As much as I like Obsession from .hack//SIGN, I have to give this one to Reckless Fire from the s-CRY-ed anime. It's soooo awesome.

For all of us behind on our anime terms, what exactly is an OP? Before I go and scratch my head and say "Order of Preachers!"

It means "Opening Theme". I didn't know until recently.

Hmm... I personally like Cruel Angel Thesis from Evangelion. Ready Steady Go from Full Metal Alchemist is also good. And that new show they have on Adult Swim, Paranoia Agent? Its opening has an odd sort of appeal to it as well... The best opening songs are from video games of course. Anime OPs are nice, but they simply don't compare. Also, why is the abbreviation OP? Wouldn't it be OT?

I don't know why, but that's just what it's called. -_-

My favs are Freckles from Rouroni Kenshin, the opening of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and the Samurai Champloo song rocks as well. But now that I think about it, Paranoia Agent does have a really good theme song.... man... last night's episode was WIERD...

Hmm... I personally like Cruel Angel Thesis from Evangelion I second that. I really like the cast version. I had that song stuck in my head for like half a year. Another one I really like is the japanese SonicX theme. Just cuz the dude singin' it sounds crazy. And the Japanese Rockman EXE Axess theme for the awesome guitar parts.

Hmm... since it's so highly acclaimed, do you guys know of a place where I can download the song from? Or even a BT of one episode?
Oh, and I completely forgot about the Parappa the Rapper theme song. HOTTEST. SONG. EVER!!!! Man, I love that song.... Really good anime too.

Ah, I’d probably have to agree with most of you guys as I’m not too good at picking favorites. Although I’m not a big fan of GitS, I do like the intro quite a bit and I definitely like “Ready Steady Go” from FMA. I remember liking Freckles, but honestly, it’s been a while since I last saw it so I can’t say for sure, and I’ve never seen a Parappa anime. Paranoia Agent’s intro is also good… in a weird way (the composer said it was made to wake people up because Paranoia Agent had a late time slot). And yeah, ep 5 is weird… But 6 (Hesitation over the Attack) and 7 (MHz) are good, and it’s where the plot thickens (which makes eps 8-10 a let down as they’re more of a social commentary than storyline, but after that it gets good again). Anyways, to fulfill Pharaoh’s request, here is… Cruel Angel’s Thesis (Zankoku na Tenshi no TE-ZE) Cruel Angel’s Thesis (Cast Version) - If you’re wondering what TE-ZE is, it is the Japanese spelling/pronunciation of ‘these,’ which is German for ‘thesis’And just for the heck of it, and since I have it on hand at the moment… Dream Island Obsessional Park (Yume no Shima Shinen Kouen) - You can also get some of the unreleased tracks from the OST and a few other things that the composer put up hereEh, and I could probably post the other themes such as the FMA ones and what have you if you want. But since it takes a while to upload I’ll wait to see if anyone wants them

Curse you G^2! The Eva theme is going to be stuck in my head for another half a year now... why, oh why did I have to see if the cast version you posted was the same one I was talking about?
Oooh, ya know what else is good? The Eva theme thingy done by piano and guitar. I think they used that in like the last and second to last episodes of the series. Awesome-ness.
uhh.... let's see... other good OPs. the Onegai Teacher OP was pretty good. Didn't really stick with me though. The DearS OP was pretty cute, but some of the clips in that were excessively perverted... *sigh* good song though. =/

Freckles. FOUND IT!!! Man, I love the AOL music search... Anyways, if you haven't heard of it, www.animesuki.com has really good fansubs of unreleased anime that you can torrent. The only ones I've ever downloaded are the 4 episodes that they released of Parappa the Rapper...... I WISH IT'D COME TO AMERICA . Oh well, you should download it just because of the AMAZINGLY AWESOME opening sequence/ theme song. I can't get it out of my head, it's so catchy. But if someone has a good source for finding anime songs, the songs called "Love Together" and I would gladly do anything for you if you found it. MUST. HAVE. SONG!!! Oh, and I listened to that song. Pretty good, pretty good. Not my favorite, but better than a lot. Oh, and I just remembered, I really like the Inuyasha theme. Not the opening song, but the "theme song" that they play throughout the show that's orchestral. IF ANYONE HAS THAT, I'D LOVE IT!!!!

OK, I just finished BTing 26 episodes of Bomberman Jetterz, and the theme song lyrics are freaking hilariously lost in translation. Here they are*:
Hah! Hah! The bombs are bursting! Fire! Fire! In English, it's fire! Fuf! Fuf! The bombs are increasing! Hey! Hey! Let's make fires of peace! Somehow, we're always involved. All this time, being either cold or sweating. There are many things to decide. I'm at the edge of a cliff (Hah ha~) If I have to, I'll do it, regardless of how many times. Raise the power! (Yes!!) If I don't do it, who else will? I'll answer the call for hope. Three. Two. One. I won't forget this, even when I become and adult. Three. Two. One. Your heart is burning because you're invincible. Today and tomorrow. I'm at the edge of a cliff. Bab! Bab! Babibube bombs. Beauty! Beauty! Beautiful, male fire! Pup! Pup! What about fractions? Be! Be! I'm learning about fire!!
*Words in bold are sung in English.
Now you can not tell me that that is hilarious.

Favorite Anime opening theme... #_# So, so many good ones, so hard to pick... My favorite would have to be Sugar Baby Love, from the Anime Snow Fairy Sugar. Not only is the opening itself good, but the song is one of my all-time favorites. Snow Fairy Sugar is a very obscure Anime, so I doubt anyone has heard of it... but if you happen to search for the song, avoid the english version at all costs. My second favorite that people might know about is Change The World, the first theme from InuYasha. Truely great song, a shame the Anime itself couldn't turn out as good.
