Personally, I'd love a new, MML game for the PS2.
Although, an english adaptation of the manga would be great as well!
Hooray for first post!

I would love to see both an anime cartoon and game come out, but if I had to choose between and anime and a game, its game for me.

An anime? That would be nice, but really, do we want it marketed on that scale? Let’s say it does well. All of a sudden, we have a movie, then a toy deal, then fan work coming out of every crevice of the civilized world, with every child railing for more, and more, and more. Soon, the entire thing is monopolizing the anime market, everything is blown out of proportion by a flood of propaganda over-hyping, and we no longer have the humble game that we once had, but a cash cow being milked for every last drop by some big-name videogame/anime company that will have bought out Capcom by that time. Before we know it, they’ll have a live-action film with an ad during every other commercial break and people publishing novels based on the screenplay. Soon, every last facet of creativity is exploited, the original story becomes lost and distorted, they start recycling old concepts so as to continue their marketing spree, and there are people dressed as the Bonnes robbing banks in downtown LA with a giant jumping crab robot and a guy who looks like the Master running for president.
Perhaps it will not go that far exactly, but we must consider the possibility. All in all, I’m against it becoming an anime. The game is not only the most likely to be produced, but is the best thing that could be produced for the series, as compared to an anime or manga. There are gag manga and doujinshi, like the one that the fellow on the first page posted, but those aren’t heavily marketed, so they don’t count.

I would enjoy a short manga, if anything. Maybe a short anime, that shows the days of the System. But that could never happen. Short manga maybe.
But ultimately, I think Legends three should be nothing but a game. Maybe put out a short manga series that runs alongside the games. Maybe it could tell what happened in the year or so between one and two. Where 'Joe' went. Or where the hell Yuna went after Forbidden Island, for that matter. Show some more Bonne meetings. Or what Yuna Sera and Trigger do to pass time in Elysium. Ya know. Something that just exists to cover the little things left out in the games. Something like that.

I agree with Pitch. I like anime, but if they made one, they would probably leave out the creamy filling that manga gives. So game and manga, but a longer one.

How about all 3?
No, but being realistic, Kenji Inafune loves MML the GAME, and he is in charge of how it is released.
I personally would like to see the game the most, simply because the former MMLs were games, and that is what I grew to love.

I agree with you on that. I miss playing Legends... But I most certainly don't want to see all three... Man, that would be just terrible. In fact, I don't wanna see ANY anime AT ALL. No way. Because then it's gunna have to go the route of the EXE anime... Legends anime = good. Legends anime that has to be dragged out so long to a point that it completely DESTROYS the entire CONCEPT of Legends = really frickin' terrible. Like I said before, keep it simple. A game, maybe a short manga, but NOT TOO MUCH. Hell I think maybe half the reason we all like Legends is because Capcom isn't doing anything with it.

How about a game with anime cutscenes!!! That would be stinking sweet! I want that done.

So basically the game like it is, but rather than cutscenes with the game's 3D models, anime styled scenes - X4 style? That could work. I'd just hope they could get the voice cast...
And maybe still run a short manga. A DASH manga couldn't be not cool. But overdoing it wouldn't be good.

Christopher Le could be a voice of a Elder. He is awesome! 'Nuff said.

Anime sequences are nice and all, but overall, I’d rather them stick with the tried and true method of animating the 3D models and giving them the pixel-face effect. The way they do their cut-scenes in Legends is almost trademark. I’d hate to lose it.
They did use anime sequences in NamcoxCapcom, but that was probably just to conform to the style of the rest of the game.
Also, this post completely disregards MoTB. So there.

There definitely is a certain charm to Legends' cutscenes. I seriously doubt that Legends is the only game bearing that style of cutscenes though - although since I don't have any kind of gaming budget, I can't back that with any actual fact.
Gee, now I don't know which I'd prefer. Anime cutscenes would be - in my opinion - satisfying enough as far as a Legends anime goes. But certainly don't want the games to lose their charm. I dunno, though, there've been games that really pulled off the anime cutscene thing well - Lunar Silver Star Story Complete comes to mind. I think if they could do a good enough job on the cutscenes, that it would make up for the lack of Legends-esque scenes. Just maybe.

Maybe they could make it a opition to choose a type of cutscene. I wouldn't want a charm a lost either. Just a idea to hopefully please those that argue. Coarse that most likely impossiple. Maybe in the game in the Flutters living room you could wathch anime of MM games or Resident Evil or other stuff. And a radio that plays songs by bands such as Evaneseance, America, The Offspring, Boston, and etc.

The television seems plausible, but the radio is silly. They would never record American bands into the game just to appease to the western audience. If there were a radio, it would have to play some part in the game, perhaps by providing clues and hints. The idea of options would be a nice addition, but unfortunately, it’s another thing I can never see any game having. Between anime and model cutscenes, a huge amount of disk space would be taken up. Not to mention it would be a fair bit of work that would be considered needless by the manufacturer. Perhaps such an option could be applied to older games, such as the first and second Legends, what with the next generation of consoles right around the bend, but most certainly not in a newer one. At least, not if Legends 3 will live up to the hype that I’ve created in my own mind.
