Chapter 27- Yohmi
Drifter woke up. He felt the warm hand of Roll shake him awake. "Wake up Drifter. We're finally on Trinban Island. The Yellow Jacket is on its way too. Just ran into a few engine problems. They should be here any minute now." Roll turned and walked off. "Oh yeah, breakfast is on the table if you want it!"
Drifter didn't say anything as he sat up and stretched. The television was still on. The news was going on about the reaverbot attack. The weather was shown as well, but they went through it in about two minutes and got back to the reaverbots and the situation on every island.
Drifter looked down at the table and noticed the perfectly prepared breakfast. Roll made eggs, bacon, toast, and some coffee. He went through the breakfast and finally stood up for the first time that morning. Drifter stretched one more time and went to the bridge. Roll and Megaman were in a deep conversation.
Megaman looked over at Drifter. "Good morning Drifter!" Megaman said with a smile on his face. Drifter yawned and gave a small wave to Megaman. Drifter went over and took a seat.
"What are you guys talking about?" Drifter asked still tired.
"My father Banner Casket. We're not sure where he is and we think that he may be here."
"Sorry Roll, but that's a crazy notion. I mean he really could be anywhere on Terra." Drifter stated.
"You may be right Drifter. We have to just check for ourselves." Roll replied. "Looks like they're here. You guys should go."
Roll gave Megaman a hug and Megaman returned the gratitude. Drifter got up and both of them walked out together. They met up with Dragge and Protoman who were just getting off of the Yellow Jacket. "Let's get this over with." Protoman said. Protoman made sure all of his armor was in working order and gave the ready signal. The four of them headed south.
It wasn't long into the trip when they spotted fourteen lightning rods sticking out of the ground. They were spread out far enough from each other. Each one had a wire on it that each ran back to a small house in the distance. For the first time the group noticed how the clouds were growing dark and looked like it was going to rain. It thundered and they were ready to take shelter in the house in case the storm was bad.
"Why aren't there any reaverbots?" Megaman asked. "This is eerily quiet." Megaman's buster quietly slid out from its spot and started whirring quietly. Megaman held onto his buster with his right arm and kept it down for the time being. Megaman looked down at the ground as if expecting a reaverbot to pop out of the ground. Instead all he saw was teal and gray armor with little hints of purple on it and a purple scarf. He looked back up and continued on and so did the others.
Dragge passed close enough to the "armor" when suddenly the left arm came up and latched onto his foot. Dragge's buster was aimed on the suit and was ready to shoot. "Please don't shoot!" came a male voice. "Don't go any further either!" The male slowly climbed his way onto his feet and turned around and sat in the grass. Dragge and Protoman rushed to his side and helped him on his feet.
"Who are you?" Drifter asked looking a little suspicious.
"I'm Yohmi. Let's get to my place and we can talk a bit there." Protoman and Dragge helped Yohmi back to the small place. It didn't take more than ten minutes to make the trek to the little abode.
Yohmi limped inside and showed them to the living room. Yohmi's house was smaller than it looked. It was only two rooms connected to each other by a door. The larger of the rooms was the living room, bedroom, and kitchen all in one. The other room turned out to be a full bathroom. Yohmi sat in what seemed to be his favorite chair.
"So as I was saying before, I'm Yohmi and I'm twenty-seven years old." He couldn't have been lying. He had bright blue eyes and a deep tan. His hair was blackish and he wore a red band around his head. He lifted his hand and took the large cape off finally giving everyone a full view of his face. "I'd like to get to know you guys a bit too."
The group of diggers found places to sit and gave each of their stories up until that point. Yohmi was deeply interested and motivated by what they told him. He was on the edge of his chair the entire time and didn't sit back until each had given their portions. "I've lived here by myself for, what is it now, fourteen years? I used to live on the homely island Neebo until I lost all faith in the island. They had very little refractors to collect and the cars that were there were nothing but rusted shells of what they formerly were. I left with my dog, and wound up here as the only inhabitant on the island."
"So instead of relying totally on refractors I went with pure electricity from lighting storms which usually happen often." Through the window all could see a few lighting strikes in the distance. "You guys have ships here?"
"Yeah we do," Megaman stated. "Do you have a place where we could put them?"
"Sure do. I have an underground bunker with my ship and space for another four. Bring them if you want them out of the rain." Protoman nodded and ran off to get his ship and to tell Roll the news.
"So where is the dog you were talking about?" Drifter asked.
"Dead. Died a few years back. It was lonely for about a year until a few months ago when a man with purple hair and sideburns, a teal trench coat, and a robotic arm came here by himself. I let him stay here."
"Where is he now?" Megaman asked almost forcing the answer out of Yohmi.
"Should be back any second actually." As if on cue the same man came from the entrance door.
The man saw Megaman and recognized the familiar face. "Megaman." The man walked over and shook Megaman's hand. "Is Roll here?"
"Yeah, should be here soon." Megaman knew who it was too. It was none other than Roll's father Banner. He had been here after recovering that nasty wound from the abandoned mines on Calinca. "Where have you been all this time Banner?"
"Moving around. I initially went to Saul Kada with Maria and her daughter, but left after we got there. I had a feeling that I would see Roll and Matilda again so I had to search. It was because of the both of you that I got my memory back. Thank you Megaman, once again I'll have my family back."
Protoman and Roll came up from an underground basement and Roll saw the figure right away. "Roll. My daughter. It's good to see you again."
"Dad?" Roll's eyes filled up with tears and she ran to her father like a small girl running into the shelter of the strong head of the family. "It really is you!" she cried. Megaman started to tear up too and went over to her side.
"So Yohmi, you told us earlier to not continue on our trek. What did you mean by that?" Dragge asked.
Yohmi laughed at Dragge. "Isn't it obvious. What else could I be talking about? I'm talking about the reaverbots. They have been appearing above ground more than ever. The only ruin is about three miles from here and you can even see it towering outside on a clear day. I got readings from down under. If there is a giant reaverbot down there, it has been taking in some of that electricity and feeding it directly into its systems. I fear that it could become pure electricity and become unstoppable. With you guys here, we may be able to stop it."
"We'd be happy to Yohmi," Drifter stated. "Tomorrow we'll go there and get rid of it for you. We also need help on our journey. So if you don't mind."
"I'll help you guys afterward. Don't worry. I have my own ship underground. You guys are free to sleep up here if you want. My home is your home."

Chapter 28- An Electric Personality
They were about five-hundred yards away from the ruins when the reaverbots attacked from the ground. They stayed where they were and the five diggers had their busters aimed at whatever reaverbot was there. Then a plume of smoke appeared about three feet above the ground.
"Welcome digger!" boomed the Elder. His icy blue eyes matched his cold stare. His hair was oddly jet black and had dark yellow armor. "It's good to finally run into you!"
"Jakob! What are you trying to do?" Protoman shouted aiming his buster from a reaverbot to the Elder.
