W, huh? Tron didn't outsource their development to the Kattelox boathouse, did she?

The image (among other things) is actually inspired by a certain old Anime classic which made its way onto Cartoon Network around 2000.

Just finished this piece from a draft over the weekend. 4-5 tone shading is best shading.

What's this, cell phone wallpaper? Looks like it'd fit for that.

What's this, cell phone wallpaper? Looks like it'd fit for that. Never considered thar until you mentioned it... If anyone is interested, I could make a few quick variations.

That's pretty fantastic! I have no idea what kind of enemies would be in there, though. Unless the servbots all got some serious upgrades. That'd be cool.

I can see Miitans as Medusa heads, or Gorbeshus as Axe Knights. IT COULD WORK.

A better question would be how Reaverbots got into the Gesellschaft, I suppose. It's just horrifying enough to work.

They could be refashioned by Tron, I guess.
Also, then who is Alucard?

That would be Barrett... uh... or Glyde. Whichever works. Oh and There needs to be Death, right? I mean, it's obligatory!

As Rockman Striker posted in the Master System thread earlier, I would like to present the original version of the box art illustration! Concept & BackgroundThe original plan actually started several months ago, and after a long break I decided to kick myself into finishing it as promised. I first approached Rockman Striker with a concept cover which just consisted of a space background with Yuna and Sera back-to-back to give a bit of 'mirror' feel. Though it lacked the dramatic feel I believe he wanted (and what I probably preferred anyway) so he brought up some old concept work he did. I made a sketch of them and eventually put both together to form the basic posed image and went for it. One of the drafts also featured Elysium I believe, but it eventually got in the way so it was scrapped in favor of more Yuna (yes!). I redrew both Yuna and Sera from scratch (with a little help), and it came together pretty smoothly. Though I admit I had to compromise the hair glowing effects (as I imagine them, to help portray a more otherworldly image of them) a little so as to not saturate the image focus on details like their faces and other features. I eventually used different lighting methods when putting it together to give it a bit more depth (while at the same time trying not to obscure Yuna too much since I know Rockman Striker would not like that). Anyway! Overall I'm glad Rockman Striker liked it, and it has been an interesting experience for myself in producing this piece despite the severe schedule slip in the middle. What do you guys think?

I think having two Yunas and two Seras is misleading. For a minute I thought maybe TMS involved cloning the Mother Units, or maybe one of the Seras was secretly Trigger since nobody really knows what Trigger was supposed to look like. Geetz and Gatz in profile would've been cool.

I think the boxart turned out pretty awesome! I knew the Master System primarily revolved around Yuna and Sera, and I think they're portrayed nicely. I can't say I share the same thoughts as Dashe, although those thoughts are interesting. I agree that the empty space could have been used by Gatz and Geetz in a better manner, probably. You just don't see much artwork of either of those two much anymore.

For a minute I thought maybe TMS involved cloning the Mother Units, or maybe one of the Seras was secretly Trigger since nobody really knows what Trigger was supposed to look like. Never really thought of it that way since it's a pretty 'typical' placement with different-sizes for comparison. Thanks for bringing it up though, maybe I'll keep this in mind for the next piece. Maybe when a parody "enhanced rerelease" happens; maybe it'll be called "THE MEGA DRIVE"... I think the boxart turned out pretty awesome! I knew the Master System primarily revolved around Yuna and Sera, and I think they're portrayed nicely. I can't say I share the same thoughts as Dashe, although those thoughts are interesting. The main idea was to give the two plenty of focus, so I did not consider anything beyond featuring Yuna and Sera; introducing Elysium into the picture didn't mesh well to get the desired effect, so I guess we went for a more "Yuna and Sera Only" approach. I could definitely understand the added appeal of having more of the cast in a subtle manner though, so maybe next time! Or I can just 'fake' it and claim that the two are in the back cover... For the "Full Image" posted here? Definitely.
