Have you ever done something so stupid that it made you facepalm at your OWN idiocy?
My most recent one was today. I spent something like 10 minutes trying to find out what company SNK vs Capcom was from. =_=;

Seems like an OK question. It's either SNK or Capcom, but you don't necessarily know which... o.o

Yeah, but I didn't think of either one of those. Thus, stupid.

Right before a camping excursion last January, I sent the chap organizing it an e-mail saying that I planned on bringing marshmallows to roast but couldn't find the sticks at the grocery store and needed to know where I could buy some. He didn't e-mail me back, but when I got there he'd carved me a few and then proceeded to laugh at me until I told him I've never lived in camping territory before. And then he laughed harder.
Sadly enough, I still have the sticks and roast marshmallows better than he does.

Both might contribute but I think in this case more of it came from SNK. I may be mistaken, though.

mine: not my most recent but defintiely a facepalmer,
i had gone to a family memebr's 50th aniversary party, and well, i made a mistake in saying something:
they were taking forever to bring food out and i had ordered chicken and my grandpa had order beef, he asked "did the have to kill the cow or something?" i said in reply a pretty dirty line not even thinking....(involved choking what i was eating) and my mother said, "A.t watch what you say..."
man i was beat read and probably kept my mouth shut the rest of the wait for our food
(i said i -------bad------- line, yeah, -that- bad)

Being a moron to a girl in 3rd-5th grade that liked me, when I liked her. Worst part is I'm still crazy about her (going into 8th grade, I am). Derp. Er, disregarding that comment, my stupidest thing I've done recently was talking to a friend who was playing COD 2 (WWII), and asking him if he was using a sniper rifle or an assault rifle (I know next to nothing about WWII). Turns out, almost all guns in WWII that infantry used were just Rifles. Not Sniper, not assault, but Rifle.

My most recent faceslap? I was fixing a friend's xbox 360 (rrod). The fix involves overheating a certain component without harming the others which involves repositioning the fan and running the system with the case open. Anyways, I picked up the moving fan and accidentally sliced my fingers open. 'Course I didn't realize the fan had actually drawn blood until after my facepalm. Best part is that it was a bit of a demonstration and a bunch of high school freshmen got to see me be an idiot.

Meh, you're right, it is a pretty stupid thing for me to be all upset over. That stinks about the 360 though, especially since it was in public.

Ah, it wasn't so bad. I wrapped my hand in a paper towel and finished the repair because I was time limited. They thought I was pretty cool when it worked.

Hmm... can't think of anything right now...
Except when I'm playing MMZX and I go to a boss fight, then I try to recharge my health and keep pressing in the Subtanks when they are empty, only realised that they are empty after more than 10 button pressing...

This one time I made a really stupid animated gif that apparently spread across the internet...

Cut out the "that liked me" part, and you've got the story of my life right there. I remember this one time, I got it into my head that it would be cool to have a decent speaker system in my room for watching movies and playing games and such. But instead of actually buying a speaker system, I decided I'd rather just mount my crummy computer speakers up near the ceiling and pretend. So I bought myself a plank of wood and a couple of nails, put up a little shelf as high as I could, and got my speakers set up on it. Turned the volume up and started playing anything I had on hand just to try them out. I thought it was hot stuff. Took me all of a week to trip over a wire and send them flying down onto my laptop. The speakers survived, but the laptop didn't. I am curious about that animated gif...

This is probably the first time I've seen people use the strikethrough, have I started a trend? On Topic, I seem to do stupid stuff a lot. Especially when I'm around that girl I mentioned, now its just me doing stupid things like tripping. Head over heals, as it were... Alright, that's the last time I'll use strikethrough in this topic. Anyhow, my most recent fails have been lapses in memory, someone tells me to do something and I forget it.