"Well Nemesis wants to rule the world and have the carbons serve under him. Only by using the reaverbots can he do this. If you guys try to foil his plan he has a back-up. Exactly what it is I'll let him tell you. You won't reach Nemesis, however, for I will kill you all right here, right now!" One of the lighting rods flew up from the ground. It shrunk in diameter, but it grew in length. IT flew up into Jakob's hands.
He swiftly swung it back and forth then made a couple of short jabs. Each time he swung it about a small bolt of lighting followed it. The clouds grew dark and rain eventually followed with lighting and thunder. Dragge's helmet closed his head off from the rain. Everyone else with the exception of Protoman's hair was drenched.
Jakob made a few more swings and the battle begun. The reaverbots had the upper hand as they tackled the diggers. Yohmi fell over, but pulled himself out and kicked a reaverbot away from him. His armor slid back a few plates and a buster formed over his right hand. He pulled it up and shot a few reaverbots.
Dragge jumped over three reaverbots as soon as they were given orders. A larger reaverbot then came from nowhere and smacked him in the face. Dragge's energy claws shot out from his finger tips and he shredded through the reaverbot that dared to defy him.
Megaman went for Jakob and started the fight with the Elder. "Don't try it Megaman Trigger. You won all those years ago because we didn't see Protoman's blindside. Now we know all of your moves." The large rod came down and sliced through part of Megaman's shoulder armor cutting into his skin too. Megaman could see the blood seeping through, but he didn't care. He already had many injuries in the past. One more didn't matter.
Drifter tried to fight through some reaverbots, but he was outnumbered. He put up his shields and went into defense. The fate of the world depended on the next couple of weeks. A reaverbot jumped at him and he knocked it back with his shields. A reaverbot jumped on his back and started to crush him under the weight. He could hardly breath but then suddenly felt all of that pressure removed. Drifter looked up and saw Protoman holding out a helping hand. Drifter took it and both went back to the fight.
Yohmi took a strong hit to the face and snarled back in anger. His buster was roaring with shots and he wouldn't let down. This was his island and his home. No reaverbots would take it from him today or any other day for that matter. One reaverbot came from his left. He grabbed it and started to swing it around like a mace hitting any other reaverbot in the path.
Jakob swung the rod at Megaman. Megaman ducked and came back with an upper cut to the face. Jakob fell to the ground in pain. He stood up on his feet and swung his weapon again. Megaman didn't see it coming and was red on the left portion of his face afterward. His buster was up right away, however, and hit Jakob.
Dragge joined in the fight against Jakob and kicked the Elder in the back. Jakob's back cracked and he almost doubled over in pain, but he turned to face Dragge with a never dieing fire in his eyes. Dragge dodged the oncoming blow and used his autofire unit against Jakob. Jakob had lost his rod somewhere in the process and went with his second plan. He shot lightning from his fingers and it over-heated some of Dragge's armor. Dragge fell to the rough ground defenseless.
Megaman took a risk and went after Jakob. The bolts came again and Megaman just jumped over them. Megaman put his left arm on Jakob's right arm. Something surged through his armor and could feel its way coursing through his body. He shot his buster and instead of energy shots came lighting. Jakob took the lightning in as if he recharged from the stuff but then had to release the large portions into the sky.
Jakob fell over exhausted. "I'll be back. I'll leave the reaverbots to deal with you guys." Jakob vanished in a plume of smoke as when he came. The reaverbots went back underground to regroup and stop them when the diggers went into the ruins. Everyone got up and made sure they were in shape to go in. They came to a unanimous decision and entered the ruin not knowing what laid ahead.

Chapter 29- What Exactly Could This Be?
The elevator hummed as five diggers rode it down to the levels underneath the surface. The ruins have always been a creepy place and this was no exception. The ruin looked almost like an underground city only they could tell that it wasn't. It didn't have buildings painted somehow on the walls but the industrial look to it made it look like a worn out city.
Megaman stepped forward off of the elevator first. "This place make the Old City on Kattelox look beautiful." Megaman spoke the truth and everyone nodded in silence. No one really needed to say anything unless they were looking out for their partners. The room that they were in contained two paths each spreading out to form a "V". "No matter what, we all stick together," Dragge said raising a finger in the air. "We shouldn't get separated in here. I don't think anyone except for Yohmi has been here."
"I have been here before, but I never went the whole way through. I guess now would be the perfect time."
"Let's start then. The quicker the better," Drifter said. He then went toward the left path and waited for the rest to follow. It took a minute for everyone to figure out what he was doing, but then they picked up right away. The diggers stayed true to their word about staying together. The first door was only a few feet from the entrance to the tunnel. The door opened up and they slowly walked through it with busters ready.
There was a deadly silence in the air and the only thing the diggers could hear were their own heartbeats. These reaverbots were enhanced with the program and they knew more tactics than before. The diggers made it half way through the room before Protoman stopped them in mid-step. "I hear something. It's faint, but I know that it's there." Everyone listened and they heard what Protoman was talking about. There was indeed a faint metallic clanking far off or possibly right there.
Yohmi turned around then faced forward again trying to find out where the sound was coming from. Then something dropped from the ceiling. No one saw it though. The Karumuna Bash stalked along the ground. Even for its size it could hide well in shadows. Then it leaped for the group of diggers. Each one was in the close group. They saw the reaverbot jump at them and they immediately split up. Then four more Karumuna Bash dropped from above.
"It's an ambush!" Megaman shouted just doing a dodge-roll out of the way of the intense flames. Megaman came out of the roll and shot at the reaverbot. It jumped the shots and came down right behind Megaman. It spun around and kicked Megaman down.
Dragge jumped on top of his Karumuna Bash and rode it until he was thrown off. Hitting the ground hurt, but Dragge was stronger than this. He slowly got back up and the Karumuna Bash was staring him down. Dragge noticed that the reaverbot could bight his head off if it wanted to. Dragge stared the reaverbot down too and snarled at it. The Karumuna Bash howled and Dragge put his left shoulder into the reaverbot knocking it back onto the ground.
The Karumuna got back up and breathed its flames. Dragge's helmet and face plate were up before the flames could reach him. Dragge then fought his way through the flames not being able to see his way through it all. Seeing was futile and he then instead used his autofire unit to get the reaverbot out of rhythm.
The rest of the group had their rough points in the battle, but eventually they finished the reaverbots, collected the zenny on the ground, and fell over exhausted. "Who's still alive!" Protoman joked just barley getting the joke out. Everyone else tried to laugh, but they're lungs wouldn't allow it. They knew what Protoman was saying. They were all dieing from loss of breath.
Drifter was the first to recover and help all of the others up. "Well, if this is what the rest of the ruin is like, I don't want to see the guardian," Yohmi spat. No one wanted to continue, but the fate of the world was in their hands. Sure they didn't have to search for the Five Treasure of the Mother Lode, but if the reaverbots deep down weren't destroyed now, who's saying that they will loose their power years from now?
