Chiz's Comprehensive Poorly-Maintained Guide to MML Fangames
Just a note... to those making new threads, don't immediately tag them [ACTIVE] or [HIATUS] etc; the absence of this tag shows me that it still needs to be added. If you add this tag yourself, your game might be delayed getting on this list if I don't notice it =\
Brand-new foreword on the cusp of 2015! Apparently this is still a thing. A lot of links have gone dead over the years, and the table markup is atrocious! Looks like we're overdue for an overhaul of this post. Again.
Old forewords containing mission statements and other feel-good text:
Foreword from several months years ago: We're now approaching the one year mark for this list, so I felt it was time to clean things up and make sure everything was updated again. Numerous projects have come onto the scene since then, showing without a doubt that Legends fan community is alive and well, creating and sharing fan works to fill the void that 10 and a half years of waiting has made.
The ideas and stories here can be good starting points for those toying with the idea of getting into making a fangame. The most important thing to remember is to not be unrealistic - overambition kills projects all the time, and simple games are often just as fun as their longer counterparts and often have higher replayability.
As I've said before, this list is likely incomplete, as there are bound to be many projects outside of the watch of MMLS or MLU that are worked on. Once they're uncovered, they'll be added here. Also, again, a status of 'Unknown' means there's been no updates on the game for a while, or the game's maker is MIA; either way, after about 8-12 months, an 'Unknown' game is likely for all intents and purposes Dead.
Original Foreword, 2008-09-18: As of late, I've been thinking about fangames in general, and how we, as a community, have never really had much luck in producing fangames of any calibre...whereas with most of the other MegaMan subseries, there are numerous completed games (of various notability and quality).
Now, it's a myth that we don't try, and there is a long history of attempted projects that, by and large, never really got off the ground. The most successful of projects is of course the fab's Sky Arcade, which has thus far produced 4 active and healthy fangames. This isn't an attempt to depress anyone, but rather perhaps a call for more people to step up and actually make it to the point where we have something tangible, playable, and something that we as a community can use as a base to future our fandom exploits into the last and greatest frontier: interactivity.
I make no claims of completeness in regards to this table...if more games come up, I'll add them (eventually)...also, a note, 'unknown' for fate basically means that progress, status updates, or general discussion has largely ceased, or more commonly, the team working on the project has abandoned MMLS altogether. Any games last seen over 8 months ago with an 'unknown' fate...probably safe to say they're dead/discontinued/long forgotten about, but you never know.

Edit #4: Altered Trege's 1st project to 'Dead'; 3rd to 'Hiatus'.

Edit #10: Added 'MegaMan Digger', a new game part of the Sky Arcade. Was in an update on TMG a few days ago but since no one bothers to go to TMG (or the main site, for that matter) anymore, no one mentioned it. However, I saw it in passing and have added it.
Edit #11 [2008-11-25]: Fixed/clarified some of the credits for Sky Pirate Arcade projects. Figured it was easier than bugging you about it. ~fab
Edit #12 [2008-11-26]: Added a download column; Added download links for MML: RL, MMLEx, the 5 released Sky Pirate Arcade games, and MML Online. Contributions of a working mirror for the little-known-about 'Flying Flutter' would be greatly appreciated.
Edit #13 [2008-11-27]: Added '(Untitled Puzzle Game)' by Blyka, another game announced through the SPA news updates, and another game no one bothered to mention to me. Said puzzle game is going to be based off of Blyka's original but unreleased "Nazo Nazo" game, of which there's a screenshot on Blyka's webpage here. Apparently the game will be similar to Sokoban, but there may have been some additions/modifications/changes in both the original interpretation and the Legends-themed reworking.
Edit #14 [2008-12-05]: Altered Trege's 'MML Past' to '*Active' and added DL link to latest demo.
Edit #15 [2008-12-08]: Altered fab's 'MegaMan Digger' to '*Active', added link to new info page, and added DL link to latest demo.

Edit #17 [2009-01-19]: First edit of the new year! Added jericbryledy's 'Rockman DASH 3?', another rough 3D fangame.
Edit #18 [2009-01-21]: Altered In-Clover's 'Punkman Dash' to newer date (Jan 2008) and added DL link.
Edit #19 [2009-03-21]: Yes, this thread is still being updated! Altered Blyka's 'Unknown Puzzle Game' to 'Tuttle's Little 5-Island Adventure', changed status to '*Active', changed date to '2009-03', added download and info links.
Edit #20 [2009-04-18]: Added fab's "Sart Farm Stampede", status as "*Complete", date as '2009-04', added download and info links.
Edit #21 [2009-08-10]: New layout for list; Added fAB's 'Blumebear Great Escape'; Altered fAB's 'Blumebear Maze Craze' fate to 'Retooled'; DeltaTrigger7's 'MML-SEG' last seen time to 2008-12; Mir@k's 'Roll's Adventure' last seen time to 2008-11; InClover's 'PunkMan DASH' last seen time to 2009-05; Mir@k's 'Kick Paprika!' last seen time to 2009-08; Blyka's 'Tuttle Little 5-Island Adventure' last seen time to 2009-08; Removed expired download link for Hypershell's 'Reploid Legacy' (we really need a stable download for this thing); Removed expired download link for fAB's 'Blumebear Maze Craze'; Removed expired download link for InClover's 'PunkMan DASH'.
Edit #22 [2009-08-12]: Fixed all MMLS Forum links. I'll be adding the new projects tomorrow or sometime soon.

Edit #24 [2009-11-02]: Added RMD3 (jeric) links and replaced dead ones; Added MML3 RMD3 (mafiadriver) information + links. Added Bonne Battles (bdk) information + links. Fixed TL5IA (Blyka + fAB) download link. I'll be doing more updates in the next few days.
Edit #25a [2011-07-27]: Mega edit to try to get this list back up to date. Added lots, updated a few. Not done yet. Will be more edits soon.
Edit #26 [2013-05-06] by fAB: I can see why this hasn't been edited in so long, it's a beast to work with! I took it upon myself to at least update games I've been personally involved with on Sky Pirate Arcade, so a few entries have been edited and I added four new titles at the end of the list.
EDIT #27 [2014-12-13]: Beginning to restructure everything. No updates yet, but over the next week, everything should be brand new.
