Is there no one on this board, other than myself, still working on making any games, Megaman themed or otherwise? I know that before my extended absence there were several people on the board who knew stuff about Game Maker 7 (which I use) but now it seems that everyone either doesn't know anything about it (I made a topic about an issue with it that still has no replies , and yes I know the board is slow but not THAT slow) or hasn't seen fit to talk about it . So, anyone still here who is making games or could give me advice on mine when I am stuck?

I'm still working on my two fangames, Megaman ZX and Megaman Legends Past I just haven't updated them recently due to lack of ideas, I have the story I'm just out of Level design ideas and such a good amount of bugs were fixed though.

Nice, also what software do you use to make them? If there's anyone who uses game maker 7 I could use someone to assist me when I'm stuck trying to make something work, or vice versa

I'm using Game Maker 7.0 Pro, I'm still learning GML though so I doubt I could help much.
(Also I'm pretty sure the other fangames are still being worked on Although I don't know how often Chiz's Guide is being updated.)

I don't use the pro version cause it's really just about better graphics for the most part, although I can always buy it if I need it for something. I don't know tons of the different operations and variables but I know many of the ones that will be most useful and I'm generally good at picking up on coding/scripting commands, syntax, etc quickly, I've been doing some stuff with it so if you want any help in your scripts feel free to ask and I'll see if I can help. Speaking of which if you ever want something, such as a turret, to point at the location of something else I have a good code I figured out for it.
The script is in my gamemaker 7 script issue topic on the miscellaneous fan stuff forum. If you want me to go into more detail aobut how to do it I can give you that info too.

I've been using Game Maker 7 for awhile now. I haven't ever finished a game, but I've gotten a couple engines made, and I'm pretty proficient with it. What's your problem?

I already solved my CURRENT problem with game maker, I made a thread called gamemaker7 script issue, however I wanted to know if there was any point in posting the game maker stuff here since no one ever responded to it. Anyway if you want to know how to make an object point at another object (such as the mouse) I figured it out.

I've been thinking about making a game based on my stories but I can't find time to do anything anymore (not really it's just that I have to balance everything out)

Didn't Eric Chiz have a list of MML fangames somewhere? I'm not sure if it's recent, but It'll probably help. I forgot what section it was in, though. *Looks for it*

Here it is.The fangame scene hasn't been very active recently ( I blame this on a certain productive member getting banned a while ago), but Chiz is pretty good about keeping that list up to date anyway. And I'm sure you already know about Sky Pirate Arcade.

I know about what games are currently being worked on, however I'm asking more about who using game maker is active on the forum that I could ask for help with any problems I come across or for advice and vice versa. Also if anyone does have any current issues with game maker, needs some other sort of help with their game, or just wants to bounce some ideas off the community I guess they could post them here.

About the mouse thing, does the sprite itself rotate to face the mouse? Because I COULD use that. EDIT: ( I blame this on a certain productive member getting banned a while ago) Wait, who was this productive member that got banned?

The (now accomplished) objective behind creating the script was to get the actual sprite to point at the mouse: The script itself acquires the direction of the mouse in degrees relative to the object, note that the code can easily be altered to give the direction of anything with a tracked x,y position. To get the actual sprite to turn you first need to give the sprite a counterclockwise animation of 360 degrees (easy to do), the number 360 should be easily divisible by the number of frames you use (I used 180 for the frame number). After that you can use the variable it assigns to this direction in an action to change the image_index appropriately.
If you want the script I will place comments on it to make it easier to edit, also if anyone wants a step by step tutorial or anything like that I can easily write one up for you.
I've also used the direction in this code to make the rounds fired from a turret move and point in the proper direction and I can tell you how to do that too.

( I blame this on a certain productive member getting banned a while ago) Wait, who was this productive member that got banned? He's referring to Mir@k, who's (temporarily) banned for a while.