After regaining their strengths they went to tackle the rest of the ruin. The layout wasn't complex, but the reaverbots were the ones that would be found on Elysium or the Main Gate. They usually tried to make shifts on who would fight what reaverbot. It didn't work, however, due to reaverbots coming from other spots. The Elders were making it rough on the diggers this time around. Usually someone of their strength could have made it through a ruin like the one they were in within minutes. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two hours later the group of diggers made it to the raverbot's lair. The door opened and they went in one after the other. The room was large and simple. They didn't see the reaverbot anywhere. They continued forward looking out for any signs of the usually massive reaverbot. After walking for a minute or two they came to another wall. It was supposedly a dead end.
"This can't be it!" Dragge shouted. "There has to be a reaverbot here!" Then an electrical surging sound came from up above. Each one of them looked up and saw that the reaverbot was there after all. It was about two times larger than a Wojigairon at full height. It was yellow respectively and looked like a massive dragon with wings and large talons on each foot. Its front legs were chained to the wall along with the back legs as well.
Also there were fourteen wires running into the reaverbot. It had to be the pure electricity from the lighting strikes. Somehow the reaverbots got power lines of their own and hooked them up to the ruler of the underground district. Its eyes glowed dark red and it let out a deafening roar and it tried to break free, but it couldn't move.
The diggers acted on instinct and peppered the defenseless reaverbot with everything that they had in their arsenal. After getting through it, the reaverbot started to leak smoke as if it were going to blow. It didn't though. It let out another roar and it broke free from its chains. It walked toward the diggers and went down on all four feet. Its tail swung around trying to smash the diggers, but the reaverbot was so massive that it moved so slowly.
They shot at it and thought that they could take it down, but this time the reaverbot had a plan "B". It changed forms instantly. It went from its physical form into lighting. Its shape was still there, but instead of metal it was dreaded lightning. The diggers moved out of the way as it got closer to them. Their shots had no effect on the giant.
"Yohmi! You've been studying this stuff! What do you know about lightning that we don't?" Protoman yelled across the room. Yohmi thought for a second.
"There's not much we can do now, but I have an idea. If we can get it to shoot lightning then reflect it back at the reaverbot somehow, it might short it out and we can finish it." It was a crazy idea but they all went through with it. They found parts of the chains and used them for the reflector. It worked and the reaverbot fell to the ground in it's metal form. The diggers went at it once more with shots and finally defeated it.
There was nothing much left afterward except for a small chip. Dragge walked over and picked it up. He went to put it in his armor when a large electric discharge was given off. Dragge took it out immediately. "Is this a treasure? If so five of these can power the world for thousands of years to come. We can reserve the refractors for back-up," Protoman said.
They were left in awe at the power of the Mother Lode. In fact it wasn't even the full thing. It was just a fraction. The power of the Mother Lode wasn't something to mess with. It contained too much power for one person to handle and could kill anyone if left in direct contact with them for too long. The diggers took turns carrying it as they left the ruins wondering where to go next.

Chapter 30- Stranded
The air ships were being readied for lift off. Each of the diggers were going separate ways so that they could help other islands in need. Yohmi was heading to Saul Kada to help out there. Megaman and Protoman were heading back to Nino with Banner and Roll to drop Banner off. After that they would be on their way to Kattelox. Dragge and Drifter would be on their own and taking the Yellow Jacket with them.
The ships were checked then checked again and everything seemed to be all right. Dragge jumped off of the ladder on the side of the Yellow Jacket and approached his son. "All of your stuff is on board. You'll be sleeping in my room on Protoman's bed... that is if you want to," Dragge quickly added. "You can sleep on the couch in the living room if you wish."
"Thanks Dragge. Don't worry we'll be together for quite some time. I think we'll figure something out. Anyway we should be going." Yohmi boarded his sleek purple ship and Megaman got on the Flutter. Dragge and Drifter went onto the Yellow Jacket. All three ships started up at once and took off in different directions.
Before leaving, Yohmi told them about the digger's tale about Mett. Supposedly Mett was once a digger that used to enjoy studying the reaverbots. He apparently went underground one day to study the reaverbots when he was trapped by them. No one really knew if he existed or not and figured that he may be a great asset to the team. If any of them ran into the once known digger they agreed to get him to Yohmi. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Yellow Jacket was flying high above what seemed to be an endless sea. It wasn't like the father and son team were really going anywhere at the moment. They hadn't decided on a location and thought to just fly around and look for a place that looked like it needed a lot of help.
Dragge had the autopilot on and was relaxed in his captain's chair with his feet up on a console. The sky was bright blue, despite the fighting going on below. The sun was also shining bright lie it never had before. "Why do things like this have to happen all the time?" Dragge asked himself. "Are we truly so innocent? Should this be the way to punish the carbons?"
"I don't know, but what I do know is that millions of people will die unless we do something about it!" Drifter yelled smashing his hand against a piece of steel. He withdrew his hand in pain and tried to hold back the yell. The pain in his right hand simmered down and he went back to working. He would occasionally wipe sweat from the top of his forehead with his greasy shirt.
Dragge turned his chair around and looked at Drifter's project for the first time that day. "What are you working on there son?" Dragge asked while he started to get out of his chair.
Drifter made a few cuts with his laser knife then answered his father, "A new weapon of mine. An energy sword. The Blade of Elysium."
Dragge laughed on the inside of himself. "The Blade of Elysium?! Where did you get this idea?"
"Don't know. Just sort of popped into my head in like an instant last night. A voice told me to create a sword that the voice never had time to do. Gave me instructions on how to build it and everything. Even the name came from the voice."
"The Master," Dragge said hushed. It had to be. The Master had always wanted to do numerous things before he died but never got the chance. "Let me take a look at it son."
"The handle is just about done. After that I'll finish up the wiring and blade capabilities and it should work." Dragge held the handle in his hand. It was a perfect fit for him. He swung it back and forth as if the sword was really there. He could imagine it right there.
"What kind of sword is it supposed to be?" Dragge asked taking a couple of swipes at some imaginary reaverbots.
"The voice told me to make a rapier out of it. I think it was supposed to be a broad sword originally, but the voice wanted something swift and deceptive."
"Just like a rapier should be." Dragge handed the piece of work back to his son and left the bridge. He had to think for a minute or two. Dragge never got even thirty seconds to think before the ship shock with intense force. Dragge went back to manual flight and looked in all directions. There was nothing out there. Or was there?"
"I'm picking up massive energy readings. All around the Yellow Jacket. Something big is coming this way!" Dragge had no time to do anything before the Yellow Jacket was blasted out of the sky and landed in the sea. Dragge and Drifter both got into their armor and got on top to see what was going on.
They both stared in awe at the massive size of the reaverbot rising up from out of the sea. It looked like an octopus with eight large tentacles. It towered a great three hundred feet over them. On top of that two figures stood on top of the reaverbot.
The figures yelled out their names: Dantell and Aried. They were identical to each other right down to the armor and physical features. The only thing that distinguished one from the other was their voices. Dantell had a rough voice while Aried's was softer but with a hint of toughness still in it.
