Huh? You mean to tell me that I’m only mentioned because my name sounds like JMC’s? Such cruelty. You could have kept from giving me the impression that I meant something around here in the fist place. The disillusionment is always a rough fall. Besides, it’s not our fault that we both have such great taste in screen names. Ah well, I suppose this is a discussion made for the older members, be it not? I have no business replying to something I have no knowledge of. But I thought I’d make one anyway, since I was mentioned. It’d be bad form to not reply when one is mentioned.
So, eh... yippeekaiyay and all that. Happy posting gents.

I should pay more attention in my posts. Anyway, I didn't mean to offend you pitch.
I never knew that there was so much behind the forum action. So much I did not know about...

WAKALAKALAKALAKA
Anyways, just a few words from myself.
I myself am new here, so I don't know who half those people are.
But, this sorta thing happens. People have lives to take care of, ya know? That and certian circumstances aren't always as allowing as people'd like them to be.
And with those words...*drinks a 2-Liter of Dr.Pepper, get's a caffiene rush, and robs a bank with a rhino beetle and a dung beetle, then get's involved in a high speed chase inside of a power wheels jeep and rides off into the sunset of Mexico.*

Bureaucr...erm...Pirate Petey...are you implying that I don't post? I may not automatically reply to every thread I see like Pitch does, but for the love of cheese, at least I'm still here! (Then again, I haven't replied to this thread till now, except I didn't go online yesterday, and you know how these things go...yeah, excuses, excuses, right?) While I do miss the good old halcyon days of yore (ok bad pun ), these days aren't so bad either. We've got a couple of newer people who know how to spell and properly post in complete sentences, and even though things are different, it isn't bad, per se. Just...different. To be honest, I don't exactly remember most of the old days cause I was always leaving and coming back...

I should pay more attention in my posts. Anyway, I didn't mean to offend you pitch. I'm not offended, I just been trying extra hard NOT to spam and get into trouble because I know I post a lot here, and it's bound to happen and I thought that everyone else thought that I was a spammer which I DON'T WANT TO BE. Worried, is more like it. Thought I was in trouble or something like that. Anyway, I kinda like the fact that more and more people are showing up, not posting as some may be, it means there's gotta be more fans of the series out there. And we've been saying it for months and months now, but maybe with all this DASH related shtuff, the possibility of our seeing a DASH3 isn't so far off. I definitely miss the old people, though. I remember when I was new here, I read this cool post by this guy... I think his name was Blyka? I wonder what happened to him...

I was actually surprised by that too. She's a great mod (*cough*I'masuckupI'lladmitit*cough*), but that just kinda came outta no where. Of course, so did fab's "disappearence(I see you here everyday fab! You're not fooling anyone! ) Again, he ain't foolin' me. Posting or not posting I don't think a day's gone by when I didn't see him here. Of course, he ain't runnin the site which is kinda unphun cuz there's not another good Legends site on the net... PMM's good for info though.. I guess. This from the guy who told everyone he was going away for awhile, but continued to not only visit the forums frequently (in invisible mode - yes, staff see all!), but continued to post as well?! I on the other hand, did say that I wouldn't be disappearing completely, that you'd still see me around. As a matter of fact I have visited the forums every day, a few times each day in fact. I'm usually just checking on a particular little detail though, and my average stay is about 45 seconds, unless I happen to leave the window sitting there as I'm working on something else. *shrugs* Other than caption judging and replying to a few PMs, this is my first time actually looking around the place! Go me! Okay, so now to get on topic... Yeah, I think it can be said for every online hangout of any size, sooner or later people break away, wander off, or just lose interest in the fun of posting, if not in the fandom/whatever. Of course there are plenty of other reasons people disappear - loss of Internet access, personal disputes with other members, being banned for rulebreaking, etc. - but they all add up to the scenario which every place (that lasts long enough to) reaches, where the remaining old-timers sit around talkin' 'bout the good ol' days. *rocks back and forth on the old, creaky front porch* The memories around here are indeed rich, and I'll admit I'm as guilty as the next when it comes to latching on to what's left of the old crew, or missing those who've gone away... But the fact is that everyone who was around back then was new at the time, just like the new(er)comers are new now. I in no way mean to play favorites here but just as an example, mltmlt22 (considered to be of the "new lot") has already worked his way into the heart of this place and left his unforgettable mark. Others have too, and so shall even more continue to do so in time. It's the natural evolution of a place. As Dashe said: ...even though things are different, it isn't bad, per se. Just...different. I miss my childhood days, but that doesn't mean I'm not happy with who I am now and where my life stands. It's different. So let us embrace the constant change and continue to keep the old spirit alive, while the newcomers help us fill in the gaps left by the older members who have drifted away. ...maybe I'm getting a bit mellodramatic here...Well, I guess that's about all I have to say for now... Give me another week or so, Pirate Petey 1-3. Mid-October I'll change my name and avatar for Halloween as well, matey!

