Merry Christmas everyone. We decided to make a Christmas special, which escalated from something fairly simple into a major production. Kinda like this entire series. Anyway, after much work, it's done. And actually on Christmas to boot. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AleGybqKrO0That was hilarious! My favorite scenes were the opening ("do you still like christmas music for some reason?"), the entire Ackbar scene ("it's a trap!"), and then the party at the end ("darn it, stop moving!"). The cooking scene fell a bit flat, though. And the Misadventures of Tron Christmas could have been worked on a bit more, too. But what did work worked fantastically. Can't wait for the next episode!

Episode five is finally finished. Busy schedule + excessive perfectionism = slow. But, I think it turned alright. I hope you guys like it. =) Video hereI had originally intended to have the Gesselschaft battle in this episode, but it ended up going over ten minutes, so that will be episode six. I'll get that finished and online later tonight or tomorrow. I made a teaser video for it in the meantime. Why? Well, just watch it. I had to include that clip somewhere. Another videoThat was hilarious! Awesome, I'm glad to liked it. =) What do you think was wrong with the MOTB scene? Too short or just in need of overall improvement?

First off, new episode was great. The 8-bit section had me cracking up, and "Master System XP" was a stroke of genius. About the only thing I didn't care for was Roll hitting Megaman repeatedly with her wrench; it was good enough with her just hinting at throwing him into the machine, but then you went overboard.
Oh, the Trons Save Christmas segment. I understood what you were trying to do, but there weren't any real jokes. None that I laughed at, anyways.
Also, another episode tomorrow? Now I have something to look forward to!

Wow, those are some top-notch video editing skills you've got there. The classic MM thing you had going on was pretty priceless because there's a segment in MM9 just like that; you clear a bunch of dissapearing platforms and run right into a Met that pushes you onto a row of spikes.
The rimshot thing was pretty well done, and the Master System XP was pretty clever. Looking forward to the next one!

Thanks. =) I haven't played MM9 (yet), but it seemed like a situation any Classic Series fan could relate to. Glad both of you liked that scene and Master System XP. Those were both very fun to make.

Hmm, well I didn't enjoy that episode nearly as much as the last. The only parts I found funny were the beginning with the bird, Megaman questioning why they were flying so high up, and the ending where Megaman walks in on Roll. Oh, and the face book joke make me smile, and exploding Gesselschaft got a big laugh.
Other than that, there wasn't many jokes. It wasn't boring, but it was only mildly entertaining. I'm chalking this up to the fact that this was all supposed to be in the last episode, and then the second half or so was created quickly just so the episode could be up the day after the fifth.

I actually agree with you to some extent. After splitting them, this one came out feeling a bit weaker. I tried my best to improve it and made some pretty significant changes before finally releasing it, but in the end I just got to a point where I was feeling really burnt out and needed to just say "Good enough!" and finish. I don't like doing that, but it was starting to drive me crazy. I wish I could chalk it up to rushing, but that really wasn't an issue because these were done concurrently and (mostly) finished only a few days apart. In retrospect, It probably would have been better to completely finish and upload them at the same time. Oh well. Overall I'm happy with how it turned out. Glad you liked the jokes, though. =) Especially the explosion. It took me quite a while before I could watch that and not burst out laughing. And thanks koji45. Believe me, though, if I can become good at video editing, anyone can. =) Now to start on seven. There's that apprehensive feeling again.

Can't believe I haven't seen this 'til now. Hilarious stuff, Tau! As a beginner abridged series editor, I'm impressed! I'm going to major in film, so I would've made an abridged series of my own if I had any good jokes. Unfortunately, I don't. As for the censoring of cussing... It really depends. Sometimes something is funny when it's censored. Sometime it's funnier if it isn't. "Holy **** on a sandwich with **** on top and a side helping of ****!", for example, was awesome in Yugioh: The Abridged Series. Also, in littlkuriboh's Naruto Abridged, if he censored "Dude...you are a ninja!" "I am?! Holy $h1t that's awesome!", then it wouldn't have been as funny. Oh, and by the way, cuss words such as "$h1t" and "damn" are apparently now allowed in recent Teen rated games (see inFamous and the Uncharted series).

I noticed that $h1t had been creeping into Teen rated games lately. In fact, it was the two games you just mentioned that I noticed it in! Great games, those two. Need to finish my second play-through of iNfamous so I can get all the evil powers unlocked.
Oh, and "damn" is even allowed in E10+ games, so that's nothing new.

Hmm, well I didn't enjoy that episode nearly as much as the last. I actually agree with you to some extent. I disagree. Clearly these get better with each consecutive upload. Of course, I haven't watched them all through in one sitting, but I don't seem to remember your earlier work being as refined, or even your wit being this sharp. I'm not big into abridged stuff ( in fact, yours is the only series I bother to watch seeing as I can't stand anime), but I doubt anyone puts in quite the amount of effort you do what with the creative use of gamesharking n' stuff. Have you given any thought to doing MoTB or MML2? I mean, assuming you have the resources. Could be interesting, if this hasn't eaten a hole through your brains by now.

Not sure about MOTB yet, though I would like to if I can figure out a way to do it well. The video aspect of it may be a challenge.

Episode 7's online. This one was supposed to be a fairly simple episode. Mega Man goes into the Main Gate, encounters the Bonnes, and that's it. Nothing too major. The plan was to upload it on the 17th, and I had it all ready to go, but then I watched it and thought, "Wow, this could be so much better." So after some rewriting, rerecording, and lots of editing, here it is. I hope you enjoy it.

Like the new episode! My favorite part was at the very begining; "SELF DESTRUCTION INITIATED!!!" Other highlights were the exploding Bruno, E-M rating change, and "wrong trousers".
Series is almost over now, right? You've just got to get through the sub-cities (surprised you didn't make an economy joke about government subsidies), defeat neko eyes (err, Juno), and have your happy ending.

Good episode! ;D
I love how you kept poking fun at the Main Gate's decor (nice use of Clown Man!), as it really lacks the creepy feel that the other ruins in the game has. My personal favorite moment was that bleeped-out Tron swear; the part when the dog looks up cracks me up every time! Keep 'em coming!