"We've got nowhere to run to Dragge! We're stuck!" Then as if on cue a gross of Mandomantals rose up from under the water.
"Now we have room to run. Be careful, this can still get messy." Dragge and Drifter took off in different directions hopping onto different Mandomantals. The two Elders kept the Naimal back until the signal was given. Both jumped down off of the reaverbot onto a Madomantal ready to fight the diggers. Both of them had only energy swords for weapons and were skilled in combat with them.
Dragge approached Dantell and just nearly got his head cut off. Dragge put up his helmet and ignited his laser claws. If it was going to be a melee battle then so be it. He dodged one swipe... two... then a third before being hit in the calf with a fourth swipe that came from nowhere. His hands shot forward as he tried to claw the armor off of Dantell.
Dantell knew what Dragge was up to and jumped onto another Mandomantal. Dragge followed suit and leaped onto the one Dantell just had. Dragge's helmet went down and he went for long range fighting. His autofire unit burst with shells aimed for the Elder.
Dragge couldn't believe his eyes as Dantell blocked every shot. His arms looked like a blur blocking each bullet. Dragge then switched arms and shot with his buster. Dantell laughed as each shot bounced off of his swords. Dragge was stuck and there was nothing he could do about it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Drifter and Aried were at it neither one backing off. Drifter held his shields up high and blocked the shots from the sabers. Each time a sword hit the more powerful it seemed to get. Drifter started groaning from the pain.
The swords started coming faster and faster until Drifter couldn't even see them coming. He felt the hits though. His body was nearly trashed with cuts and bruises. He couldn't give up, but what else could he do? Then the attacks stopped. Drifter and Dragge met back up and looked up to the reaverbot still towering above them motionless. It raised up two of its tentacles and brought them crashing down on the diggers.
Drifter and Dragge were underwater being held under by force. They both tried to reach the surface, but the attempts were futile and they were running out of air.

Chapter 31- Seeing the Light
Dragge was running out of breath. Neither he nor his son could get back to the surface. The tentacle from the reaverbot not only held them under, it was wrapped around them as well trying to squeeze every last bit of air out of their lungs. Dragge was struggling against the large appendage and knew that as of that time there was nothing to do.
As if it had a mind of its own, his helmet and faceplate came up over his head and cut him off from the rushing water. He still couldn't breath, however. Then the water started draining through some small holes located in the helmet. He could finally breath again and filled his lungs with precious air. How it felt so good to him. He felt as if he had never breathed air before.
"Okay then. Let's see what's going on here. Weapon status!" A screen came up with weapon statuses. "Buster not operational, autofire unit not operational, laser claws not operational, and personal jets not operational. First thing I need to do is free myself and Drifter."
For the first time Dragge looked over at Drifter. The kid was fighting to keep alive. The strain in his eyes emotionally hurt Dragge. The barrels that usually released the claws shot out of the armor's fingertips. Nothing shot out and Dragge expected that. Dragge put one hand behind him then brought it forward. The small metal barrels dug into the reaverbots outer casing. The tentacle released Dragge and he rose to the surface.
Dragge couldn't stop there though. He had to go back and grab his son. Dragge dove back under and dug his "claws" into the reaverbot again. The tentacle let go of his son and Dragge got him back to the surface.
Drifter came back on top of the surface and spit up a great bit of water. He coughed a bit and tried to speak. "Thanks!" another cough. "I probably would have died down there if it weren't for you."
"Sorry Drifter, but there's no time to talk. Get back to the Yellow Jacket and finish that sword of your's. We may need it. Drifter nodded and swam back off toward the Yellow Jacket. Dragge climbed on top of a Mandomantal. He rested for only a brief second then looked up at the two figures sitting on top of the massive beast.
They jumped down together and had their swords ready. Dragge had no weapons so he had to rely on wits and skills. He was slow this time around. He had lost so much energy while underwater that he had no time to gain any of it back before being thrown into a fight. They were good and Dragge knew it. His mechanical muscles wouldn't allow him to give up though. No matter how many times he got hit he went back.
Dantell had Dragge cornered. The energized sword was held over Dragge with the tip right near his nose. Then a yell came from the distance and Dragge looked up. Drifter was high into the air with a device in his hand. He through it and Dragge caught it perfectly. The blade shot out with a smooth hum. Dragge then found the strength deep inside of him to keep fighting.
Dragge's sword clashed with Dantell's sparks flying everywhere. The two of them blocked and attacked. Aried was after Drifter and eventually fell to his knees in defeat. Dantell was too overwhelmed and left the fight leaving the diggers to the kracken. The reaverbot surged forward creating huge tidal waves. "Drifter get to the ship and get the engine running! We need to get out of here!" Dragge shouted over the roar of the waves.
"We can't just let that thing roam around!" Drifter countered.
"Listen to me! If we had everyone we could take this thing, but for now there's nothing we can hope to accomplish. Go!" Drifter ran off and Dragge held the Blade of Elysium in front of him in defense. The reaverbot stopped in front of him and raised all eight tentacles. They came down on top of Dragge. This time; however, Dragge hopped up on one, then another, then continued his way up the reaverbot.
Dragge came face to face with the eyes of the reaverbot. He was spotted right away and waited for a tentacle to come up behind him. As the appendage came to smack Dragge off, Dragge jumped out of the way. The reaverbot had hit itself. Then in one swift motion Dragge took out both eyes. The reaverbot groaned and started to go back to its place in the sea. Dragge jumped off onto the recently repaired Yellow Jacket and climbed back down into the ship's hull. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dragge and Drifter were both in the living room having a nice evening meal for the first time in a while. Both were dry now and their armors were drying. The television was on and the news was going over the current issue through the world.
"Nicely prepared meal dad," Drifter said after swallowing the dinner.
"Thanks. I learned a lot from your mother. Beside I found this to be the perfect meal." Dragge happened to cook up the best lobster anyone could try and had some shrimp in the refrigerator. They chowed down as they shared jokes and over secrets that they hadn't known about each other.
The ship hovered in the air as it piloted itself to their next destination. The winds were calm and the sea was at rest. Inside the two relatives enjoyed themselves.

Chapter 32- Deep Freeze
"Alright Drifter, get ready. We're headed as far North as possible. Evertruth Island is getting hit hard from the reaverbots. They say that the reaverbots blend into their surroundings. Get your armor heated up because we won't be inside for quite some time when we get there." Dragge turned around and went back to the bridge.
Drifter watched as his father walked back to steer the ship. He and his father had enjoyed their time together getting to know how each other's lives had been going. What they were trying to avoid was the discussion on the reaverbot battles. The Elders were currently down to two members. It included Bruticus and Nemesis.
Drifter finally stood up with a sigh and tweaked his armor so that it would radiate heat throughout the entire suit and the helmet. Evertruth Island got more snow than Calinca did in a year. Luckily they created heaters that got rid of a majority of the snow before it hit the ground. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dragge brought the Yellow Jacket in for a landing. The ship was already being covered with snow. Dragge switched the heaters on so that the ship stayed warm and would escape any snow that try to lay on the ship.