I said I'd be out of town, but I did mention trying to find access to the internet if at all possible, iirc. *cough**cough* And I happened to find said access(in a multitude of places actually... I was surprised. Leeching off wifi is so friggen easy...). And even then my online time was... oh, what did I say it was? 1/ 60th of my usual online time? I was invisible because I didn't want anyone to see me and PM me because it may've been days till I could reply(believe it or not, my parents aren't so keen on the idea of sitting outside in a parking lot, doing nothing, while I leech off the hotel's, IGA's, McDonalds's, the bank's, or whatever that one wifi source that seems to run through the whole town was's WiFi)

I wasn't talking about when you went out of town, I was referring to later on when you left a message in your sig and stuff saying you wouldn't be around so much. Doesn't matter though, I was only joking around, no need for a lengthy debate now, is there?

Aww shoot dude, I've done that zillions of times by now, and believe me, when I do I'm here a lot less. I'm "gone" right now(and no I didn't just put that in my sig).
Yeah, and I forgot to say before
Amen to that x2

Yes Change is Change... whatever that means. I think I'll grow up to be a philosopher *.*
AAAARRRRGGGHHH!
I have to congratulate you fab, you... you put that so well... *wipes away a single tear from eye* And to think. Here I was reading a post when all of the sudden all the hair on the back of my neck flew up like somebody had just clawed a chalkboard.
WE'RE NOT THAT OLD!
Then again I wouldn't be this perterbed if there wasn't some truth to that. Not to mention this chair squeeks when you lean back in it. *shudders*
My question wasn't, is this normal, of course people go their seperate ways, my question was, what happened, was a it particular point where everything started going down hill, or was the lifeblood of this site indellibly connected to the activity of the Drabbles, which couln't be true since life goes on apparently... mysteriously... infuriatingly... Was that last on over the top?
Hey you, Dashe. No I wasn't insinuating that you didn't post enough, I didn't register you as 'gone, actually I registered you as a mod, therefore a hopeless case becasue we all know mods [COMMENT DELETED].
I'm glad we understand each other.
Maybe this forum would have collapsed upon it'self, or MAYBE it actually did, but Pitch was here to keep building on top of the rubble and nobody noticed... Pitch your too cool for words. Then agian the theory hasn't been proven, but jumping to conclusions is fun, isn't it?
BTW, yes mltmlt22 has made a mark, but has he gone through the right of initiation to become one of, or as good as the old members yet? Quick! To the plain of ascension!

Hmmmm.... ....I'm beginning to wonder if Pirate Petey isn't an older member with a name change. 'Cause, y'know, there weren't many members around when the link to 'argue the world' was posted. Unless he went back and read it... But his post count is too high to be a newer member... ...and I'm rambling again, I guess. I've taken to randomly popping up for a day or two and then disappearing again lately. And I've been taking a break from a few forums because I'm trying really, really hard to learn how to not go psychotic and flame peoples' faces off on occasion... ...and failing miserably at it.

Yar, for the love of Glory, I was here when SIMSteven be gettin' his punishment, and all I says is he earned it, but he used to be a big shot in these waters, there be no denyin' that. ahem... You didn't like GustaffGlyde? Condecending? OH MY GOSH! Pharaohman when did you get your sheilds? This isn't happening, this isn't happening! You can't be law! Man, you're one of the old crew, your... wait, I seem to remember something about it from before now... okay, you're still cool, but I'm watching you... O.O Pollymonk was fine, but she was a brit, and sometimes it got a little confusing, though the only reason I didn't list her was because she wasn't one of the old group that for those three or four golden months posted religously, she came and went I recall. Shelldragon and I are right goodfellows... of different families. She started a little site called argue the world, I went over because that was back when we were both on 'good' terms. Then the posting started. I was the conservative B@stard, she was the liberal B@stard and we just had at it. Me versus her and the livejournal losers, you want to see condescending go look at some of those posts, I couldn't contain myself. How many times have I harsly brought politics up around here, but when the subject is around I have a lot of words to spew. Finally I thought the site was dead so my condensatoin outdid itself and I posted something about how I'd finish the arguments for another thread since the whole site seemed dead. She returned post haste with a 'thank you Ahole' message, and whined that she hadn't made a double, or I think it was triple posting clause in her rules so she could ban me on the spot. I was disapointed. So I laughed with the punch, left the site and never looked back. If Shelldragon ever does return, more power to her, however forgive me if my temperment is not one of goodfeelings toward her. I wonder if that pathetic site is truly dead yet... Pathetic because only Livejournal Losers were 'lurking' around there, and when they did post it was only to agree for the most part with their rediculous conclusions and/or each other. There was a brit who hated America, he posted three or four times on something, but I was the conservative that fended them off a week or two, pumped some life in there. It's to bad fending of pluralist rubbish isn't something you can put on your resume.Don't read that. I guess I had to read it eh? Hmm you still care about that? I also didn't ban you but you made me realize I needed rules. You can say whatever you want about your subject but don't go insulting me about it. That's where you crossed the line. That's why I stopped talking to you. The livejournal group never made it off the ground but I wasn't really intending it to be super great. It was more for users to use if they felt like it. Don't worry, I dislike you too but not because of your views but for your blatent disrespect of me. Once you decided to pull that I decided to respond accordingly. As for the forums, I stopped visiting because it got boring. Nothing really new. I thought I'd poke my head around and see what was new. I do have new contributions to make to launch the draches however. Hopefully that can get up sometime.

