Yes, Monanoke was a good movie. Really violent, but it's all the same to the desensitized masses.
Really though, why would anyone allow their children to watch a movie about demons and feral warfare laden with violence yet not something as lighthearted as the make-believe ability to shoot things from your hands? I can think of a couple of explanations, but no good one. O.o
Ah, and add Comic Party to the list I gave earlier.
My, I seem to like this stuff more then I thought...

Yup there is nothing wrong with worriors who can choot beams from there hands and will fight to daeth over lil orange balls with stars yup it certainly doesnt brain wash or de sensitize children but movies with demons and killing and Gods and war is just obscene. (i was being sarcastic)

I....I like to read FLCL.... it's got a lot of sick humor and I can't for the life of me follow the plot... but the art is awesome.
....Brigadoon is a sweet manga.... it's got fighting robots and stuff....
....I like Inu Yasha 'cause it's bloody and violent....
....um.... I'm not into anime too much except for Digimon. The Japanese movies are so awesome.... the American version left random fight scenes out.... the best ones too.

I have gained a awesome love for Full Metal Alchemist. Such a terrific show!!! I remember being a Poke'mon fan. That changed. I'm not saying I think its stupid for all those still fans, just doesn't follow my enterist like it use too. Those card selling anime shows in my opinion just don't make great animes. But thats just me.

Hm... is it the .hack// series?
Anyways, my current favorite animes are Fullmetal Alchemist and FLCL. Not to mention Yu-Gi-Oh. And when it was on, G Gundam was pretty cool too.
Wait, didn't I say this before?

Cartoon Network is bringing out Naruto? So there is still justice in the world...
They really would do well to bring back some of the older ones they used to show for the new generation of viewers. I remember the Tenchi series, the original Zoids, and a few more that you don't hear much of anymore...
I had an even harder time understanding the .hack// story then I did FLCL. I was able to catch the gist of FLCL, but the .hack// was very vague, and often seemed to skip around to different points in the plot without warning. There are many just as hard to understand, but that’s what I enjoy about them. Being vague is far better then stating the obvious repeatedly, like I see in many shows these days.

And from what I've heard at TVTome, they're only gonna cut out flowing blood (FLOWING, not ALL blood) and some inappropriate language and the like, but not all blood, nor Naruto stabbing his hand. They weren't going to air it on Adult swim because they needed to make the show more popular on Toonami. Also, the anime portion of Adult Swim used to be a recycle bin for old Toonami animes, with its own Adult Swim-ified anime.

.hack was indeed vague. That's what I liked about it. I played the games, watched the DVDs, watched the anime, and I know the whole, amazing story. I love it.

I haven't been too much into anime and manga as of late. Ever since the swelling anime and manga section devoured the American comic book section at one of my favorite bookstores, I have been bitter ever since.
You know, if they had replaced little gems of goodness such as Alan Moore's "Watchmen," Neil Gaiman's "Sandman," and the simply gorgeous Hellblazer special "All His Engines" (vrrrrrm) with some quality manga titles like "Akira," "Nausicaa" and maybe a Tezuka or two instead of hack trash Americanized How-to-Draw Manga books (No offense to Christopher Hart - your real style is excellent, your anime imitation art is just atrocious.) I wouldn't be so angry. Heck, most of my purchases at A-Kon were of the American comic variety. I'll explain in another post sooner or later.
Anyway, enough of my lamenting against anime and manga. If there were some anime I want to see, it'd be "The Cat Returns," "Howl's Moving Castle," or "Steamboy." The first was produced by Stuidio Ghilbi, heard about it through some other sites and it had my interests perked up. Second is the latest Miyazaki, meaning it should not be missed (and in theaters, god, watching a Miyazaki in the theater is just awesome, awesome stuff). The third is done by the same dude behind Akira. Akira being one of my favorite anime and mangas ever, ever, ever, it's more or less likely a must see, even despite the crap and little, little money it got in theaters.
Don't worry, Mr. Otomo, I still love you and your zany ideas.