The father and son team stepped off of the ladder into the piling snow. They walked side-by-side to the nearest town with their busters ready for the first sign of trouble. It came before they saw. Reaverbots popped out of the snow and attacked like they were programmed to. The diggers couldn't see anything. The snow got in the way of seeing the reaverbots themselves.
"Drifter! We need to escape! There's no way we can fight by their terms!" Dragge shouted to his son.
"I for one agree! We can't see them, but they can definitely see us!" Drifter shot in front of him and hopped that one of the reaverbots would be destroyed. He remembered that the reaverbots had been upgraded and took longer to kill. Whatever protected their armor now was much stronger than what they had been using. Drifter pushed his way forward and Dragge followed.
After trudging through snow for thirty minutes the two reached the city. It was in ruins. The reaverbots had plowed through here and left people homeless. Dragge looked at people shivering underneath the open sky. Most houses were burned down. Those that weren't completely burned housed about ten to fifteen people just so that they didn't have to stay out.
A small child, a ten year old, ran up to Dragge. Dragge looked at the teary face of the boy. "Are you here to save us?!" the kid sobbed.
"Yes. We both are. We will do whatever we can to hold off reaverbots for as long as possible. Get back inside and stay there. This is no place for you." The kid ran off to one of the complete buildings and shut the door behind him.
"This is madness Dragge. Nemesis must be killed and the program for the reaverbots with him." Dragge didn't respond to Drifter. He didn't have to. They both knew what was going on and they both knew that the world would stay in turmoil unless something was done. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Mayor's house was still in great shape and he was able to house and feed about forty people. He addressed the diggers right away. "Welcome!" came the strong voice of a strong leader. "I know these aren't good times, but when have they been?"
"Ten years ago approximately. The Halcyon Days as I recall. They were the times of true peace. Or so the resources I saw claim."
"So you're both here to help us?"
"To our best yes," Drifter answered.
"Then I may have something to help you both out." The Mayor went into another room and a few minutes later he returned with two small prism like chips.
"Two chips of power. The Mother Lode." Dragge said. He took one and let Drifter have the other. "That makes four with the one we came across together and the one Megaman found."
"Thank you." Drifter said. "Let's go Dragge." They both equipped a chip to their armor and felt the intense power immediately. It hit them like a wave of thunder with lighting mixed into it all. It subsided in a minute and both of them took off. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Outside of the town things were going well for both diggers. Their upgraded weapons took down reaverbots in a matter of seconds. They were able to move faster and hit harder. There wasn't a reaverbot in the white field that could escape their grasps.
Within an hour the reaverbot activity had ceased. There was nothing left and found the city should be safe while it rebuilt. They went back and said some good-byes and took off in the Yellow Jacket. There were rumors coming in from other diggers that Bruticus was finally showing himself. Diggers claimed that he was on Axeratio Island. The island of pure wealth. If the diggers had a time to strike, it was now.

Chapter 33- Mett
Axeratio Island was a ghost of its former self. There were fires burning everywhere, buildings were in ruins, and surprisingly there were no reaverbots to be found. The grass was scarred black and the trees were withered. There seemed to be no refugees anywhere. It really didn't matter anyway. There was no place to hide.
Dragge and Drifter wandered aimlessly throughout the island trying to pick up readings on Bruticus's location. They had no luck at all. About an hour and a half of traveling into the search Drifter fell down. He rolled on to his back and stared into the blackened sky. "Why Dragge? There's almost no point to this. Everything we've heard are more than likely to be rumors. Just like Mett. He's nothing more than a rumor."
Dragge sighed and sat down next to his son. "Maybe he is real. No one has really tried to search for him though. He could be out there and he could be doing something this very minute."
Drifter leaned his head back. "You mean like sitting on a log in the middle of a devastated Axeratio Island at this very moment?" Drifter asked.
"Yeah on a log in the middle of..." Then it hit Dragge. His head shot up and he turned around. Just like Drifter had said. "How did you know?"
"I just tilted my head back and there was someone on a log. Don't know if it's Mett or not. Let's go check." Drifter and Dragge got up and walked over to the log. The man was sitting with his back toward them. His hair was black. He wore no armor like any other. It looked as if he stripped pieces off of reaverbots and welded them together. Half of his head was covered in some sort of reaverbot helmet.
Dragge and Drifter sat down on either side of the man and the guy suddenly jumped forward. He pulled a blade out of a small sheath and quickly put it up to Dragge's throat. Dragge didn't move a muscle. "What business do you have here?" the man said not moving the blade any closer nor moving it away from Dragge's throat.
"We're here to stop the reaverbot dilemma. We have word that one of the Elders, Bruticus, is somewhere on this island. We've also been on the lookout for a man named Mett. We need him to help us. He could become a real asset to us."
"Who wants to look for Mett? Who are the two of you?"
"My name is Dragge Trigger of Elysium and this is my son Drifter Trigger of Ostasis Island." The blade moved away from Dragge's throat and the man put the blade away.
"Well I'm the one you're looking for. I'm Mett. Nice to meet you." Dragge extended a hand but Mett didn't return the gesture. "I'll trust you when I feel like I should trust you. What's the history here behind the Elders and all of this?"
"I'd go back as far as I can but that'd take a little while to tell. It's a big story. Let's walk on and I'll fill you in on major details." The trio walked on into the next city. Dragge filled Mett in on the specific details about what's been happening lately. Not much good.
It was later into the day and the group still hadn't found Bruticus. It was Mett who was giving a life account. "I was always interested in the reaverbots. I wanted to study them more. Even maybe become one with them," came his rough deep voice. "One day when I had the necessary equipment I traveled underground. I did what I could to study the reaverbots without coming into close contact with them. I figured that my armor would keep me alive. I was wrong."
Dragge stopped walking and turned his head toward Mett. "What do you mean?"
Mett returned the look then continued walking. "They came for me. The reaverbots are territorial. The master of the ruins sent reaverbots to retrieve me while I was down there one day. They stripped me of my armor and experimented on me." Mett shuddered. "Oh how terrible those were. They hooked me up to electronics I never knew existed. When they were done, I had most of my inside replaced with electrical wiring and gears. The only thing keeping me alive is this armor. I lose this I lose my life."
No one responded and Mett didn't say anything more until he was certain that no one was going to comment. "I lived in the bottom levels of the ruins for as long as I can remember. It was terrible down there and I did whatever I could to stay away from people. I couldn't let anyone see me."
"It's got to be horrible knowing that you aren't truly human anymore."
"Hey!" Mett snapped. "I'm just as human as you! You have all of those gears and hydraulics yourself. What keeps you human is the way you think. Listen. After hearing everything, I think I can finally trust you Dragge." Mett stuck out a hand and Dragge took it.
In the distance a lone person clapped. "Finally. I've been following you all day."