First and foremost, I think you guys are right. The forum change was a natural occurrence, and wanting the good old days back I like hoping for a snowstorm in the sierra. When you really think about it there's no harm in hoping, but don't expect it, and if you're really smart don't wish for it, but you can still hope. I guess that answered my last question, and when Halloween rolls around I'll be on my merry way, things to do you know, but we had some great times didn't we? The first half of the corrupt wish thread, the election thread, the Demoni thread flop, that one time the welcome dragon went out of control and ate half of San Francisco. Now he's an Alternative Dragon. I don't even like thinking about it. But as goes fab so goes MMLS. I don't think I'll delete my account, since I do have some letters that I may as well hold onto, and I know you're all holding back the tears (at the thought of me not doing this six months ago) but here's looking at y'all. J,SIG Exemplary JSM BTW SDA
You're a very interesting person, you know. Banning me would have been more civil than what you actually did, however I stand by my claim, a go nowhere, be nothing forum that only a livejournalloser could love. You make laugh. Ha. Ha-ha. Ha-hoo… Yeah, something like that.
No, you didn't have to read it. Trust me on this. I was just explaining how we got on each other's bad side to members who had no idea how it happened, and I shrunk it so that it wasn't something anybody passing by would mistake for a funny story (Or at least something that makes non-objective observers laugh since we sure made a joke out of it *wink*), and as for my disrespect, I wouldn't call it an antithesis of respect so much as a lack thereof. In other words you are the kind of American that makes me sick to my stomach shelldragon. I don't like FG or BRG's politics too much, but they aren't spectacular specimens of the blame America first crowd, or muslim loving know-nothings. I don't hate the muslim world but you sure managed to take every non-complimentary thing I said about it the wrong way, and your friends for that matter.
I wouldn't hold that post against you, we don't like each other, big deal, but that belongs in a PM, where we can debate on who thinks who did what. You didn't even address the basis of the thread, something that seemed to get you so angry in the last thread we both participated in (you stinking hypocrite). And if you think my original teletype story belongs in a PM then says so and I'll remove it, anybody who cares has read it, and I'm betting concerned people are numbered somewhere between zero and three, so don't worry about the joint reputation. That goes for this post as well, of course. Now, as for it, I've show equal or greater respect for you in leaving your site and never rearing my ugly head again, so on this note, for the sake of the peace, lets just play the whole pretending each other doesn't exist game, because you know I'm never going to respect you, and I don't care what you think of me. It's the logical thing to do. Cheers. Now that that's agreed you can go [CENSORED] (starts with a B) to all your petty liberal friends about what an [CENSORED] (starts with an A end with a hole) I am because you apparently don't have anything better to do.

Ah, how nice it is to have good, old members reappear out of nowhere and... !! That aside, are we to take this as you passing out of our lives forever, BM1-3? Quite a sad thought indeed... If an old-time member who hopes for a revival of the old days isn't willing to stick around and help move things in that direction, then who can we count on? In any case, it will certainly be a sad thought to know your disappearance is final rather than just indefinite. Please don't delete your account, as it would be nice to at least believe that maybe you'll stop in again someday (not to mention, looking at 600+ guest posts in old threads would get annoying). But MMLS hasn't gone, and fab will be coming back... I can't make any guarantees as to how the flow of things will take shape here at the forums, but I intend to revive the main site to even greater heights upon my official return.
