago that this happened, so who knows?

I guess you couldn't really tell unless you were bilingual in English and Japanese. Drunken tweets are usually pretty easy to spot since they're usually made from mobile devices with smaller keyboards...but if you don't speak the languages in the posts, you can't gauge it from the typos. And, naturally, there are some people who just type poorly even when sober. Cross-cultural typalizer tests aside, in the words of my second choir director, "If you make a mistake, then fine. Make the mistake and move on. But if you make the same mistake twice, then you're either lazy or stupid...so, Dashe, which is it?!" -Awkward silence as Dashe remembers she's on the message board where, according to her own timeline of events, a handful of the population finds reason to believe Legends 3 is in the works at least once a year, if not more- Errrrr...both. So yeah, I don't think even if Kamiya were the one who got drunk and slipped a title the first time, that he'd do it again. Plus, he's got Kawano's backing on this, too. EDIT: Did some more digging on this, and it popped up at Protodude's too...though one of the commentators chalked it up to Hideki Ishikawa instead of Hideki Kamiya...and it wouldn't surprise me at all if there were other Hidekis on the DASH team back in '01 as well. I guess the only way to know for sure is to find the original Japanese blog post and attach a surname to it.

You know, you may have something there. Perhaps I should've read the article Chiz linked, since it only mentions the name Hideki. A quick glance at the MegaMan Legends 2 credits on the main site does mention two people named Hideki on the team: HIDEKI OKUKAWA (possibly a typo for OKUGAWA, based on Google results) and HIDEKI ISHIKAWA. So err, Chiz, I'm guessing you may've jumped the gun attributing that to Hideki Kamiya? EDIT: Just noticed all the other stuff you've added since last night. Wow. o__o

So err, Chiz, I'm guessing you may've jumped the gun attributing that to Hideki Kamiya? Yeah, I jumped the gun a little bit; I googled 'Capcom Hideki' and Hideki Kamiya was the most visible result. Didn't realize the name 'Hideki' is about as rare as 'Jim'. EDIT: I found the original post, announcing Dark Lord.. It's from "Designer of characters and some content is Hideki", which in the MML2 credits on the main site, 'Character Design' is listed as "HIDEKI ISHIKAWA". So Hideki Ishikawa is our mischievous employee, not Hideki Kamiya. My bad.

Also Hideki Kamiya doesn't work for Capcom anymore, does he?
First speculation: MegaMan Juno is out for REVENGE!

No dubt about it. We just need to know who's heading up visual design (and if Hideki is returning as illustrator), and who'll be making the music. With that, we'll be ready to DASH!

Mr.Famous is on board? Awesome. I like how he touted his experience on those stages in MML2. Well, except for Nino Ruins. I think we can forgive him for that though.
Edit: Oh, I just noticed Eguchi had already commented in the original MML3P Announcement post after I read it. So that bit isn't news. In fact, I can't discern what in that post counts as news if Eguchi's involvement was already known...