"Who are you?" Mett yelled. Dragge looked at Mett. It was so obvious who the person was.
"I'm Bruticus!" the man said with a wicked smile.

Chapter 34- Reinforcements
Bruticus didn't look like the average Elder. He was more muscular and his eyes looked as if they held some sort of hidden secret. His armor wasn't much of anything. He wore simple blue jeans and wore a leather jacket with a white shirt underneath it. The only visible weapon was an energized sword like the Blade of Elysium. His eyes were oddly medium gray and and had black hair with sideburns lining his face.
Dragge was ready. He took up a fighting stance and held his buster ready. Before he launched into the air and call came through. "Dragge here," Dragge casually said.
"Dragge, Megaman here. We need you, Drifter, and whoever else that is to get out of there. We're coming in with our ships and are going to launch some projectiles at Bruticus."
"I read you loud and clear Megaman. Dragge out. Drifter, Mett, we need to get out of the general area. Back up has arrived and they're about to blast Bruticus to bits."
Dragge's comrades nodded and together they ran off in the direction from which they came. "What's wrong? Did you forget that you can't fight?" Bruticus yelled.
Neither of them said anything. After running for a few seconds Megaman gave the all clear. Drifter was the first to turn around and see the missiles come in from behind Bruticus. Moments afterward the Flutter along with Yohmi's ship roared past the diggers and settled down not far from them.
"What did I tell you Dragge!" Megaman yelled running over to his clone. "It's good to see you again. How have things been going?"
"Drifter and I have run into our fair of ramifications but we turned up victorious. What brings the three of you back here?"
"Diggers all over the world have started to stand up for their rights and police forces have been able to help out as well," Protoman said. "We heard the rumors about Bruticus coming here and knew that you two would be here before anyone else so we got the idea to follow suit."
"Is that Mett?" Yohmi asked speaking up for the first time.
"Yes I am," was all that came from the former scientist's mouth.
Yohmi extended a hand and Mett took it. Dragge and Megaman went on talking about what's been happening, where they've been, and if there's any word on Nemesis. Protoman looked to where Bruticus had been standing. He was still there! Protoman's buster formed around his left arm and he took his shield from his back. He shot once in Bruticus's direction. The shot never connected.
"Attack formation guys. Bruticus is still alive. He has some sort of barrier surrounding him. Let's bring it down and finish off the Elders." Protoman rushed on ahead and the rest of the followed behind.
Bruticus just smiled and in front of him appeared about one-thousand reaverbots. Protoman thrust his shield in front of him and plowed through the reaverbots. He got in front of Bruticus and started blasting away. Bruticus just hovered in the air with a smile on his face.
Bruticus raised his sword and the sky darkened. Millions of small laser darts surrounded Protoman and they fired at Bruticus's command. Protoman didn't stand a chance against them all and fell at Bruticus's feet. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dragge fought through reaverbot after reaverbot. Bruticus was picky on which reaverbots he used. He had a lot of Juraids and Amistals. The smaller bots that the Amistals were giving off got annoying fast. Eventually Dragge fought through about fifty reaverbots before reaching Bruticus's position.
Dragge was stunned at what he saw before him. Protoman was sitting in a pool of his own blood with Bruticus laughing like an insane man. Dragge pulled out the Blade of Elysium and propelled into the sky. He came down quick and the sword connected with Bruticus's aura. Sparks flew into Dragge's face as both offense and defense tried to keep up with each other. In the end the shield and sword broke.
Dragge flung the useless handle to the side and started busting loose with the autofire unit. Bruticus recoiled after getting hit but recovered. Dragge couldn't believe what he was seeing. This was a person not dieing from bullet shots. Dragge then went with his laser claws. The small blades ignited and Dragge slashed again and again and Bruticus's face.
After a minute of doing that Bruticus just stood there and laughed. His skin wasn't there anymore. Instead of muscle and bone however, there was metal and gears. "Surprised great Dragge. I suppose you would be. After all, how could a human survive inside a computer for three-thousand years?" Bruticus raised his sword and brought it down on Dragge.
Dragge caught the blur in his hands. Dragge's robotic muscles started failing him as he was pushed back farther and farther down toward the ground. Dragge then looked at Protoman's lifeless body. 'If this continues I may end up like him. I won't allow it!' Dragge thought. With everything Dragge had he pushed back and forced the sword out of Bruticus's hands.
"Megaman get up here!" Dragge shouted while dodging a kick by Bruticus. Megaman was there in an instant and saw why Dragge had called him. He picked up Protoman's body and carried it far from the battle grounds. Dragge ran over and picked up Protoman's shield.
The shield glowed with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns. Dragge rushed Bruticus and smashed his face with it. Bruticus fell to the ground. Dragge picked him up by the collar and stared him in the face. "Tell me where Nemesis is hiding."
"I'll never tell you Dragge. Nemesis is a man who is so complicated that even I don't know his thoughts. He could be anywhere right now. I have no clue. Even if I was going to tell you I wouldn't know where he is."
"That's a lie," Dragge said coldly.
"Yeah most of it is. I'm not going to help you though. You have to find him. Good luck. I hope you die when you see his face." Bruticus's face fell back and there was nothing left of the Elder. Dragged tossed the remains aside and helped clean up the rest of the reaverbots.

Chapter 35- Will
Dragge stood alone in the doorway looking at the casket containing Protoman's lifeless body. The burial service was for later on that day and he and the rest were getting together to go over Protoman's will.
Dragge sipped his coffee then turned around and walked over to the conference room. Drifter, Megaman, Yohmi, Mett, and Roll were already sitting down in the chairs there. Dragge took a seat next to Drifter and they waited for the official to come with the will. They only had to wait for a few moments before he entered. The middle-aged man sat down at the head of the table and read the will.
"If at anytime I should unfortunately die I give everything to Dragge and Megaman. This includes: my house, all of my personal belongings such as cars and furniture, rights to continue using my butlers, and so on. The only thing is that my business is left to my partner."
"Well that wraps that up," Dragge stated sipping his coffee again. He got up and left the building with Megaman behind him.
"So what are we to do with his stuff?"
"We all are moving in to his mansion; Elunia, Drifter, you, Roll, Barrel, Roll's parents, Yohmi, Mett, the Bonnes, and of course myself. I'm going to get things ready and see if Protoman has any secrets that need to be unveiled." Dragge continued to Protoman's house.
No reaverbots had attacked Ostasis for quite some time and that gave Dragge as long as he needed to reach the luxurious home. Dragge opened the front door and saw the butlers hard at work cleaning the house. Dragge walked past them all without a word and went right to Protoman's lab.
The computer had a large screen and had a nearly infinite memory capacity. Dragge flipped a few switches and it roared to life. "Screen name," the electronic voice said.
"Dragge," The computer then asked for his password. "Elysian Trigger."
