I actually think this reaver is good in concept if not in practice. The more traps in a ruin the better. It adds variety and makes it feel more dangerous. Maybe not fair, but are real booby traps fair? But I think maybe if they made a warning sound it would be better.

Maybe if there were a co-op multiplayer element where you could have a partner spot for you on something like a Wii U screen or a second 3DS or something, they could be able to tip you off as to their position and make your life a little easier. Or if there were a weapon like the Grand Grenade or something with a shockwave that could weed them out early so you're not forced to wonder until they actually trap you, it wouldn't be so bad. In a video game, a player encounters hazards that teach said player something about how to play the game. Take the Legends titles for example; - Trapped treasure chests (Mimics) teach you to be wary when opening them, adding an element of surprise to the game while not being overly punishing. - Certain reaverbots may be annoying, but learning how to deal with them makes the game easier while giving the player a sense of accomplishment. Here's the problem with Shoebafun; the only thing you really pick up is a habit of walking along the walls for the rest of the time you play Legends 2. There's no real reward for dodging them in time and they don't serve any purpose aside from just...sitting there (and making you sit with them). Having some sort of visual clue that they're around would be a positive change, so that you at least know when to be on guard against them. They had the right idea with the Bonne Encounter in Kimotoma City. There were landmines, but there were also floating warning signs letting the player know not to step in that general direction.

I think that if it had a distinct warning sound that allowed you to jump in the air and avoid it, it would be alot of fun. It would be exciting to be in the middle of a fight, hear that noise, and have to jump out of the way.
