I just recently get RMD2 and i started playing it, at first, i thought the only difference was the language, but i founded some others differences: First, the little cute bunnies in yosyonke are furious beast in the japanese version, as you read, they attack you and Roll, if you happen to touch them, they throw you away!!! The flutter´s doors have the names: ROCK, ROLL and BAREL. Rock refers to Gramps as "hakase" which means professor. Bluecher is named "Myuraa" i think it´s equal is Muller. Klaymoor´s name is "Bankoskus" The Galgalfummi can´t be hitted with the drill arm while is standing. Gatz is named "Gaga", Geetz is "Jiji" [Edit] Here are some images: Mad bunnies. i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo199/Rockman_Striker/rmd2bunny.jpgDoors. i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo199/Rockman_Striker/rmd2doors.jpgBarrel`s blackboard, i think it has a different drawing. i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo199/Rockman_Striker/rmd2barrelroom.jpgGoddesses statue, what takes my attention on this one is what says about it, what does that numbers means? anyone who can translate it, post it please. i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo199/Rockman_Striker/rmd2godess.jpg

Double-posting, sorry but how will i get your attention? Maybe you already knew all i posted before, i thought i had to post it because i never readed about this changes in RMD2 (just in RMD) And i founded another funny thing. Did you seen this reaverbot here before? i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo199/Rockman_Striker/nino3.jpgAnd they are in another room: i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo199/Rockman_Striker/nino5.jpgYes, they putted this ones in the room before the mandomantal`s room, have you ever wondered why you can jump on his back? i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo199/Rockman_Striker/nino6.jpgThat`s because you can use them like mandomantal, to reach the treasures chests. ;D Also, they do that torpedo attack often, and it`s a lot hard to dodge (without rolling, of course). And there aren`t real fishes in any room, which confuses me because Capcom America get offended about RMD animal "abuse", and in English version you can shoot that fishes. [noted]

That makes way more sense out of Norieibi. The western release of the game has no actual reason for the ridable platforms on their backs. Now I know why. I feel like I own an inferior version of this game now. We've been jipped.

I didn't notice the edits so I guess you did need to double post.
Pretty sure Barrel's board has the same drawing in both versions.
As for the writing on the statue, it says "It's a big goddess statue. There is 1 body with 2 faces."

Double-posting, sorry but how will i get your attention?
For future reference, you can always edit your post, copy it, delete your original post, and re-post again. It's not a technique you go around abusing, but in cases like this it's pretty much a necessity. TBPH, I didn't even know this topic existed, and I (or anyone else for that matter) wouldn't have noticed the rather interesting information you posted. As far as the topic itself goes, the JP Norieibi placement makes a lot of sense. I've always wondered why they would place chests in those wall inserts like that, but now I know why. It's possible that the fish were added to the American version to add a sense of atmosphere (which it did), although the fish are far more deserving of being shot than any animal in the series, possibly barring the crazy rabbits you mentioned in the first post. They'll actually charge at you with no provocation at all--I've actually been killed by one when I was running around with red health in Mandomantal's room. BTW, can you clarify what you mean when you say the rabbits "throw you away"? Reading that makes me picture them chucking you Lifter-style, but I'm sure that's not the case (or is it?).

I just founded some fishes after i posted this, in mandomantal´s room and the other one filled with Miitans (i like to call them "kamikaze") and yes, they attack you too just for "fun". The reaction when shooting them is the same, they float up, and then they get conscious again.
;D Pretty funny if you imagine that, i was meaning they just knock you down, but lifting you and throwing you at the river would be very hilarious! I don´t know why i thought it says other thing. I still don´t understand the existence of that fox, i thought that something would happen if you throw them at him, (like the fox eating rabbits, maybe? ) but nothing happened. Also, the easy level is like normal difficulty in Usa version, the japanese people like real challenges! [Edit] I was messing with the cute assassins rabbits, and i discovered something else, if you shoot them repeatedly, they will die (only disappear) and let a big energy cube, but, of course, you´ll get darker with every shoot. i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo199/Rockman_Striker/RMD2bunnyhunt.jpgP.S. Is it fine this way Buster Cannon? ;D

First they turn you black for recycling, and now for self-defense? Man, being a good boy can be tough at times.
Very interesting stuff. I wonder if there are any major differences in the Japanese text.

One difference in script I know of offhand is that any time you hear "pizza" in the english version (Bruno intro in MML1, Data burning down the Flutter in MML2) it was originally takoyaki, an octopus-based food that's pretty big in Japan. You know how it is, it makes sense to keep references like that relatable to the western audience.
"Boy I sure am glad we stopped for hot dogs!" "Yes. And these flavor sticks really add to the taste!"

Is it strange that when you mention cake-balls made of mashed octopus and fish shavings I feel nothing, but you mention hot dogs and I wanna vomit? Pretty cool. You are forgetting the porno mag, though ( among other things, I'm willing to bet).

the porn mag is specific to MML1, isnt it? Or is there another I'm forgetting?

I think there's one in each game, actually, in some form or another. In MML2, there's the one you buy from the shady guy in Kimotoma, that you trade with the junk store owner in Yosyonke. (I think it was translated as Reaverbot Fossil or something like...) And in MoTB the Servbots occasionally find one. Err... [ Rated T for Teen]

If I remember correctly in the Japanese version, after Trigger defeats Tron's Yakuto Krabbe, Roll tells him that sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot) was for dinner. I don't remember if Roll mentioned that it was Trigger's favorite food.

Did she say pizza in the english version? I'll need to hunt down some videos to refresh myself. I distinctly remember Takoyaki/Pizza in the two examples I mentioned though. I think the apricot pie Roll mentions in the Lake Jyun ruins was the same in either language. Edit: Found some videos. You're right. After Jagd Krabbe Roll offers Rock's favorite sukiyaki, which also gets rendered as pizza in the english version. Megaman even comments that "it's been a while since we had that", which I doubt now since it looks like pizza is the only kind of food they have. Japanese Jagd Krabbe battle, sukiyaki at 1:50English Jagd Krabbe battle, pizza at 8:20 Japanese Bruno intro, takoyaki at 0:26 and 1:08.

To take it even further, after that Roll chimes in with: "I even managed to find some pepperoni!". I always thought it was kind of odd that pepperoni was regarded as being rare.
In MML2, there's the one you buy from the shady guy in Kimotoma, that you trade with the junk store owner in Yosyonke. (I think it was translated as Reaverbot Fossil or something like...) Yeah, the junk store owner hands you a free dirt magazine that was translated as "Reaverbot Claw". That item can be traded for a dirtier magazine that was translated over as "Reaverbot Eye". That item, of course, can be sold back to the junk store owner for a rather large sum of 300,000 zenny.
The rabbit thing is downright evil, though. I thought kicking Servbots for energy cubes in MML1 was mean, but killing rabbits for even larger energy cubes is just wrong.
P.S. Is it fine this way Buster Cannon? ;D Yeah, that's pretty much what I meant. ;D

Were you also able to kick and throw the pigs around at Shuu's place? I know you can in the Japanese version. It's devilishly hilarious. >.>