"Welcome master Dragge." Dragge sat down at the chair and got to work on a program that he felt he would need later on in life. He got profiles on every person on Terra and their current location. His program would allow him to check in at anytime and see if someone was dead or alive. The first entry he maid was Protoman Enigma: Status- dead. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few hours went by before checking the computer clock. The service was in an hour. Dragge would go back to his place and freshen up. He was nearly done with the project he just needed to finish up with a few more people all located on Kattelox for the time being. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The casket was lowered about two hours later. People from all around gathered for the passing of a titan. Protoman was strong willed and wouldn't have given up for anything. People wept and held on to each other and after about another hour they finally left.
"We don't have time to stay here and mourn guys. We need to find Nemesis if we wish to end this war," Dragge boldly stated.
"Dragge, we don't even know where Nemesis is," Yohmi pointed out.
"Which is why I need everyone to help. Drifter, Megaman, Yohmi, Mett, and the Bonnes. Each of us needs to search Terra and find Nemesis before he finds and kills us all."
"Dragge there's no guarantee that the war will end just because Nemesis happens to be in charge," Teisel stated.
"He's got you there Dragge," said Bon backing up his brother.
"Listen Dragge, we all know your rage against Nemesis. We all feel that way," Trigger brought up. Dragge didn't respond to anything. He walked away and tore of his clothes revealing his armor underneath. He walked and wouldn't stop until he reached the Yellow Jacket Mk.II. He had a grudge and wouldn't let up on it. The Elders were pure darkness and nothing could stand in Dragge's way.

"The death of a Titan..." how appropriate. It's not easy doing deaths in this kind of thing. Bruticus' destruction shows a good glimpse into the near future under Nemesis' reign, and now Dragge's desire for vengeance is adding fuel to the fire. All this was well done. I wonder how things will turn out now... It's a good work, Dragge- keep at it.

Wait until you see things progress. I might move my stories to fan-fic dot com or whatever that site is since I haven't been getting many reviews for my stories and re-edit them again add more in and go more descriptive on these things. Thanks for typing something up for this. Like I said wait until things progress.
Edit- Protoman's shield is huge too. Once I start uploading pics of my fan-fic characters I've drawn I'll let you know.

Alright, I've read chapters 1-10 so far. I said I'd review your story, so... here goes. I'll be honest, this is a very hard story for me to review. Most of the times I review fanfiction, my criticism lies largely in the writting catagory. But you're clearly a good writter, even if the story as a whole feels rushed; especially in the fight scenes. My problems with your story are deeper than that, though. I guess there's no better place to start this review proper than with the titular Dragge: He's a clone of Megaman, only even stronger, and everyone seems to like him at this point in the story. With no sarcasm, I ask you if you've ever heard of a Gary-Stu? It's the male version of a Mary-Su. Both names describe a character who is overpowered, steals the spotlight from the original cast, and is loved by all without having to prove him/herself. It's the absolute biggest mistake a fanfiction writer can make, and you've stumbled into it. Even worse is the fact that Dragge is a clone of the main character of the series; that drags (no pun intended) him even lower than the typical Gary-Stu. It's a general no-no to make fancharacters that are just clones of the main characters. Heck, it's considered a sin to just have a fan character be RELATED to a main character. However, I've only read to chapter 10. In the words of someone on the Sonic Stadium Message Boards, "It's possible for Gary-Stu's to redeem themselves". I've seen it happen myself, in one of my favorite Sonic fanfictions, "Origins & Chronicles". An overpowered Sonic clone was introduced in the first chapter; not a good way to start a story. But the characterization of every character was so strong, and the plot became so interesting, that the good outweighed the bad. I suppose there is still time for your story to do this as well, but I don't know if I feel like reading the rest of it. Moving away from Dragge, let me speak of the other characters. Megaman seems to be completely out of character in this story. Listen, I understand this is the Elysium Megaman. But it's not the stoic Trigger of traingham's series; the Trigger you use seems to have the Kattalox Megaman's personality. So it comes across as bizarre when he decides to terminate his clone for no reason. Even more 'wtf' is when he decided to not kill Dragge after all; maybe it's just because I don't believe in free will, but the whole scene seemed nonsensical to me. The Master's death was also botched in this story. Only Megaman showed any emotion at the death. Dragge was just kind of 'Oh' about the whole thing. Protoman didn't even twitch, and Sera was more conserned with keeping the system running than avenging the Master's death. Where is the emotion in this story? As I said, this is a very hard review for me to write; I generally go by the rule that if I can't say anything nice, I shouldn't say anything at all. But I promised I'd read your story, and you asked for a review. While writting this, however, I think I've pinpointed the reason for this story's lack of originality. This is a REWRITE of a fanfiction you'd previously wrote. You would have written the original years ago, when you were still young and learning. Take it from me when I say that it is NEVER a good idea to go back to one of your old fanfictions and rewrite it. You're old stories are never as good as you remember them, and are most likely dated and not worth re-writing. I've tried re-writting two of my Sonic fanfictions in the past; It took me months to realize that the actual stories I was telling were absolutely no good. The best advice I can give you is to give up on this story entirely. Start something new and fresh, and learn from the mistakes you made in this story. You can still make it fancharacter oriented if you want, but just don't fall into the same pitfalls that Dragge has. Anyways, I realize this review has been very harsh. Not everyone on this board will agree with me on my opinions, but you have to ask yourself... isn't there a reason you haven't been getting reviews? In an effort to cheer you up, here are some smiling serve-bot faces: I wish you plenty of luck in your future endeavers, and I hope this review will help, rather than discourage you. Peace

Chapter 36- Anger
Dragge's ship flew through open air going nowhere in particular. He didn't care what anyone else thought of his actions. The Elders killed one of his closest friends and he could never forgive them. The only one still standing was the head honcho himself; Nemesis.
Dragge felt his ship shake and just put the thought past his mind as turbulence. The ship shook again and Dragge knew something was up. An explosion came from right behind his head and Dragge opened the cockpit window. He was above the sea with no place to go. If his ship went down then he would too.
"I can't die like this. Nemesis is still out there and I won't die until he dies first." Before he knew it a plasma based energy blade crackled next to his right ear. He spun around and found a pirate clad in white armor similar to that of Bola's. His eyes were icy blue and the man had five-o-clock shadow on his face.
"Well, I'm here Dragge. You wanted to fight me and hear I am." Dragge didn't know what to say exactly. He had wanted to confront the Elder and know there he was, standing on top of his ship.
Dragge felt his buster cannon form around his left hand and his autofire unit closed around his right hand. Dragge's left arm raised perpendicular to his own body. After that Dragge didn't remember what he was doing. The Elysian burst with fury as he rushed the smiling fool.
Nemesis stood in harm's way and before Dragge could even breathe on the guy he disappeared then reappeared right behind Dragge. Nemesis then followed through with an uppercut with his plasma scythe.
Dragge felt the pain as he fell to his knees. His back felt on fire and he could do nothing to stop the pain from spreading to the rest of his body. The digger forced himself onto his feet and brought a round house kick to Nemesis' face. Dragge then went down on one knee and blasted away.
Nemesis put up an arm to protect his face then blitzed Dragge. Dragge wasn't ready and both of them flew over the edge. Was this it? Dragge's mind was racing. He had to keep focus on his foe, but at the same time he had to break away and try to fly himself out of there with his personal foot jets.
Nemesis started beating the crap out of Dragge while still holding onto him in a bear hug. The brute force of each hit would normally be enough to knock out a carbon. Dragge was stronger than this and wouldn't allow it.
Dragge's foot snapped back and he kicked Nemesis' leg to no avail. His foe laughed at him as they both plummeted to the ocean below. Right before they crashed Nemesis opened some sort of portal and they both landed on the top of a skyscraper.
Dragge stood up wobbling a little still feeling a little light-headed. Nemesis didn't care about how his enemy felt and tackled him again.
Dragge was failing at the one thing he thought he would succeed in. His thoughts flashed into his eyes. Was he about to die right here without anyone knowing? Nemesis kicked Dragge in the mid-section and Dragge doubled over.
"The Elders can't be defeated Dragge. We were, are, and always will be the better fighters. Soon the world will either bow to me or die by the reaverbots."
"N.n.never." Dragge said painfully. Dragge saw Nemesis raise the scythe then a white light flashed from behind and Nemesis tumbled.
Dragge stood and noticed Megaman on top of the Flutter. "How?" was all the digger could muster.
"Tracking beacon on your armor. Slapped it on before you left." Dragge shook his head in amazement at his "brother" and chuckled. Trigger leaped from the Flutter down to the roof top and met Dragge's eyes. "Let's finish him off."
Nemesis stood again and stared down both diggers. He roared as the distance between him and the diggers closed. "Let's finally work together Trigger." Megaman nodded and in an instant they went into a series of near impossible moves.
Dragge grabbed Megaman's left hand and launched him forward. Megaman held a foot out and landed it on Nemesis' chest. Megaman retreated to Dragge's side. Nemesis didn't stay down and the diggers went into the classic move of spinning on each other's backs. One would shoot while the other's back was pressed against the one shooting.
Nemesis felt the brute force of non-stop plasma eating up his synthetic flesh. After the raid nothing was left on the right side of his face except for the gears and motors that whirled inside. An optic sensor looked up at the diggers with rage.
Megaman leaped forward and a blade shot out a barrel on his right arm. The blade pierced through the Elder's mid-section and electricity crackled as the blade stayed there for a second. Megaman then took Nemesis and threw him at Dragge.
The clone took the opportunity and shot Nemesis in spots that would weaken a carbon. Nemesis fell to one knee and panted. This was it as Dragge and Trigger cornered him. Their foe looked at the diggers and laughed. "I'm not as feeble as I look. I was just caught off guard. I shall return but the reaverbot threat will still remain. I hate to burst your bubble but don't forget about your other Dragge."
"What do you mean?"
"Dagger is still out there." Then there was no trace of the Elder. He was gone again but for who knows nobody knew.
"What will we do about this Dagger character?" Trigger asked.
"I'll kill him personally. I read Protoman's data on Dagger and I found out that the only way to kill him is by putting him into the sun. I'll get my ship equipped for space, slap on a few oxygen tanks, and take him down."
"Dragge you'll kill yourself."
"I think this was meant to be Megaman." The Flutter hovered next to the rooftop and the diggers walked their way through the door. Dragge's ship would be found and recovered later and preparation would get underway for what may be his final say.

Chapter 37- Further Future
The Yellow Jacket personal ship was equipped for space travel as was Dragge. The clone worked for about five hours equipping his armor with oxygen tanks that would supply him with life in space and turning his ship into a space ship.
Megaman approached Dragge with a grim look upon his face. "Will this Dagger character follow you?"
"Yeah he will." Or would he? The entire group was there watching Dragge prepare for what might be his final mission. Dragge picked up a wrench and tightened a few loose bolts. "Listen, this may be the last time I see anyone. Drifter, take care of Erin. Bola, stay on the side of justice. Yohmi, Met, I hope you guys become a good team. Roll, keep Megaman company. Trigger my brother, don't forget that I was always your perfect clone, even if I was the forty sixth. Also, keep the Bonnes in line and out of trouble. Elunia my wife, I'll always be there, even when I'[m not." Dragge slowly kissed Elunia on the lips for maybe the last time.
"Dragge, I'll make sure that you're revered as a great hero in the books." Trigger stated.
"Thanks bro." Dragge opened up the cockpit and prepped for take-off. He felt enclosed as his helmet formed around his head. Dragge flipped a few switches and looked one last time at his friends and family. In a matter of seconds he was in space.
Alright Dagger, bring it on. As if on cue a blip appeared on Dragge's radar. Visuals showed it to be a dragon form of his own armor. Not yet. Just need to reach the sun. Dagger was closing in fast and hit Dragge's ship from behind. Dragge hit the throttle and went into Mach speeds. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The sun approached quickly and before he ran straight into it Dragge activated his oxygen tanks and ejected the still ship. Dagger was upon him in seconds. Dragge was hit by a claw and nearly flew into the sun. "Give it your all Dagger. Bring IT!"
The dragon released it's horrible roar and rushed Dragge. The digger had other things in mind as he grabbed hold of the monstrosity and lashed away with punches of steel. The beast roared in pain and tried to lash back but Dragge was too small.
This heat is unbearable. Dragge gained a quick upper hand and used his foot jets to push the monster into the sun. Dragge saw an explosion occur in his face from the destruction of Dagger and after flying a few feet into open space Dragge saw nothing. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back on Terra
The group saw an explosion near the sun and knew the worst had to have occurred. Everyone broke down in tears except for Megaman who tried to hold them back. I can't look weak. I just can't. The rest of that day the group weeped together. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two Days Later
The funeral was long. It took place on Ostasis Island where Dragge grew to know as his home. People from all over the world had come. A lot of people had something to say about the late digger as well and it took hours to get through everybody.
Since there was no body a tombstone was the only thing that could be put on a grave site until someone could go retrieve the body. You will be remembered Dragge. Megaman thought. The reaverbot threat and Nemesis will be fought off in time. Until then, it was great to have known you. Megaman walked off toward the direction of the Flutter wondering where fate would take him and the rest next.

Epilogue
Space can't really be called space. A ton of debris lay around Terra including the inactive satellites of the once active Master System. Among the debris lay a lone figure nearly alive.
Dragge looked toward Terra and tried to smile. What happened? he asked himself. Then it came back to him. Dagger was thrown into the deadly flames of the sun and a huge burst knocked him out. I can't believe I'm almost home.
Dragge clutched at the right side of his abdomen in pain as he stood up on some floating debris. One of his oxygen tanks had been blown off and his armor was in need of dire repairs. His small jets barely worked as he got just enough momentum to head toward Terra. Here I come guys.
The only Dragge didn't know was that he wouldn't be on the Terra he remembered.
To be continued...
